  1. Bombers win and O'Shea gets a stay of execution. Bombers lose, and the noose gets tighter. Bombers get blown out and O'Shea gets to take the long walk down the hallway.
  2. This game may be our last time to hope that the team will get its poop together. If the Bombers lose, we're into next year country.
  3. Expecting candor from O'Shea is like expecting milk from a grape.
  4. Green has little tread on his tires, Bethel-Thompson is a place holder, but Wilder is worth chasing, although he is an import.
  5. Demski looks to be a no-go and and Washington sat out last game.
  6. Kavanaugh was asked point-blank if he would support a full FBI investigation into the allegations against him, including the motivations of his accusers and he would not give a direct answer.
  7. There are a lot of pieces at play here. Trump has fully invested himself in Kavanaugh's appointment and, given Trump's abysmal history of having his appointees spectacularly imploding, his ego cannot take yet another disaster wherein his judgement is proven faulty. Moreover, the GOP is still trying to do damage control over the Russia investigation and failing at that as well. Mueller is edging ever closer to proving that Trump has been laundering money for the Russian mob for nearly 20 years. Plus, if Kavanaugh fails at the appointment with three for certain and possibly a fourth woman alleging sexual misconduct on his part, he tenure are a judge will come under examination and trigger a full FBI investigation, so who knows what that will dredge up?
  8. One of the most interesting things that was quickly skipped over was when the female attorney hired by the GOP to grill Ford touched on a note in Kavanaugh's calendar dated July 1st. That date and the notation appeared to line up with the events reported by Ford and named Judge as present. As soon as Mitchell pointed out that date and was apparently going to ask Kavanaugh about it, the Republican members of the committee called a halt and fired Mitchell. Hm.....
  9. For the winner(s), it is pretty much pure luck.
  10. Obviously, you have not been watching Adarius Bowman the past few games. And to nit-pick, by definition it is impossible to give more than 100%.
  11. Not even close comparing Reilly vs Manziel. Reilly's rapport with his receivers is phenomenal.
  12. If you are interested in exploring the concept of luck vs non-local causality, you may wish to research the work of the late Princeton Physics prof Dr. Robert Jahn. His research produced strong evidence that consciousness mediates implicate matter and events.
  13. And what does that have to do with us slagging Collaros and Bridge? Not that Nichols is the second coming of Doug Flutie, but he is still better than Collaros, as poorly as Nichols has been this year. The Riders are in playoff contention in spite of their quarterbacking, not because of it.
  14. I'm sure that Jones is fantasizing about next February when he can re-sign Durant. Right. Durant must be desperate to publicly kiss up to Jones in a faint hope of being invited back. On the other hand, if he was still there, he would be far and away the best quarterback there.
  15. You are what your record says you are, and the Bombers record says they are the worst team in the west and the third-worst in the league.
  16. Bombers have to actually win a playoff game this year or else. I am not sure if even that is justification for retaining this sad lot of coaches.
  17. Despite the win against the hapless Larks, I cannot see the Bombers winning more than one, at most two, of the remaining games even if Harris and Demski are back in the lineup. After nearly 50 years of watching, wishing and hoping, I've seen enough to be realistically pessimistic about this year's edition. Our NI talent is very good and the whole team is better than it has shown, but the whole is less than the sum of its parts and its not all Nichols.
  18. Agreed. Considering the pool of football players being churned out in the US with a population of 330,000,000 logic says that it ought to be much easier to find import players than fish in the Canadian draft pool.
  19. Bombers lost because they played like crap and have done so except for a couple of games. Riders have won because they have had games handed to them, save perhaps for the Calgary game. Good teams win consistently, bad teams find ways to lose. Apart from the likelihood of the Bombers missing the playoffs yet again, it really irks me that we are probably going to see the Riders do well enough that we will have to see Jones again next year.
  20. Agreed. Every player is going to have an off-play or off-day but Medlock has proven himself to be the best leg man in the league for years now. My only concern about him is that we need to start grooming a replacement.
