Ottawa Redblacks In Town Part 2
Fatty Liver replied to USABomberfan's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
Miles looks a little thick to be covering receivers, I can't see them playing him at WIL. I don't know why they don't start Wilson at MLB and stick Warren in at WIL, ratio is irrelevant. -

This has been bugging me for a solid week but this isn't the first time Lawler had a brain fart, he did a similar thing in the Esks. pre-season game. Caught the ball almost sitting down, left it sitting on his lap because he thought he was already down and an Esk. defender came from behind and knocked it out, lucky it wasn't declared a fumble. O'Shea challenged to no avail. Unfortunately I can't find any video of the play but there is this evidence. (10:56) B. BENNETT Incomplete Pass intended for K. LAWLER at E20, PLAY REVIEWED (Coach): Call Stands, CHALLENGE: Winnipeg challenged the incomplete pass -

Everybody knew the UCP was going to win the election, including Kenney. So why did he chose to cheat? Did he think they would not get caught or does he not care either way? Even after an investigation has revealed tons of dirt, Kenney will admit to none of it. 'Kamikaze' Alberta UCP leadership candidate fined $70,000 for irregular donations" Callaway ran a "kamikaze" campaign on behalf of Jason Kenney, now Alberta's premier. Kenney won the UCP leadership on Oct. 28, 2017, after the Alberta Progressive Conservative and Wildrose parties merged. Callaway ran for the sole purpose of targeting Kenney's chief rival, former Wildrose leader Brian Jean, and then dropping out of the race to support Kenney. Both men deny the allegations, but CBC News has obtained emails showing higher-ups in Kenney's campaign circle providing resources — strategic political direction, media and debate talking points, speeches, videos and attack advertisements — to the Callaway campaign. There was a timeline for when Callaway would drop out of the campaign and throw his support behind Kenney. Kenney's deputy chief of staff, Matt Wolf, even emailed a resignation speech to Callaway the day he dropped out of the leadership race. https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/calgary/jeff-callaway-kamikaze-commissioner-fines-1.5216446

Rivalries, Late Starts, & Game Days - Attendance

Prices have been increasing across the board on everything, name one item that hasn't seen a substantial price increase over the last 3 years? In the 70's inflation was talked about on a daily basis, now the media doesn't even mention it. -

Curious, what is the price range for Jets season tickets? -
Starting last season under Jones with the signing of Collaros I'm convinced Sask. has been attempting to build a LaPo style offence, this season with the addition of Powell to duplicate the role Harris fills as the workhorse it looks even more so. Their major failure lies in not investing enough to rebuild their Natl. O-line talent at the foundation, as well as not yet finding a consistent reliable QB.

I believe the league asks for the players side of the story before levying a fine so it's strange that they would follow through as it does not look like intentional contact.

Laing fined for his hit on Nichols. TORONTO — The Canadian Football League (CFL) announced three fines after Week 5 action on Wednesday. Toronto Argonauts defensive lineman Cleyon Laing was fined for a high hit on Winnipeg Blue Bombers quarterback Matt Nichols. Hamilton Tiger-Cats receiver Brandon Banks was fined for making unnecessary contact on an on-field official in Saturday’s game versus Calgary. Hamilton Tiger-Cats defensive back Delvin Breaux was fined for making unnecessary contact out of bounds on Calgary Stampeders running back Ka’Deem Carey. As per league policy, the amounts of the player fines were not disclosed. https://www.cfl.ca/2019/07/17/three-players-fined-week-5-action/

To be fair in the picture below melt water is to be expected from the sun striking that rock face and it looks like recent erosion would have contributed to the formation of that puddle. Still at that altitude the lake should remain frozen.

My neighbours are from Switzerland, they say skiing in the Alps has has changed drastically over the last 10 years, less runs and the ones they have are getting shorter every year.

Oh look, we have a misplaced history nerd. 😁 -
I think this is the week Reilly finally gets on track.

Griffiths plus Dondre Wright???
-
More likely to insert Dondre Wright than Griffiths IMO, his skillset is more closely matched to Briggs.
-
My favourite sports interview.
-
Talk about serious bad luck, Briggs waits 6 years to get a start and in both games he starts, he incurs unrelated injuries severe enough to remove him from each game.

I caught a discussion on Rider Radio a couple of weeks ago with one of the Rider reporters complaining about the control the CFL has taken over media reports and limiting player access to interviews in order to "control the message", which has diminished the flavour and the shine player personalities added to the league in the past. His point was limiting access made it much harder for fans to get to know the players as many of them never interview and those that do are essentially trained like seals to spout the company line. Watching Bomber interviews day after day on their website, I tend to agree with his opinion, they have become exceedingly boring to the point that you can predict the answer to any question with almost 100% accuracy, especially O'Shea's.

Right, that was the game I was thinking about. JENNINGS, Jonathon 26/35 74.3% 329 2 1

To put it in context this happened in 1974 when the price of a beer was around 50 cents. Still 5 for the price of one....people are going to lose their minds. -
I don't think so, in 2017 the Bombers were fighting with the Esks. for a home playoff game right down to the wire, they both ended up 12-6.
