  1. This was from a 1290 radio quoting Dressler.
  2. For the past two years I have been wondering why JFG has not been used more. Yes, he drops some balls, but his YACs are always impressive.
  3. Maybe we could slip Justin Sorenson something just before the game to cause uncontrollable flatulence? Like a dozen bean burritos?
  4. FWIW, the forecast for Sunday is for a sunny day with a high of -3 and a chance of snow. Weather at this time of year is pretty unpredictable, though, so no definitive forecast until Wednesday.
  5. There are rumours out of Bomberland that Nichols is very iffy for Sunday, but it's hard to tell if this real or head games with the Esks.
  6. From 3Down Nation: A former Calgary Stampeders linebacker suspected of killing his wife complained about the impact football had on his health in a video posted after the killing. Prosecutors say that Anthony D. McClanahan has been arrested but not yet charged in the death of Keri “KC” McClanahan. She was found Thursday in a Park City hotel with knife wounds to her throat. He has also been charged with child kidnapping after authorities say the 46-year-old took his eight-year-old son from an Arizona school on Oct. 3 without the mother’s permission, then travelled through Nevada and Utah. McClanahan played 55 games for the Stampeders between 1995 and 1998, making 227 tackles and registering 18 sacks.
  7. Based on the performances of both teams in the past four games, the Bombers will have a tougher time with the Esks than the Stamps. This could be the year the Bombers get to the Grey Cup and if/when they do, I like their chances.
  8. The tweet of the day: randy turner ✔ @randyturner15 DON'T FORGET: Daylight savings time ends on Sunday. Winnipeggers are advised to turn their clocks back to when Matt Nichols was healthy. 4:06 PM - Nov 3, 2017
  9. This has to be a difficult choice- premier Canadian running backs and dominant Canadian MLBs are both very rare birds.
  10. For me, this is a win-win scenario. If the Esks beat the Riders, great, especially if it is a lop-sided win. Should the Riders win, it ought to make the WSF a complete blast for fans, and the Bombers will have the opportunity to end the Rider season in Winnipeg. That would be very satisfying.
  11. For the Riders and Jones, dignity and integrity are always negotiable.
  12. With a bit of luck, if there is a railroad spur near you, they might park a tanker of Crown Royal there- would save you the tiresome trips to the LC.
  13. I am not expecting a classic shootout, probably a low-scoring affair determined by mistakes.
  14. The weather outlook for the game sounds pretty grim. On the positive side, if the WSF is played in Winnipeg, the conditions here ought to be great by comparison.
  15. Perhaps the scheme employed by Hall will lead to his unemployment.
  16. The CFL has had several highly improbably upsets this year, so who knows?
  17. That could get expensive. Having yourself put in restraints beforehand is much less expensive but you have to be on good terms with whoever you expect to release you later after the red haze is gone and you are coherent again.
  18. Do the teams no longer have scrimmages where the players are allowed to contact each other a notch below game intensity?
  19. It is my understanding that is what full contact practices are all about. If that is the case and the coaches saw Davis getting happy feet or agonizing over his reads, that should have set off alarms.
  20. If it takes more than two years to figure out which player is which, something is wrong.
  21. Well, he might cough up the ball but have a remedy for that.
  22. Bombers will need all the help they can get with LeFevour at the helm. The only real drama will be if LaPolice will adapt to fit Lefevour's alleged skillset.
