  1. Not even if all expenses are paid?
  2. you like the way he cuts metal plates?
  3. Or, in this case, their own Elk,
  4. Taman was hamstrung by a thin budget and a short leash from his GM. In that he was much like John Ferguson when he was Jet's GM who publicly stated he could have picked up the players needed to take a run at the Cup, but could not due to budget restraints from the provincial government that said the Jets had to be in the bottom third of NHL salaries.
  5. Why the heck not Tui at center? He was highly touted as such when in college- that has been a sore spot with me for several years because whatever Kolankowski is getting paid, he ain't worth it and he affects the whole interior of the line.
  6. Time to remind people that Taman did a reasonably good job when Bomber GM, considering what he had to work with and a GM who really didn't like him.
  7. I wonder if Tre Ford was signed by the Blue, would that be an enticement for his brother to stay?
  8. We have no way to determine how Streveler is or isn't. I would hope that if he is hors de combat, he would be let down gently.
  9. FINALLY! A glimmer of hope for change. I would be open to keeping Walters but would like to know his rationale for letting O;Shea do this to the Bombers and what he sees as needing change.
  10. Its all that barnyard sex they want to watch.
  11. Eeew. Maybe MBT but that's it. God knows, he will be waaay better than anyone they have. Wonder how much salary the Lions ate?
  12. This made me physically ill.
  13. As an example of what is possible with LaPolice, Paul Maurice was fired several times, but got smarter with each coaching experience until he got to the Florida Panthers when it all came together.
  14. Alas, a literary classic despoiled.
  15. Given O'Shea's personality, I cannot see him willingly parting with his favoured but inadequate players. If he is ordered to do so, he may well, like Ahab lashed to Moby ****, go down with them, and that would not be a bad thing. If he is ordered to make those cuts and somehow chooses to stay as head coach, I would question how well he would function after that diminishing.
  16. So long as O'Shea has anything to say about it, nothing short of death is going to get the needed players out of here and replaced. Any strength can be a weakness if carried to an extreme.
  17. If O'Shea is still here (a distinct probability) he will choose who fits his....ahem...unique personality.
  18. If O'Shea is still here as head coach next year, we will have a repeat performance. If any business had a manager who had a worse job performance for three consecutive years and made the same staffing mistakes again and again, damned few would get a fourth chance,
  19. Never liked that hype. The Bombers staggered through the playoffs last year and choked in the Cup game. This year, they mostly picked up where they left off with dismal play, so where anyone got the idea they were on the verge of greatness, I do not know.
  20. That might not be all good. In 2019 Streveler threw himself into the line like he had a spare body and, probably because of LaPolice, did not evolve his game despite seeming to have all the requisite tools except game experience. With luck, his time in NFL provided him with some good coaching and we just might get a new and improved Streveler back.
  21. With the threepeat losses, there has to be friction between those who want to win and those who are there only because O'Shea is keeping them around. A house divided cannot stand. Agreed. If nothing changes, then nothing changes.
  22. Collaros should wear the horns yes, but not alone. O'Shea's decisions were at least as responsible and have been a liability for at least two years. Every coach reaches a best-before date and I think O'Shea has passed his.
  23. Wade would rather have consistent 30K crowds than a one-time 50K one, most of whom will never be seen again.
