Watching Volleyball at the Olympics, the CFL should adopt how coaches are able to challenge. Within five seconds of the official call made, they had to make the challenge or it was too late. That would make it a lot tougher for the CFL Coaches to go on fishing expeditions. As soon as the ref makes the call, the timer is on. The other thing I think should happen is they don't call pi if the ball is uncatchable so they should also call no penalty on penalties challenged by coaches that had no effect on a play that happened well away from that infraction. It's the same logic in my mind. Consistency is needed with these challenges.

John Bowman's two back to back penalties were even more stupid. Huge change in field position for us.

Jason Mass, win with some class.

Will your posts reflect the progression of that buzz? If so, I'll be there for the show. :-) Go Blue! -
That will never happen and even the remote chance it did I could see Pavelec refusing.

What's guaranteed in his contract, anyone know? -
Ironically adding these emoticons is patronizing in reacting to how you felt about his post. Just saying. I'll go back to lurking.

Well, even though someone just mentioned this was posted a week and a half ago, this helped me as I jump in and out of conversations sometimes not reading every post so thank you.

You missed my point plus what you say doesn't make sense but oh well carry on. -
Question about Rod Pederson vs other media

Hey I agree with you about Rider Rod, I'm just suggesting it happens a lot with people (including myself), at varying levels, at varying degrees of nausea inducing. -
Question about Rod Pederson vs other media

There in lies the problem (hopefully sans drivel) that a lot of us are guilty in doing. Some more than others and some more extreme than others. -
Back From Bye: Week 10 vs Montreal

If that happens, that would confirm that loyalty (or whatever) to certain players overrides pure common sense. Let's call it the Hurl complex. -
Good gracious no. I'd rather pry Travis Lulay away from BC if we're talking insurance.

The only thing I disagree with you is keep Frederick in, no rotation. -

I'd agree with this. The things he does consistently is what we call, 'player' made the tackle, Thomas made the play. -
Your profile pic would be what that would look like . . .. And if it is an actual pic of you, my apologies. :-)

Actually displaying bias comes in non-verbal ways quite early in life as well. Okay, I'll stop.

Just to be technical, human behavioral science tells us being 100% objective can't be done. Unless of course a baby coming out of the womb is asked for their opinion.

I'm not referring to the actual issue BLM raised as to why his Rep would be upset , it's how BLM did it, i.e., not following the proper protocol and maybe even making the Stamps Rep look bad in the process.
-
Makes sense to me. I'm assuming the Stamps CFL PA rep is non too happy with BLM . . .
-
That is the 64 dollar question, because if the CFL doesn't authentically have this process in place, then posting it on twitter becomes more relevant. BTW I'm not trying to defend BLM, more of hoping the CFL uses this event as an improvement opportunity.
-
Okay fair enough, but what if it turns out to be true? Aren't you in effect penalizing the whistle blower?
-
Some people who work for professional organizations/associations put a caveat on their twitter declaring tweets are their own and don't necessarily reflect that of any organization they are affiliated with. I went on his page and he doesn't seem to mention that. If he had, would it still be appropriate to fine him?

Odds and Sods - Game 8 - Bombers at Argos

That's a great point that some people don't realize. It happens at all levels of football and sometimes exposes the wrong player.
