  1. My first reaction would not have been allowed in this forum. We can learn to live without Bond, but I do not believe we can live with Hall. If Dougie is correct (and his batting average is pretty good), we have another year of misery to look forward to. Sorry, that should have read "to dread". Fornication.
  2. Wait, what?
  3. Oh boy, and right in the middle of a cold snap in Regina. The insurance policy holder is going to freak.
  4. There are those who maintain that there is always a purpose to drinking gin or Baby Duck, for that matter.
  5. To all and sundry here and otherwhere, in the spirit of the season, my best wishes. May this time of the year and the time to come be filled with peace and the presence of those you love.
  6. Despite the horrible year he had in Montreal, I doubt that any QB would have done much better. I suspect Durant still has tread on his tires and is probably better than anyone we currently have as backup. I wouldn't be surprised to see him in blue and gold- for the right price.
  7. If he's been working with squalling, immature individuals, he ought to have the right experience to step into the Alouette organiation.
  8. But we don't buy green bananas any more or underwear in a three-pack.
  9. Lets not leap to conclusions here.
  10. I have enough confidence in Walters and his scouting system that I am not going to waste any time over it. Still, Wolitarsky had better become a good player, otherwise people could say he "Drew a blank" there.
  11. There are two types of intelligence- static and fluid. Someone with static intelligence can do quite well in unchanging, predictable situations but those with fluid intelligence are adaptable and able to cope with dynamic situations- they usually like it. The hard part is finding people with the fluid intelligence and the physical skills.
  12. A fool and his money etc... he may also need that money to settle lawsuits.
  13. I wouldn't mention it either if I was him.
  14. Jennings suffered from Michael Bishop syndrome- he thought he could force the ball into double-triple coverage, and he paid for that in interceptions.
  15. If a lingerie football league can't make it, what hope is there, really? Its the inevitable decline of western civilization.
  16. And she looks like she's carrying a passenger, too.
  17. Most good deeds go unnoticed and unrewarded. Heck, a few days ago I was in the lineup at Superstore behind an older lady who came up short and unable to pay the $180.00 for her order. So, I stepped up and helped her put all that stuff back.
  18. A bit ?? Methinks thou minimizeth.
  19. But will he be bringing Mr. Peabody with him?
  20. He wouldn't agree to play au naturel. Danger of frostbite in low-lying areas come October.
  21. Trump's reputation as an astute businessman has taken a real beating in the past 2-3 years as his financial affairs have been combed through. There have been some ugly rumours about McMahon circulating for years as well.
  22. I do wonder how well Reinbold would have done if he had been strictly a head coach with a good GM and director of player personnel backing him up and providing him with a good QB and O-line.
  23. Walker has all kinds of potential, but he has to work on not getting caught out of position so much. He did a lot of chasing.
  24. That would be my best guess. I pity the sportswriters who have to interview him.
  25. I have a one-word reply to "helping" the CFL by expanding to the US: verschlimmbessern.
