  1. Phase two of the ramp up to war with Iran....stay tuned. https://www.cbc.ca/news/business/tankers-gulf-oman-hormuz-1.5173404
  2. That's how innovation should work, the makers of the A&W straws will adapt the technology of the 7-11 straws or get out of the straw making business.
  3. Don't forget to bring your white flag.
  4. Well I guess there is a counterpoint to any initiative, no matter how pointless it is. Some people simply can not see beyond the end of their noses.
  5. As the roster currently stands they don't have an extra Import DB to do that, so that can't be the plan. Alexander, Fenner, Gaitor, Rose, Sayles, are all they have, the rest were shuffled onto the PR.
  6. Jones has been in Wpg. since 2014 and is now among the longest serving Bombers, not sure why he should require any more seasoning. I'm hoping the reason he's under Hecht is injury related.
  7. A player that should be re-classified under this rule is Boris Bede the Als kicker, born in France but played for Laval from 2011 to 2014.
  8. Four things, 1. He was cut by the Riders last year. 2. He's 5'-9", a full 7" shorter than Loffler. 3. He's slow. 4. Remember Hurl?
  9. Man, you nailed it!
  10. I think he'd stick with his first name Meffy, or just nickname him King Kong.
  11. I only wish Cactus was still alive.
  12. Scared of Koloamatangi.
  13. As long as they beat BC I don't really care who plays, but having 3 new faces on the O-line is a frightening prospect, hopefully they can protect Nichols and make holes for Harris.
  14. This may cause some inconvenience but hopefully spurs innovation, we definitely have a plastic problem that needs to be addressed now. The everyday objects likely to be hit by federal ban on single-use plastics https://nationalpost.com/news/canada/the-everyday-objects-likely-to-be-hit-by-federal-ban-on-single-use-plastics
  15. I'm not sure that is a fair assessment. "From 2000–04, as head coach of the Packers Sherman compiled a 53–27 record, and a .663 winning percentage, which was the second highest in Packers history, trailing that of Vince Lombardi's, who is one of the most successful coaches in the history of football." He also showed up in one of the seasons of "NFL Hard Knocks" as an O.C. (can't recall the year or team) and he wasn't the incompetent fool people are portraying him to be, he did come off as a bit of a hard-ass though.
  16. I'm worried Neufeld could be in the same boat as LaBatte, it sounded from Walters press-conference that he is week to week, which could mean anything but troubling having not touched the field. Anyone know if Paddy had off-season surgery? Apparently Foketi did.
  17. LOL totally forgot about old Joe sitting right in the middle of this mess, at home in his comfort spot.
  18. ....and no ulterior motives.
  19. I agree but I would keep both Miller and Simonese over Rush, I'd love to see a positional depth chart of ST to get a better understanding of the roles they play. Hansen will contribute as well taking up a spot on ST's.
  20. I could see that playing against College kids, but he carries the least bulk of any of them so he's really not suited to running the ball in the CFL.
  21. Apparently they're looking at BC's roster closely, interesting Walters would reveal that.
  22. I couldn't figure that statement out, Walters said he was the 4th of 4 Canadians behind Demski and Woli., which must mean he was ranked behind Petermann, Oliveira and Augustine. I guess if two Natl. receivers go down they will play Petermann and make a ratio adjustment elsewhere. https://www.bluebombers.com/2019/06/10/kyle-walters-season-preview-press-conference/ As for your comment on 2 FB's, Harris and Oliveira play and Augustine backs up both positions, so 3 are needed. Rush is ST only.
  23. This article makes a very good point, the term "climate change" should be changed to "climate crisis" as the effects are being felt right now. British newspaper takes lead in reframing climate change discussion https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/calgary/climate-change-journalism-language-guardian-cbc-1.5166678
  24. It sounds as if desperation is beginning to take over from logic, hopefully they have some background in football or more connection to Montreal than just being born there. Reeks of Glieberman.
