Everett seems to be quick enough, strong enough and aggressive enough to take a shot at rush end down the road.

What is the deal with the Grey Cup ticket pricing

If the Bombers are in, I'm in even if it means selling a spare organ. Well, maybe not mine. -
Khari is bright, personable and has been a quarterback in three places, so he ought to know what makes a good offense tick. If we are going to replace Bellefeuille, Khari Jones would be definitely worth a look.

The best fit for Glenn might be as a backup in Toronto or Hamilton. Both are close to Glenn's businesses and home. -

Priorities list for the Bombers: 1. resolve the coaching 2. recruit big, mean O-linemen, both import and non-import 3. recruit a homicidal middle linebacker 4. sign a carnivorous defensive end 5. continue to improve the Canadian depth 6. insist that O'Shea get a sodium thiopenthal shot before every post-game presser -

Ugh. So disgusting. That said, even though I brought up Ferguson, to start going into the nuances of that case will really get us off track... EDIT: And the other thing to remember too -- people in Ferguson aren't rioting because Brown was murdered and a white cop got off. They are rioting/rioted because it is YET ANOTHER time something like this happened in that area. These incidents don't happen in a vacuum. It's a Doug Berry-esque powder keg that's been built for a long time. Nah. I dont believe the majority of rioters are rioting for any reason other than their own desire to cause mayhem and for others perhaps being caught up in it. This isnt social disobedience to effect change. Its lawlessness for lawlessness sake. The father of Brown demanding the crowd burn the place to the ground wasnt a call for justice. It was a call for violence. The same reactions you are hearing now are the same things that were said when American blacks began to agitate for equal rights in the 60's, and when union organizers tried to sign up members in the 40's and 50's. Anuyone who spoke up was dubbed as a radical foreign-influenced troublemaker who wanted a union or equal rights. The same kind of crapola has been said about women asking for equality. All of these have been called criminals, insane, perverts, radicals wishing to destroy a perfect society. Yes, Mike Brown's father called for destruction, but how many fathers would stand by when their sons or daughters were killed without provocation? As one officer from ST. Louis said in the aftermath, " this gun is not to protect you, it is to protect me from you". Two days ago, a 19 year old black university student in the US was stopped by the police because he had his hands in his pockets "suspiciously" and was "frightening people". You can see the video of that confrontation on the net.- the temperature was below freezing. -
Jim Popp likely has as many smarts now as he has had for the past decade or so, so don't count the Als out just yet.

There's a lot more to the Ferguson story. The officer involved, along with 8 others, was hired from another police force in a city some 70 miles away which was disbanded due to persistant racially-biased attacks on black citizens which resulted in hundreds of thousands of dollars in civil suit settlements and the state government stepping in. The intial arrest of the Michael Brown was part of a "stop and frisk" illegal campaign wherein blacks and brown citizens are stopped on the street (arrested) for no reason and searched. The officer did not have any probable cause to stop Brown who was walking home with friends. Yes, Brown may have shoplifted a couple of cigars prior to the incident, but Officer Wilson knew nothing of that. Ferguson is 87% black but has a total of two blacks on the police force, and the two black officers have stated publicly that they experienced at-work harassment and discrimination. In his statements to the Grand jury and his interview on TV (for which he was paid over $100,000) 6'3" 220lb Wilson referred to Brown as an "it" and said he (Wilson) felt like a child being attacked by Brown. Right. Wilson also said he had his gun out before he called Brown over to the car. Does any of that sound like a benign attitude? -

Apart from Grigsby's diaper? -
Sorry, for some reason I thought you were a woman. No problem. No matter which plumbing i was born with, I am still me and this is far from an insult. He's more machine now, then woman....twisted and evil. Damn.....he's onto me. Now I have to kill him.

Wouldn't your granny object to appearing that way?

Bombers benched Grigsby for partying late

I liked Joe Smith but he was an individualist even though he always seemed to produce on the field, and that didn't sit well with the coaches if I recall. -
20-20 hindsight is always perfect, isn't it. Had he been with the Bombers this season and played like that, it probably would would have given us another couple of wins. Maybe even got us into the playoffs.

I think Bellefeuille gets a mulligan due to the horrible O-line he inherited and was the worst in the league for most of the year. That really falls on Walters and so I am willing to give Bellefeuille another go at it even though I am not completely sold on him. Etcheverry is another matter altogether and has earned a road map and apple. I still think (and hope) that O'Shea is the right person for head coach but he has to prove that this year. -

Good, humorous point. Those of us who fit into the category of middle-class white folks have been in a privileged position for a long time and the problem with being in power is that darned few willingly give it up. Those of us who are AWOGS (angry white old guys) tend to see change of any sort as a threat. This is probably an unconscious reaction to the fading control and power in our own existences as we age. Its always easier to rail at someone else's rise than mourn our own fading. -
Well, perhaps he was tuning in to my feminine energy.

Hey! I was pretty close. -
Calgary had 2 receivers running side by side- curious.
-
I thought Madu was running well, so why use Grigsby?
-
Dumb penalty by Calgary on Sinkfield. That might cost them a TD.
-
Ooooh- now that kinda tips the scales a bit.
-
Calgary does not have this game in the bag just yet. If Hamilton can get a quick TD, it might shake the Stamps' confidence and open that door.
