  1. Ehlers salts it away with the empty netter, and the best Jets goalie in the last month gets his first shutout of the year. Best defensive effort and overall game since the shutout win over Florida in my mind.
  2. Nice kill by the Jets working the wall well down low. And Jets answer on the odd man rush right after the kill as the third line comes through with a great rush. Lowry doubles the lead.
  3. It took a while but Scheifele opens the scoring in the third after a timely pinch from Morrissey and quick feed from Namestnikov.
  4. Game time: 9 PM TSN3 Storyline: the rematch on the West Coast. Jets load up at the trade deadline, and the rosters expand. New players won’t debut until Monday, but the first of a back-to-back. Brossoit to start apparently.
  5. A little from column A: A little from column B:
  6. Day drinking is no way to go through life.😉
  7. Not sure how much more of the team’s future I would mortgage for temp fill-ins. Big names are gone, price will be high, and the competition is wide open this year. 5 legit West contenders, not counting the defending champs who just made a big splash themselves in the trade market, and a Kings team that showed how hot it could get in November, and a surging Nashville. Jets have four line depth and the best goalie in the business now, enough to have kept them at the top of the Conference all season. May be enough to take a run as is. We haven’t even considered adding Heinola or McGroarity to the mix yet as depth.
  8. Prukop with Jackson lead blocking would have scored that TD.
  9. Kennerd with the game winning point……on a missed 11 yard field goal. After having kicked one wide from 12 yards out earlier in the game.
  10. He’s made some big saves, but a couple of the goals he’s let in have been soft for him.
  11. And now the late power play against. Hold your breath.
  12. Logan Stanley teeing off from the blue line. Second and third lines of the Jets carrying the offensive zone time.
  13. Jets’ flu vs Seattle’s back-to-back fatigue: which takes hold first? To be fair Jets have carried the play and shot chances are almost 2:1, but Seattle’s transition odd-man rushes are killing us tonight.
  14. Apparently the flu bug is ripping its way through the Jets dressing room. Govern your disappointment accordingly if the team looks sluggish.
  15. @FrostyWinnipeg love the thread title, I am making my pitch right now for Friday’s re-match thread to be titled “From SEA to shining SEA”
  16. What TSN says is he never fumbled and never lost one. It does not mention turnovers on downs. And I know for a fact those stats are not completely accurate. In his one game as a Bomber rushing he failed on a 3rd and goal QB sneak attempt against Hamilton, and after that Dru Brown became the short yardage QB until they brought Prukop back and cut Pigrome. Once in Ottawa he failed on two more 3rd and short attempts. His most infamous gaffe was in a 3 point loss to the Ti-Cats where he had 3 cracks from the Hamilton 1 yard line to punch it in and got zero yards each time (in fact he fumbled the 2nd down play but his teammate recovered it).
