  1. That was knock on him in Regina- that too often his freelancing was a detriment rather than an asset. Maybe when the rest of the D-line is rolling, it adds a bit of chaos that benefits the pass rush, but we certainly do not have that now. The hold was so blatant that it should not have needed to be embelished.
  2. Particularly when the missed field goal was returned for a TD- that was the worst blown holding call I have seen in the CFL for many a year. It set the tone for the rest of the game. It should not have, but it did.
  3. Agree on Collaros- no QB likes getting hit and his previous concussions nearly eanded his career and potentially limited his life, so he may be a bit gunshy now. His protection is not as good as it was, and that falls onto the coaches' decisons about who to put on the O-line. You have a possible valid point on Harris vs Oliveira. Harris at his best was a force but Oliveira has been very good and may not have hit his ceiling. It seem to me that Harris was a better receiver, but any running back is only as good as his O-line and that has to get fixed- STAT!
  4. Lawlor and Holm earned their keep and they were the few. I can understand one or two players having an off night, but this.....
  5. Contrast that to the punishing hits Shoen took.
  6. Kolankowski is not an all-star, just a journeyman centre but when the rest of the O-line is playing well as a unit, he is adequate. The problems are in the centre of the D-line and right side of the defensive backfield. Linebacking is a concern- Bighill is getting older and slower and Kramdi has the physical abilities to play the spot but not the experience and maybe not the instincts. Richie Hall's philosophy seems to be to let the opposition show their hand and then adapt, but that does not seem to lend itself to playing from behind. O'Shea needs to be questioned about some of his personnel decisions or we will stumble through the rest of the season and have a one-game post-season.
  7. Truth is that Bombers were beaten in all three phases of the game plus out-coached again. They were ready for Oliveira and hammered Shoen every chance they got. I recall at least two instances where the TiCat receivers bobbled the ball and could have been knocked into next week by the two defenders who had closed in on them. Instead, they were hugged. Bombers did not deserve to win and its the usual suspects every damned time.
  8. It all hangs on getting a two and out. NOW!
  9. A two-touchdown rally is not impossible, but....
  10. I take it you have not been watching the efforts by the /bombers this game. Or the dreadful refereeing calls,
  11. Jake Thomas nearly needed a condom on that hold.
  12. Can't believe that Bombers cannot find a decent replacement.
  13. We already have a returner in the worst way.
  14. Theoretically, the Bombers are still it. Realisitcaly...not.
  15. But now they got the ball. Live by the bomb, die by the bomb.
  16. Nothing less than a protracted drive ending in a TD will save the day.
  17. Don't know what is going on, but my Bell TV feed seems to be several seconds behind the game.
