I share your concern. It is no coincidence that the Bombers' fortunes improved as soon as Nichols was made a starter. We will probably know next week whether Nichols will be taking first-team reps, and if we get a lame excuse as to why he isn't out of caution, that will set off alarm bells.

When considering either Taman or Barker for a talent bird-dog, would it not depend more on who did the actual scouting? No one expected him to look like another Nichols but he ought to look better than he did, otherwise why is he here? Just because we can't find anyone better?
