Anti-Vax Radio Host Who Called Fauci a ‘Power Tripping Lying Freak’ Dies of COVID A anti-vaccine right-wing radio host in West Palm Beach, Florida died Wednesday from COVID-19 complications. **** Farrel, 65, used his local talk show and social media to rail against Dr. Anthony Fauci, who he called a “power tripping lying freak,” and say that no one should get the coronavirus vaccine. When COVID-19 sent him to the hospital for three weeks, though, he changed his tune, urging friends to get vaccinated, friends told local station WPTV. Farrel wrote in early July, “Vaccine Bogus Bull Shid!, Two peeps I know, got vaxed, now have Corona, hospitalized critical. Thank you Moderna, FOR NOTHING!” He erroneously told his followers they would not need the vaccine if they had already survived COVID-19. The CDC has advised former coronavirus patients to get vaccinated. Two days later, he wrote, “Why take a vax promoted by people who lied 2u all along about masks.” He called Fauci “FOOT-chee” and said that the infectious disease expert and “power trip libb loons” Democrats were conspiring to make it seem like the pandemic was ongoing so they could grab more power. In late June, he wrote, “So, u think it wasn’t a SCAM DEMIC? NOT ONE ELECTED DEMOCRAT ever tested positive.” He called masks “face diapers” and “face pantys.” An ardent supporter of former President Donald Trump, Farrel wrote often about baseless conspiracy theories of election fraud. In June, he penned a fearmongering post about liberals wanting to remove the American flag, writing, “Civil war beckons.” Amy Leigh Hair, a close friend of Farrel, wrote on Facebook, “COVID took one of my best friends! RIP **** Farrel. He is the reason I took the shot. He texted me and told me to ‘Get it!’ He told me this virus is no joke and he said, ‘I wish I had gotten it!’” Hair later told WPTV, “I was one of one the people like him who didn’t trust the vaccine. I trusted my immune system. I just became more afraid of getting COVID-19 than I was of any possible side effects of the vaccine. I’m glad I got vaccinated.” The deep-voiced host, whose real name is Farrel Austin Levitt, also anchored for Newsmax after the radio station where he worked, WFLN, sold in 2016, according to friend and station owner George Kalman, who wrote Farrel’s obituary. If memory serves, it takes longer for an offence to gel than a defence, as the defence reacts to the offence, but the offence has to mesh very well to shine.

U.S. Now Averaging 100,000 New COVID-19 Infections Daily, Again The U.S. is now averaging 100,000 new COVID-19 infections a day, returning to a milestone last seen during the winter surge in yet another bleak reminder of how quickly the delta variant has spread through the country. The U.S. was averaging about 11,000 cases a day in late June. Now the number is 107,143. It took the U.S. about nine months to cross the 100,000 average case number in November before peaking at about 250,000 in early January. Cases bottomed out in June but took about six weeks to go back above 100,000, despite a vaccine that has been given to more than 70% of the adult population. The seven-day average for daily new deaths also increased, according to data from Johns Hopkins University. It rose over the past two weeks from about 270 deaths per day to nearly 500 a day as of Friday. The virus is spreading quickly through unvaccinated populations, especially in the South where hospitals have been overrun with patients. Health officials are fearful that cases will continue to soar if more Americans don’t embrace the vaccine. “Our models show that if we don’t (vaccinate people), we could be up to several hundred thousand cases a day, similar to our surge in early January,” Centers for Disease Control and Prevention director Rochelle Walensky said on CNN this week. Seattle PD Fires Two Cops for Participating in Capitol Riot -Reuters The Seattle Police Department has fired two officers for their participation in the Jan. 6 Capitol riot. Department Chief Adrian Diaz said in a statement Friday that Caitlin and Alexander Everett had breached the public’s trust, calling the attempted insurrection “an attack on our profession and on every officer across the country” and the two officers’ participation “a stain on our department.” He wrote, “The two officers were found to have crossed the outdoor barriers established by the Capitol Police and were directly next to the Capitol Building. Clear evidence places them directly next to the Capitol Building. It is beyond absurd to suggest that they did not know they were in an area where they should not be, amidst what was already a violent, criminal riot.” Diaz said five police officers lost their lives as a result of Jan. 6, making the two Seattle officers’ conduct all the more egregious. The chief extended his apologies to the officers who defended the Capitol on behalf of his department.

Alabama has the worst vaccination rate. Cases are exploding. They just threw out 65,000 doses. As the delta variant nears 100% of coronavirus cases nationwide Alabama continues to be the worst state in the country for getting its population vaccinated. Barely more than one in three Alabamians (34.6%) are fully vaccinated, compared to one in two Americans (50.3%). Alabama State Health Officer Dr. Scott Harris announced Friday that one month ago there were less than 200 people in the state hospitalized with COVID-19. Today there are over 1800. "We've had three straight days of double-digit deaths," Dr. Harris announced, the first time in months they've seen a death rate like that. They've also had four straight days of "much higher" coronavirus cases per day, now "ten times higher" than one month ago, more than 3000 per day. The state has 1.5 million doses currently available, but more than 65,000 doses just expired, Dr. Harris told reporters, calling it a "shame" they had to be thrown out because there are people around the world desperate for vaccines. When you consider the state of the team when those players arrived, they were absolute Godsends. They did not produce a Cup win, but they brought sorely needed credibility, and if it had been for Nichols, we would not have been in position for Collaros to take us to the cup game.
-
I thought it might have been because of Mennonites being in the crowd, Mennonites are forbidden from having sex standing up because it might lead to dancing.
-
Disagree to an extent. We cannot discount the trades that brought us Khari Jones, Big Dougie and yes, even Matt Nichols.

I assume that would not apply to Rider fans, and they are VERY strange. -
Why? Were Mennonites present?

But it was still Bomber-CFL game!!!!!!!!!

Rep. Lauren Boebert lost a family member to COVID — but she's still a vaccine foe Rep. Lauren Boebert, the Colorado right-wing firebrand, has continued to oppose both mask mandates and vaccine precautions aimed at stopping the spread of the coronavirus, even as the pandemic heads into a third deadly wave, fueled by low vaccination rates and the fast-spreading delta variant. This is especially striking since a member of Boebert's extended family, her step-grandfather Bob Bentz, died of COVID last December. As Salon has previously reported, Boebert never knew her biological father. Her mother, Shawn (or Shawna) Roberts Bentz, became partners with Steve Bentz (Bob Bentz's son) sometime before 1994, when their first son was born. Lauren was 7 years old at that time. Shawn Roberts and Steve Bentz were married in 1996 and had three more sons, born around 1996, 1999 and 2003, according to a bankruptcy filing reviewed by Salon. Rep. Sad to say, this is the "new" America- looks a lot like the old America but with added slime.

The team picked up where they left off in 2019, and can only get better. The highlights for me: Collaros taking hits and still not being afraid to sprint out; Oliviera pounding the ball just like you-know-who and not being tentative despite his severe injury in 2019; the swarming Bomber defence; Demski stepping up; and lastly: to those TiCat fans who said that the Grey Cup outcome would have been different if Masoli had been able to play- that excuse is completely gone now. The only real questions for the team are what to do when Harris is available and whether McGuire is as good as hoped. GREAT to see the CFL again and even better to see the Bombers not only win, but kick butt.

Patience, Lady Grasshopper, patience.

Roqulemore?

YESSSS!!!!! There's the game. and now a TD to finish it off!
-
Same result, though. Predictable. referring to third down plunge.
-
Good psych call by O'Shea.
-
The scuff marks you see on the field are from TiCat butts dragging.
-
He'll find someone new.
-
That's a sacrifice I'm willing to make.
-
Probably should wait untilt he game is over, but it is clear that we do not have to worry about our running game, or the defence. On the other hand Bailey ought to worry.

Wolitarski the forgotten man again.

Gotta cash this one in!
