  1. Nope. I disagree. Just jump on social media whether it's journalists and/or key board warriors. The problem is it gets convoluted with 'everyone does it, you're just not paying attention if you only present one side, here's the links'. It's everywhere you look. Then that one side gets away with it because, even by your own words, we don't feel the need to re-iterate the original lie/spreading of misinformation. The time has come to focus energy and efforts on how do we impose consequences of lying and what needs to happen and less on twitter shaming the lie or follow-up lies on the original lie. Left, right, middle pay for for your lies.
  2. Fair enough. However what frustrates me is when someone lies and/or disseminates misinformation that hurts others then someone else reports on these lies/misinformation but adds their own narrative on top of that which can be misleading and/or false, the first reaction for some is to deal with the latter first and then it feels like the original lie/misinformation is being exonerated by deflecting the attention to other liars/misleaders. All I ever hear when some are reacting to stories like this is False narratives everywhere, Bias's, everyone is pushing their own agenda's, everyone lies etc etc and that's where the conversation stops. It's a perfect scenario for a liar to feel no consequence for their behaviour. 'Look they're lying too!' My wife and I have two children, a daughter and son. We've all lied, some more impactful then others. We've also exaggerated and/or added misleading information to the original lie. However, most times we have paid a consequence for a lie we have told regardless of another one of us lying as well.
  3. That’s f’ing insane but let’s be nice in trying to convince these ‘lawmakers’ and their supporters on the downfalls of this approach. Ffs.
  4. Fair enough. I just think this might be his last mulligan if things remain the same or regress next year. Eventually the buck has to stop at him.
  5. Yea I get that but sometimes people can be let go with years remaining on their contract.
  6. Garland: 'No one is above the law'. Lol.
  7. Nope. Agree to disagree on that one.
  8. What are reasonable expectations specifically for Chevy next year? I would think making post season would be one of them. If the Jets don't make the post season next year, that can't only fall on the shoulders of his next hire imo.
  9. Yup. Depends on what one is talking about I guess.
  10. Back in the day this would be scandalous. Now it’s, that’s it? That’s all he did? What about (insert name) and what they did? No resignation?
  11. ‘Bad exercise of freedom.’ Perfectly put.
  12. At least a warning like you shouldn’t drink or smoke if you’re pregnant sort of thing.
  13. Hey we’re just entertainment. Talk show hosts. No one takes us seriously. 76 million people say what?
  14. And I just got off the phone with the Goaltending Gods and they have yet to decide which Mike Smith shows up in the playoffs, the one where a lot of Oiler fans wanted him to retire already not too long ago or the one where all is forgotten everything good now, he's the best. I think just to push you over the edge in blocking me would be to end with Go Flames but I won't do that.
  15. Oilers suck. Sorry but haven't mentioned that to you specifically for a while. :-)
  16. Thanks Debbie. Go Kings.
  17. I throw this in a World Politic thread discussion. 🙂
  18. On an unrelated note, Leafs, Oilers ousted in the first round please.
  19. I don't make light of this at all, but CTE.
  20. I know, so seamless.
  21. A truly moronic and incoherent 'yes but' argument.
  22. Sorry I wasn’t thinking of anyone specific here with my post. I’m just hyper sensitive on people minimizing bad behaviour with yea but arguments. It’s everywhere you look being used completely inappropriately imo. I really need to get off twitter or at least just watch cute videos of animals.
  23. Wasn’t directed at you my friend, just what I see around me sometimes. Just frustrating to me of how things can get greatly minimized by the yea but argument. It can make one’s head spin.
  24. Like this a both sides argument? Like this is a propaganda coming from both sides argument? Yup there’s lunatics everywhere you look, left, right, middle but sorry that’s no where near enough ‘detail’ to say yea but to justify, minimize, water down what is happening to Ukraine and it’s people.
