  1. Agreed, but the larger issue is why O'Shea cannot or will not address what to many is a glaring problem that is hamstringing the team and has for years now.
  2. Not when he was here. If O'Shea suddenly wanted to replace Medlock with a home-grown, I'm sure Felix Menard is available. Ottawa sure did well with their new Canuck kicker.
  3. I think you are in the minority in your assessment of the talent on the team's receivers. They are not the best group of pass-catchers in the league, but they are not the worst by far, and better than last year's group. If Washington replaced Lankford, we would move up a notch or two. Or even if we just got ride of Lankford and platooned the receiver position.
  4. There is a kernel of truth in what was said. Many Bomber fans were ecstatic over the three-game winning streak but there were those who were cautious because the Bombers beat up on the weak sisters of the league. What concerned me was the second game against the Lions where the Bombers stormed out to a lead only to have it evaporated as Wally and Co. adjusted and the Bombers went status quo. It was a replay of many games over Hall's tenure as DC but O'Shea does not escape blame either.
  5. I do not think that you will hear anything of substance on OB tonight or any other coaches' show. It is 90% commercials with a few cliches and generalities sprinkled in.
  6. You neglected to mention the pathetic effort from the defensive part of the team. As much as Nichols was not as good as he ought to have been, if he was on the field longer, that may have altered the outcome, even if the Bombers still lost. And it is not for nothing that the coaches will be blamed.
  7. Curse you for pointing out the obvious and potentially embarrassing our head coach and OC. Logic has NO place here.
  8. And we're not gonna want to see the league team ratings this week.
  9. Welcome aboard. We are still reeling from having out team's collective butts kicked in a game which ought to have been winnable, but the sun will still come up tomorrow. If we have a repeat performance this coming weekend against what is still probably the best team in our league, you may want to stay away from this site for a few days.
  10. Nichols is being paid big bucks to do his best and take what comes with as much grace as possible. Blaming the fans for hurting his feelings when he was not playing well is not going to endear him to the fans.
  11. The stats are averaged over his Bomber career, but does not address his performance over the past say, 10 games. That would be telling.
  12. So,,,you're saying they scored every time, right?
  13. Well, that field goal should pretty much decide the game.
  14. I guess we have to take back all those comments about Collaros being washed up. And the Riders had a practice roster receiver step in and contribute big time- must make Corey Washington wonder
  15. Still feels weird to cheer for the Stamps, though.
  16. The problems that were beginning to become evident in the Bomber wins really blew up in the Ottawa game, and Ottawa was slowly improving. Despite Calgary's performance thus far in this game, the Bombers are going to have their best game of the year to win
  17. Nope. He has shown himself to be remarkably resistant to learning
  18. Not sure if the Bomber loss could be considered an upset- they were showing a lot of cracks even before Friday
  19. Stamps in real big trouble now. If they manage to pull this one out, it would be a small miracle.
