Other teams do it to the Bombers all the time, though it’s certainly magnified when it’s a qb getting hit. At Montreal Woli makes the td reception, gets shoved hard from behind and skitters across the stupid track and into AV equipment boxes. Sask, Ott and Edm all have defenders that love hammering guys after a TD. Should be called more since the rule is a TD and play is done once the ball in possession breaks the plane of the goal line.

Well this game is turning to sh!t. Bombers need to sharpen the hell up and get the lead out.

As others have said, defence not taking advantage of the wind. Love Nighthawk but he’s not a punt returner and the team nearly paid the price. If the offence can get out of 2nd gear it won’t be pretty for Calgary.

Like JBR said, looked like Dru ran the full offence last game. It wasn’t like Buck suddenly dialled up a bunch of hand-offs and 5 yard curls. Will say that the screen play on Brady’s td was a thing of beauty, with textbook setup and execution. Nice to see that the Bombers have that in the arsenal… absolutely hate watching our defence get eaten up on screens so it’s great to finally see the O dish them back out.

The reffing in Edmonton was one of -the- all time worst officiating performances I’ve ever witnessed. Thinking back, I could almost believe this crew took issue with Bighill and Lawler’s criticisms last week. Sure looked like they were out to prove a point at the Bombers’ expense… usually incompetence of that magnitude goes both ways in a game.

Dru Brown was a stone cold operator out there. Even on the big scoring plays the guy was so composed. Bet the last thing he expected was to be the prime interview as the winning qb.
