  1. Sorry, couldn't resist.
  2. Here, compliments of probably the best offensive defenseman in the league right now, a blueprint for a Jet win tonight: "It's just going to have to be getting better at everything we're doing. Making sure that we play to our strengths," Cale Makar said.
  3. The first 10 minutes, heck the first 5 minutes of this game, will tell us if the Jets commit to dictating how this game will be played for their success. If we see the same pattern as we saw from the first two games and Helle is average, ruh roh.
  4. Maple Leafs Won’t Go Far with Samsonov in Net Story by Rupert McDonald, The Hockey Writers • 46m • 3 min read Pitchforks, knives, switchblades etc being readied for their annual use in Leaf Nation. Not that the Jet Nation is innocent when it comes to this (insert me grabbing my pearls) but hey I just really dislike the Leafs. 🙂 Sorry not sorry?
  5. He was an outstanding broadcaster providing many years of comforting entertainment for us regardless of the team you cheered for.
  6. So I assume Utah will be winning the Stanley Cup next year courtesy of Bettman and company? Wait, they're not an expansion team. Forget it.
  7. Poached from the Hockey Writers (Mark Zlomistic): Avalanche Statistic Jets 58.3% SF 41.7% 59.8% SCF 40.2% 56.8% HDCF 43.2% 65.2% xGF 34.8% Yikes. Need to flip that script in Game 3 please and thank you.
  8. "We know we can be more aggressive as well and definitely not sitting back and giving them too much respect.” There's the blueprint for game 3 success courtesy of Josh Morrissey.
  9. Swayman demonstrating why he’s an elite NHL goaltender in the playoffs.
  10. Yup fortunate yet unfortunate. Fortunate in helping us get to the show then unfortunately fell apart when we needed it the most.
  11. Auston Matthews sneezed at practice today. Numerous articles and tweets incoming from Sportnet personalities and their sources keeping all of us abreast at what this means.
  12. If true how to ruin a reputation in one fell swoop.
  13. I just don't understand the difficulty the Jets are having in bringing consistent high levels of structured intensity to their every shift. Puck battles, forechecking, back checking etc lacks energy that is totally opposite of how the Avs are playing. To me that means lack of preparation, discipline, focus etc. Toffoli didn't seem in the game at all. No energy, disinterested.
  14. I really thought after that huge 4 minute pk then 55’s beauty tap in we were going to take over. Nope.
  15. Yup they’re playing nervous chasing Av players all around the ice.
  16. Jets need to settle the F down and play their hockey. Lots of time. Avs dictating play for the most part making them run around with no structure.
  17. My armchair qbing is not liking Samberg’s game right now after almost 4 periods. But I’m sure I’m missing something. Win a F’ing faceoff please. Jeebus.
  18. Our pk will need to step up now as things will get evened up.
  19. Colorado D are pinching a lot. We need to make them pay for that.
  20. That would be hilarious if they gave this award out at end of year. As Garrett Marino was unable to be here, I'd like to call on Simoni Lawrence to present our next award, King Douchebag . . .
  21. As admin time is all volunteer time not sure I'd agree with this.
  22. Adam Proteau from the hockey News is thinking the Jets are going home early. Thinks if the the Avs can get good goaltending, their domination of the Jets in the first game and the Jets porous defensive play might be difficult for the Jets to overcome and uses last years Jets first win against the Knights than 4 straight losses as something that might come again. I'm hoping last years team and this years team are two different beasts that makes his comparison flawed not to mention the fact that we were one of the better defensive teams this year that hopefully can show it's self in game two.
  23. Thanks to whoever added the Jets emoticon!
  24. I was enthralled in listening to Jake Allen break that goal down from a Goalies perspective. For example, it was not the five hole, it was the triangle spot that was hit by NM. I think with seasoning Jake Allen will fit in nicely in the Broadcast booth if that's something he wants to do after his playing days are over.
