He does not have an easy job. The league has teams staggering from one financial crisis to another, only one national TV network bidding for the broadcast rights trying to appease all the owners must be like herding cats.

Walters and O'Shea could set up a honey trap and take lotsa pictures.

Labour Day Week non Back-to-Back Champs gamesTracker replied to Geebrr's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion The odd thing is that Steinauer was a darned good d-back- played with intelligence and grit, but despite looking like a good coach last year, his team is the absolute pits this year. I expected better from him, but the lack of a decent QB has hobbled the TiCats all season.

That's the only kind Marino specializes in.

Apparently there were a lot more injured (some of them seriously) but these went directly to hospitals and have not spoken to police.

Ukraine poised to 'bag a bunch' of Vladimir Putin's 'stupid, drunk and brutal' soldiers: military expert Appearing on MSNBC on Labor Day afternoon, retired Gen. Barry McCaffrey said that Russian President Vladimir Putin is "in a box" and on the verge of suffering a humiliating defeat in Ukraine due to the unsuitability of the military forces he has been sending to prop up his invasion of the neighboring country. As fall and winter loom, the retired general said that the Russian army has been depleted and the Russian strongman has been deploying new troops that McCaffrey dismissed as "stupid, drunk and brutal" with little tactical plans on how to use them Speaking with MSNBC host José Díaz-Balart on Monday, the military expert says Putin has particular problems in the Kherson region of Ukraine. "General, I am just wondering, from the 24th of February when Russians began their invasion of Ukraine, there was a lot of legend and belief in the strength of the Russian armed forces, and the effectiveness of its hierarchy," the MSNBC host prompted. "General, what have we learned about the Russian strength of armed forces?" "This is pretty surprising. tactically," McCaffrey replied. "They have been stupid, drunk, brutal, out-of- control, low morale, bad leadership, bad operational directive and right now in the Kherson area, a better part of 15,000 Russians are stuck north and west of the Dnieper River, and Ukrainians are going to try and take them apart, deliberately, piece by piece." "They have conducted over 400 artillery strikes over 40 air sorties, that have blown up a lot of ammunition and hit a lot of their command and control. They're doing partisan and special operation attacks deep in the Russian zone," he elaborated. "It is astonishing to me." "Now, Putin has gotten himself in a box he cannot get out of," he continued. "They are scrambling to make up Russian manpower, he is afraid to conscript Russian city boys and send them off to fight in Ukraine, so he is emptying prisons, he is using contract mercenaries, and it is not going well for him."

Israeli Army's Investigation Finds 'High Possibility' Soldier Killed Al Jazeera Reporter JERUSALEM (AP) — The Israeli army said Monday there was a “high possibility” that a soldier killed a well-known Al Jazeera journalist in May, as it announced the results of its investigation into the killing. But it said the shooting was accidental and no one would be punished. Shireen Abu Akleh was killed in May while covering Israeli military raids in the occupied West Bank. The Palestinians blamed Israel for the killing. Israel initially said she may have been killed by militant fire, but later said a soldier may have hit her by mistake during an exchange of fire. Abu Akleh, a Palestinian-American journalist, had covered the West Bank for the satellite channel for two decades and was known across the Arab world. In a briefing to reporters, a senior military official said the military could not conclusively determine where the fire emanated from, saying there may have been Palestinian gunmen in the same area as the Israeli soldier. But he said the soldier shot the journalist “with very high likelihood” and did so by mistake. The official did not explain why witness accounts and videos showed limited militant activity in the area, as well as no gunfire in the vicinity until the barrage that struck Abu Akleh and wounded another reporter. “He misidentified her,” the official said, speaking on condition of anonymity under military briefing guidelines. “His reports in real time...absolutely point to a misidentification.” The results of the probe, announced nearly four months after the killing, largely align with those of several independent investigations completed much earlier.

Back 2 Back Champs @ Saskatchewan: The LDC GDTTracker replied to Noeller's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion There were several pivotal plays in the game and the Duke stupidity was only one of them. Richie Hall made enough adjustments at the half to stymie the Rider offence, but the biggest problem for the Bombers was the anemic offence and slow start.

As outraged as we are over Marino's brain-dead antics, from the amount and content of the bile spewed on the Rider website, he has few defenders left in Saskatchewan. He is gonna cost Dickenson and maybe even O'Day their jobs. And they will have no one to blame but themselves.

Fajardo's knee shouldn't feel special- he whines about pretty much everything.

Back 2 Back Champs @ Saskatchewan: The LDC GDTTracker replied to Noeller's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion Just had a boo at the Rider fan website. While most there (the sane ones) are disgusted and angry at their team and coaches, the defenders of Marino, Williams, Maas and Dickenson are reaching new heights of denial and wails of being victimized the the refs, dirty Bomber players and the universe in general, Hilarious. Can't wait to read the website after next Sunday.

Back 2 Back Champs @ Saskatchewan: The LDC GDTTracker replied to Noeller's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion Like the game or not, this confirmed the Bomber status as the elite team in the league plus it was absolutely laden with drama and a game that will be talked about for a looong time to come,

I wouldn't be concerned. Marino will be a non-factor, one way or another. I have no doubt that O'Day will be getting a call from the league, if he hasn't already. If this doesn't happen, I would think that O'Shea will stand real close to Dickenson before the start of the Banjo Bowl and say something to him very softly about the health of Fajardo.

Back 2 Back Champs @ Saskatchewan: The LDC GDTTracker replied to Noeller's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion We should be grateful that Collaros was not injured and somehow watching the Riders cover themselves in excrement en route to a loss at home is almost enough revenge. Almost.

Back 2 Back Champs @ Saskatchewan: The LDC GDTTracker replied to Noeller's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion This edition of the Riders is an insult to every loyal Rider fan and all the great players to wear the jerseys over the years. Back 2 Back Champs @ Saskatchewan: The LDC GDTTracker replied to Noeller's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion It would be only justice if and when they cross over, they lose and lose badly to an Eastern team in the first game.

Back 2 Back Champs @ Saskatchewan: The LDC GDTTracker replied to Noeller's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion Not only did we silence our most hated (and rightfully so) rival, in their own stadium, in front of the biggest crowd of the year, while missing some key players, and the Riders sabotaged their own team through stupid actions and decisions. They have relegated themselves to no better than fourth place in the west.
