  1. Apparently there is a new dessert being served in Calgary homes and restaurants today- Chokecherry pie... and an order of artichokes.
  2. The forgotten Argo in the game was Coombs. Could he be available?
  3. The biggest difference from my point of view is that the Argos were wise enough to hire experienced coach and GM and who had been successful in the past. I would put Nichols against Ricky Ray any day of the week, but this year and last we paid for the learning curve of our coach and GM, and they may still not be up to the grade of Toronto's staff.
  4. Bombers could be forgiven but the Stamps have seen this movie before and had the clearly "better" team. No excuses.
  5. I think this win by Toronto puts the pressure squarely on the shoulders of O'Shea and Walters- they've had long enough to produce a team capable of making it to the Cup final.
  6. "Old age and treachery will beat youth and enthusiasm every time"
  7. Gotta give Mitchell props for playing a great game, but with one mistake.
  8. Collars getting tight on the Stampeder bench....
  9. The game may well be decided by breaks.
  10. Without the snow, I would have given a big edge to the Stamps, but now its even Stephen. Running game ought to play a big part, and I think Ray is a more accurate passer than Mitchell. For the Stamps, if Messam doesn't get it done, they are scrooged.
  11. The joker in this deck is that we do not know how the job descriptions are laid out- specifically if O'Shea makes the final decisions on who goes out onto the field or if that is left to Hall on the defensive side. Knowing this would certainly help us figure out who to hang.
  12. Well, if 0'Shea doesn't last next season, maybe Riley will have the itch by then.
  13. That's like the strategy of going to a party and standing next to the homeliest person in the room so you look good by comparison.
  14. The forecast for the winter is that we will have a lot of ups and downs and that usually means more snow than average. Oil up your snow shovel.
  15. My invisible friend thinks you have mental problems.
  16. On a note of revenge levity, a buddy got dumped by his hot G/F who worked in a pharmacy, so every weekend, he would go into that pharmacy and buy condoms if she was working then.
  17. Ya think? I would bet the farm that there has been some creative financial arrangements made in Regina.
  18. I don't know where Maas had his head when he made that call, but I would bet he could see his spleen from there.
