  1. No idea how reliable this is, but here it is:
  2. No. First tiebreaker is purely regulation wins, Jets have more than any team in the NHL there with 43 (tied with Carolina). Next adds in OT wins as well, but not shootout wins. The Jets’ total of 49 is second best (tied with the Canes, only one behind the Rangers’ league leading total of 50). Third tiebreaker is total wins (this includes shootout wins as well). Only the Jets, Canucks, Flames, and Devils have yet to win a shootout contest this year.
  3. The head-to-head results are actually the 4th tiebreaker. The first is wins in regulation, then regulation and OT wins, then total wins. Jets actually hold the tiebreaker over Dallas, so the Stars need 2 points to clinch first place. Jets are leading Colorado by 2 wins in the first tiebreaker, so there is no mathematical way that the Jets and Avs end up tied in points at the end of the year and the Jets lose the tiebreaker at this point. Tonight’s game is huge for both teams if they want to finish second, but bigger for Colorado not to lose, as they have less room for error in that they have to finish ahead of Winnipeg in points to claim second. Jets get there if they finish tied.
  4. It is only 2 games, but both at home against the Kraken and Blues, so I wouldn’t put money on it happening.
  5. Jets 2 goals ahead of Florida for the Jennings trophy, but with one less game played. Brossoit needs to at least appear in the last 3 games to get to 25 appearances which you need to qualify for the award.
  6. Florida’s back-up just got his 3rd tonight as well. Pretty rare I would guess.
  7. But he did find the real killer, right when he walked past his first mirror. Then he rested easy.
  8. Unlike the thriving jazz culture in Salt Lake City or Provo.
  9. You don’t get to go to bed early and guess at outcomes!!! Where’s your pride in being a stats nerd????? The pocket protector squad will be after you!
  10. Whoever picked the 3 stars last night must have mistaken the guy in the #37 jersey for a giant piece of plywood, figuring that the Shooter Tutor made all those stops. Hellebuyck was the best player on the ice and it wasn’t even close.
  11. Well we won but I am not pleased with the mindset. Cannot sleepwalk through 30 minutes and expect to win. And Bowness’ line combos are still head scratchers. Questions to be answered, will the media ask the tough ones?
  12. That OT point for each team puts the Preds into the playoffs and secures 3rd in the division for the Jets.
  13. Some bad habits showed up that period. Can’t play defensive shell for 40 minutes. Need more attack in the 3rd.
  14. And Jets clinch 3rd in the division with a win. Saros having a bit of trouble with rebound control early.
  15. I just bought two tickets for the Grey Cup In Vancouver. Time to move on from the past and prep for the drive for five!
  16. 4th line carrying the team today - bodes well for the playoffs if all lines can get going.
