  1. Good question. It is possible since tickets have to be purchased with credit card that they could flag the guy on Ticketmaster. And if someone transferred tickets to him then the name would come up since an e-mail link is required. But it might be more old school with a picture and scanning the cameras all around the stadium. Every single seat is being watched for any trouble during the games. If he showed up he could be charged with trespass if they found him.
  2. I have children. I have no money.
  3. Just got 3 more tickets to the game on top of my two season tickets. Whole family coming out for the first time together to enjoy the West Final. Then off to the Jets game for the daily double! Pack the park!!!!!!
  4. Especially with Bo’s health issues the last few seasons. At their peak, Michael is definitely superior, and should have many good years left if playing at 100%. But the problem is he is not at 100% and may never be close to that again. That makes Maier a very valuable insurance policy and possibly the only viable option if Bo never heals (which gets closer to reality every day).
  5. As opposed to throwing beer cans at players at Grey Cup games, snowballs at opposing team benches at countless playoff games, jumping on the field and attacking opposing players, trying to tear down a broadcast tent on the field, getting in fights with police officers in the stands….. We have good fans overall, but let’s not get all self-righteous and pretend that we don’t have a small bad element as well that has historically done some stupid juvenile stuff, just like every fan base does.
  6. Calling them “average” players is a bit of an over compliment, no?
  7. I agree, but I remember pre-season where he came out for an hour, then shut it down. Also remember him skipping a whole week’s worth of practice and then showing up ready to go on game day. I am very happy he is dressed for practice, now want to see him get through practice, come back tomorrow, Friday, etc. and then run out with the starting offence Sunday. Paranoia and disappointment comes easy to Bomber fans, so baby steps for me. But this is a lot better than not seeing him out there today for sure. I am celebrating that step - quietly.
  8. I will reserve my enthusiasm for Dec.5 when he exits the tunnel.
  9. Year ain’t over yet.
  10. OK, let’s see if we can apply the same logic here. Got them where we want them (in our home barn we we haven’t lost all year). Keep being justifiably confident in the top team in the league. A few notes to add for those grasping at any reason to shoot down the Bombers: 1) Bombers were dominant enough to give themselves a cushion to not have to play any meaningful games for the final month. 2) Bombers find ways not to wind up in close games (10 wins by double digits) but also could win a close one if needed. 3) Bombers starting o-line, d-line, secondary, and offence all got stronger as the year went on, and their kicking game also got better in their last 5 games. 4) Bombers lost to only 3 teams all year. They also beat those same teams (unlike the Riders, who have yet to beat one of the teams they lost to twice - us), and two of the 3 teams we lost to are no longer threats to beat us again this year (again, unlike Sask, who have their biggest threat on the road this weekend). 5) What Sask should be trying to avenge is the 3 goal line stands that were the difference, not a bad throw off a bar with the receiver in double coverage anyway that would have only at best tied the game. But we have waited two years to win again and prove that your crossbar excuse for losing is just that, an excuse, and not a valid argument that you had a chance in that 2019 game.
  11. It may be splitting hairs to some, but there are very key legal distinctions between being “arrested” and being “detained”, and also being in”jail” versus being in a “holding cell”. It is possible that a witness or suspect is placed in a holding cell while evidence is being gathered, and is detained without ever being placed under arrest. And the club has not come out and said it is a “nothing incident”, they have acknowledged it is a breach of their personal conduct. One that did not rise to criminal conduct. Was he drunk? No one who knows one way or another has said. By what we do know and what he has admitted, was he foolish? Absolutely. But Mike is correct that we should not assume it is more or less than what we know, and go out of our way to label it a “disgrace” and overstate what it is in an attempt to denigrate the Rider organization or its players with potentially false assumptions just because it is the Riders. If there is more to the story that is newsworthy or actionable by the league or will come out.
  12. That’s the thing. I don’t see this as a game.
  13. Lots of assumptions being made by you here about his state. It is possible that if someone accused you of an assault (which is what has been reported), you would be detained, and when the video evidence shows otherwise (which has also been reported) you would be released without charge, and that could still take a few hours. Trust me on that.
  14. Right, I meant exerted their offensive will.
  15. I sung the anthem on the natural grass field at the stadium. OR I saw Bob Cameron’s rookie season.
  16. Just a reminder that the Riders led by 2 at the half of the Labour Day game and trailed by only 3 at the half of the Banjo Bowl. Bombers started to exert their will in the third quarter of each game and pulled away in the 4th both times. We should not be alarmed if the game is tight after 30 minutes, Bombers have been a second half/4th quarter team all year.
  17. There is a shuttle arranged by the club to run straight to the arena from the stadium. Game should be done by 6, hockey starts at 7.
  18. Guy has one win but two shutouts this year. On pace for his 3rd tonight.
  19. For -24 yards! 🤣🤣🤣🤣
  20. This type of post never derails a thread. Solid words, kudos to you for your fight and for a great message. Post of the year!
  21. Great post. Was remembering the Banjo Bowl and the fight they started after the details of the spit/Lemon ejection came out. Harris was lucky not to get tossed for the helmet rip, clearly they baited Lemon and got away with it. Would not be surprised to see them try it again.
  22. Noeller, I was not aware of your battle. Thank you for sharing, and I hope you are managing it all OK. Keep strong, and if you ever need anything or need an ear to listen, do not hesitate to ask. I think some anxiety here is completely normal, and healthy. We have all been scarred by past failures and disappointments, and as much as Rider bashing is a sport here, they have talent that can rise up and should be respected, if not feared. But I like the calm mentality that has pervaded this Bomber team. 1-0 is the goal each week, so I feel better that the 2001 overconfidence will not be as much of an issue. Quiet confidence, that is the mantra. Both Sask and Calgary played a “who wants to lose it more?” game Sunday, I would be stunned if the Bombers did not turn 4 turnovers into more than the 10 points Calgary could muster. Also think the LaPo “protect the ball” mantra will play to form with Collaros and Buck. Feeling good, confident, but not cocky.
  23. I know. I could only afford to buy three at that price……🤣🤣🤣
  24. That price is child’s play compared to this: https://www.thebomberstore.com/limited-edition-commemorative-grey-cup-opener.html
