The second half has devolved into what I usually assume preseason games are like. Raw rookie qb’s dazed and confused and all the vets sitting, leaving the depth and lower tier rookies looking kinda lost. -
Team speed on defence seems way up. I know it’s only preseason but we got some fast looking newcomers showing the goods today.

Chad Kelly took John Hodge for a ride and made him look like a gullible idiot. Elsewhere on 3dn Dinwiddie told Dunk he heard about the concussion from his wife, who only saw on their site, and “who is as bad for reading 3dn as he is”. Hahhahahahaha what a backhand to them. Chad Kelly himself on cfl.ca “I’ve moved on from that game, I’ve even worked out twice”. Wow some serious powers of recovery who had an out of body concussion experience right after stinking out the stadium. Newsflash Chad, that feeling was utter humiliation, not a concussion 🙄

That actually makes it so much worse on the part of the team… don’t report a concussion so they can put that player back on the field? That could have been a Tua Tagovailoa/Miami Dolphins level fiasco. Ridiculous.

Jeff Hecht getting the hook for BA, plus using Taylor and Maston completely transformed the back end… that said we still needed a qb with Nichols out and Strev on one leg. McGuire wasn’t taking us to the promised land by himself so Zach was also a vital ingredient to the cup run. It can be both.

That 2016 winning streak with Nichols as QB1 was awesome. Guy could run, lots of zip on the ball and played with an urgency that the offense bought into.

Brady deserves the MOP award, not even close and his closest competition is Collaros who wasn’t eligible because of award rules. If Kelly gets it, it will be insulting and a joke… but the silver lining is we know how our guys play with a chip on the shoulder.

Softest schedule, pathetic divisional competition and absolute minimal games vs the other top tier teams. Huge reach is being polite.

Offence came back to life with Dru Brown on the field. If he played the 2nd quarter it would be real ugly for Calgary.

Actually meant to quote sf27 who we definitely know is of advanced years. For a guy who screams keep politics out of he he’s the first to point token gender hire on Beirness. Is he right? Probably but be consistent if you don’t want others bringing politics into football threads Anyway I’m good and going back to football. Wishing everyone an enjoyable rest of the evening.
