The Bomber O-line looked better against BC but the Lions do not have a premier D-line, but even the best O-lines will have the occasional group brain cramp. Hard on the quarterbacks and running backs, but it happens. Ottawa has a darned good D-line, so that should be a good test Friday night.

If the board is going to interview Taman for GM, they ought to make sure he can work a calculator as part of the process. -
Even if there were no concussion protocols like in the 70's, playing with a stiff neck wouldn't be smart. The stiff neck could also be the result of swallowing a Viagra pill too slowly.

Hate this - his career could be over. He's IMO the greatest Canadian RB ever and deserved a better end to his career. He may be forced to retire if he does indeed have a concussion - he'll be hit again (and again) when he comes back even if he's not carrying the mail and I don't think his body (or his head) can take it anymore. Sure first ballot HOFer Sad to see Corndog nearing the end of his career. Head to head with Harris, he was still the better running back although Harris might be a better receiver out of the backfield. Still, I would not wish for Cornish to have the headaches, dizzy spells and mood swings associated with the long term effect of concussion- Dunigan has been pretty graphic about what living with that is like.

You don't think Nichols for a 7th rounder would qualify? Yes, yes, but what did he do for us yesterday? -

Big enough that when he goes to the beach, Greenpeace tries to throw him into the water. -
Sask and BC will probably be looking for experience behind center in the off-season, so Ray won't be unemployed too long. Harris looks more than good enough to start next year.

Walter would be a nice addition to the Bombers if he comes loose, good backup RB and good on ST. They can send the invisible Cronk on his way any time now. If he is invisible, how would you know if he is gone?

Goossen looked no worse than Picard every time he has gone in all season. Shoulda happened in July.

Popp's thinking is that Glenn will give the Al's a year to groom Cato who looks like the heir-apparent . A smart if obvious move.

I would bet that Mr. Messam felt out of place in a small city like Regina, and would have been gone at the end of the year anyways. The Rider faithful were likely chafing that McCallum had to be brought back to a team that dumped him so unceremoniously. -
The Stamps have a rider on a horse who gallops up & down the sideline after a Calgary touchdown. The redblacks have a guy dressed as a lumberjack cut through a log with a chainsaw. Lame. Lame. Lame. Ummm people, we have a guy riding a lawn tractor with wings... Lawn tractors don't go that fast. It's a golf cart. Obviously you haven't been following lawn tractor racing. They can hit 100 kph or more.

I'm just disappointed that Walters didn't make the trade which would have turned the Bomber season around. -
And it only took several months for the coaches to realize what most here knew long ago. The "injury" seems very convenient.

That's a reference to a certain member of the Possum Lodge. -
Glenn may be a good fit for the Alouettes- he will have a decent O-line, good receivers and consistent if not great coaching. Glenn has been the target of some unfair criticism's and if not for a broken arm, he would have had a Grey Cup ring. He has kept his bitching to a minimum even when shuttled around through no fault of his own. He has the charisma of a shovel but he is fundamentally sound.

Fixed that for you. Mustn't be sexist, you know. -
Anyone is vulnerable to be traded if the deal is good enough, but Hajrullahu has all kinds of potential, and he's young, but his stock has fallen dramatically over the season, so we probably wouldn't get a good NI starter back for him anyways. Who else besides Sask and Ottawa needs a kicker?

I believe it should be 10 days (to clear waiver) after his release so it would be next Sunday. Probably will be too late for us this year, but he would be at least as welcome as Westerman.
