My money is still on: OL at 2, either Chungh or Groulx. Then best WR available at 11, be it Demski, Harty or Richards. Then a defensive player at 15.

Brock Ralph is no Willard Reaves though.

@PentonKirk: No contract offer for OL Alex Mateas from the New York Jets. #CFL
-
@Demski9: Had a blast competing in Cleveland! Not the outcome I wanted.. But now anticipating May 12 that much more! #CFLDraft @scratchingpost: Hear the #Ticats are trying to move up in the #CFL Draft. I think they want an OL & are concerned they'll be slim pickings at No. 8.

@DidierRDS: None of the 12 Canadians attending the Giants rookie minicamp has been offered a contract. #CFL #CIS

Or maybe you just have a different opinion and there's no need to get your panties in a bunch. The fact you felt the need to post this tells me your panties are in full blown wedgie mode! lol -
Who is your surprise training camp cut?

Okay then I guess there's zero percent chance he starts the season on the IR. An athlete has never been overly optimistic when returning from a serious injury. -

Ya he told me the same thing, but I still have my doubts he's ready to go to start the season. ACL injuries are serious and the recovery can go slower than expected. -

Zach Anderson won't be cut, but I could see him starting the season on the IR. -
Some guy on CJOB just said the NFL recently changed it's rules to be more liberal with who they invite to their mini-camps. Not sure exactly what was changed, but we're seeing those results this year.

Shaw Communications named presenting sponsor of Grey Cup
gbill2004 replied to TrueBlue's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
Yes, it's definitely a good thing, but packaging it to fans as a "major" announcement, was a little misleading, in my opinion. -

Was this the "major" announcement? Very lame. -
So you're saying that you're pretty much the opposite of Troy Stoudermire, in terms of packages?

I wouldn't call it a nightmare, that's a little extreme don't you think?Needing two of Thomas, Briggs or Sherman on the field at all times would not be good. Who knows if Newman will be anywhere close to where he was pre-injury?Briggs has big potential, and I see him as kind of a hedge on Hurl, but the other two can't handle more than a couple dozen snaps a game in the right situations. I think we might end up starting 8 Canadians for some in-game flexibility, assuming everyone is healthy. The sooner we get Louie Richardson off the roster the better too. This move probably guarantees it, we've got a good teams guy in Ivan Brown signed too who probably takes Richardson's spot directly, plus draft picks and Newman. Newman will be in the mix at LB too.Newman is listed as DB so I was thinking he would get a shot at Safety ? Ya Newman can play both Safety and LB. With Leggett at Safety, I don't see Newman getting many reps there.

Multiple 2015 CFL Combine Participants Failed Drug Tests
gbill2004 replied to gbill2004's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
It might not matter to all GMs, but I'm sure some GMs will see this as demonstrating poor character. -
Competition is always good. We now have competition to start within position groups and between position groups.

Multiple 2015 CFL Combine Participants Failed Drug Tests

Here's the details and player names: http://3downnation.com/2015/05/07/exclusive-five-players-test-positive-for-performance-enhancing-drugs-at-cfl-combines/ -
Remember Zach Anderson is still recovering from a serious ACL injury and is not guaranteed to be ready for the start of the season. Could take half a season or more before he re-gains confidence in his knee.
-
Bucknor held his own last year. I don't see a drop off between him and an American DB.
-
Hurl, Bucknor, Westerman, Greaves, Picard, Neufeld/Goossen, Kohlert (JFG is another option).
