  1. People are on the QB because he isn't good enough and is being paid 400k a year to be bad. But I think you probably know that already, don't you? Your point about other facets of the offense not being good either aren't wrong. But those positions are easily replaced and make a fraction of the salary. You know, common sense stuff.
  2. I mean, it doesn't take a CFL insider to figure this out. 1-5 going into his 3rd year stinks. Period. But I think the real test will be Hamilton. I don't think anyone gives us a huge chance against the Eskimos in Edmonton, that place is a real grindhouse for us. You lose to Hamilton too, though, and 1-6 means you should lose your job.
  3. so why are you here? or even replying to this thread?
  4. I'm sure someone will come in and foolishly attempt to blame the offensive line on that, and, not Willy's mediocre play. It's not that I think the line is doing good, or even ok. It seems that there's an almost cult like desire to see Willy be something he's not.
  5. i think the worst thing they can do is to re-sign them both to long extensions
  6. Does anyone get inspired with confidence, at all, listening to MOS speak? He sounds like a high school football coach who's been asked to come in and coach the Dallas Cowboys, and at half time its 40-0 against and he can't possibly understand why.
  7. ya man. a typo. relax. jesus. distracted with family over.
  8. somewhat unreal how lethargic this offense continues to be. get a touchdown here tho and you're only in a 10 point ball game going into the half
  9. I don't have a "schtick" and I'm certainly not trolling. It's a legitimate question. But it's not unsurprising that some folks are more interested in slinging mud than having a rational discussion over O'Shea. O'Shea has such a terrible resume that, really, the only defence of him at this point is to plug ones ears and shout down anyone with an opposing view. "MOS's record is x number of games below .500" response: TROLL!! "MOS only had 3 seasons coaching experience prior to being hired, and that was as an ST coordinator" response: ugh, running people out of town i see!! "will another embarrassing home blow out put the coaches job in jeopardy?" response: oh isnt this just SO typical you!! Obviously paraphrasing. It seems that our fan base has become sharply divided into 2 camps, and people can't seem to meet in the middle to have a rational chat about it. I understand that comes off as hypocritical because during game days I can fly off the handle in chat (I own that and it's my bad) but on these threads I try and be as subjective as I can, especially lately with emotions running high.
  10. This thread has morphed into something I didn't quite want, another fire MOS thread. Was a simple question. But I am genuinely surprised to see people taking the position you can't or shouldn't fire MOS no matter what before the season ends. 1-6 should invite the conversation about his firing. 1-8 should, in a reasonable world, mean he gets fired. I can't see a justification for him being kept around in a 2 or 3 and 10 start either. Obviously we aren't there yet and thats all premature but if you make a blanket statement like "MOS isn't getting fired this year" or "shouldn't" then your kind of exposing yourself to that hypothetical.
  11. Simple question. Would make us 1-4, and, the fact that it would be a home game would add some fuel to a fire. This isn't meant to be a debate on SHOULD he be fired, simply the question would it get him fired. To give some context to the question, let's say the score was... 44-10 Calgary. Just as a random score.
  12. I'm not sold on Chris Jones as management. Is he a good coach? Ya. Can he build a team? Who knows. Totally different skillsets.
  13. i just laughed so hard out loud in public. sweet, bitter laughter.
  14. I get the idea behind posting it, but, the music and the nature of the video itself still fits the bill. A qb that can't win games made to look like Joe Montana.
  15. Have to say that I find this video to be unintentionally hilarious. A highlight package of one of the most unsuccessful starters in the league since 2014
  16. Ya. When your one of the two worst teams in the league every game is tough.
  17. It was a tough schedule to start, for sure, but, we did catch a break already with hamilton and massoli and picked up the win. but, we also lost to montreal in a winnable game vs a pretty bad team (whos only win so far is from us). We had a winnable game against Edmonton too but couldn't score enough in the 2nd half. I don't think, if this team goes 1-6, that the city will care about scheduling. 1-6 means MOS is probably fired. And rightfully so. That's really the bottom line here. They have 3 changes to save MOS' job. I think our best chance is against Calgary at home but our record vs them is dismal. I'd legitimately wager my house we lose in Edmonton. The question is will it be a blow out or not. After that, if we are winless, MOS -MAY- get a 3rd shot to save job against Hamilton. That's a very winnable game with our D. MOS has lots of chances to save his job, and it likely starts with Nichols getting in behind centre.
  18. Another good read is the thread about Burris being nearly signed to Winnipeg, and the thread I started a while back in 2013 about who the Bombers should go after. I listed Tate, Burris, Collaros, and Ray. Didn't even mention Willy until later when I said "could have included Willy". Lots of interesting comments about how people would prefer Willy over Burris. He certainly came with a lot of hype ... maybe generated by the unwashed masses in SSk.
  19. What shouldn't be lost in that is Willy is making 400k. That's a lot of salary in the CFL to tie up in one the worst starter. We could have had Nichols starting behind a O line you just throw money at. But nope, Walters and MOS had to be the smartest guys in the room and really push this Willy fellow on us all to prove everyone wrong.
  20. The guy were paying 400,000 is so bad that even his defenders are suggesting when he gets shell shocked to take him out for a few series. Unreal. This is the definition of an abusive relationship when the abused (the fans) are stooping to such lows to try and defend the abuser (the team). If one of the highest paid qb's in the league can't be effective you move on. If he's so bad that he has a glossy look of panic in his eyes at points in the game you cut him and fire the guy who paid him so much money. Have our standards been lowered so far that this is a reasonable expectation now?
  21. He's the worst starting goaltender in the NHL by a country mile, and, it really says a lot about your opinion you think he's ok lol
  22. This really sounds like the nonsensical train of thought people would use when attempting to defend pavelec.
  23. When your out of arguments it's easy to attack other posters as we're seeing above. Willy has demonstrated so clearly he doesn't have what it takes. But keep harping on stuff people may have said years ago. Lol.
