Bumping this topic because he's our warrior behind centre. Dude played with a broken finger, lower body injury, and still played great. Dude named his little girl (middle name) Winnie for Winnipeg. This guy is the starting QB we've needed desperately for years and it looks like he's not going anywhere anytime soon. Matt deserves a half way decent defense and he deserves some more depth at the WR position. But regardless I wanted to once again give thsi dude mad props. What a year, what a leader. Thank you for saving us from Drew Willy and god knows what we'd be like without him.

We beat the Riders for the season series, and they're moving on because they crossed over in the crappy east. I can live with that. The season was mostly a success even though the team heavily lost momentum as the year closed out. 12 wins is something I can get used to. Playoffs were against disappointing and marred by our HC making another stupid decision at a critical moment. I guess we'll see.

In the light of day my rage has subsided a bit. We have our QB and that's important. But I really do worry about next year and what this management will accomplish. The red flags were all over the place for the D since game 3 or 4, and it appears that no meaningful remedy was attempted. This regime appears to be stubborn as evidenced by their insistence to play Drew Willy until their very jobs were on the line. MOS also seems to make stupid decisions in game a lot, and may have cost us 2 playoff games with terrible decisions. If Hall departs and significant upgrades are made on the D I'll be hopeful for the new year.

How anyone could possibly disagree this was the turning point is beyond me. Did our disaster of a defence play a role? Yes Did our offences lack of scoring play a role? Yes But the turning point, make no mistake, was that stunningly stupid fake

You can't fix dumb. And Michael O'Shea is the dumbest coach in the CFL. I'm not saying that he is dumb; but of all the coaches he is the dumbest. This is this year's version of the 68-yard field goal, or whatever the hell it was

Why are you defending hall then? This regime also has zero playoff wins. But hey, if youre happy just to have a team and winning is meaningless, cool. I respect that in a weird way.

Nichols is our only hope Sunday. Fever and Davis just don't have what it takes.. and then you're asking the D to score for you. Tough recipe.

The way this team turned around with Nichols and the O line last July says it all to me. Before that we were one of the worst O's in the league. Keep in mind were first in points scored. Im willing to bet were middle pack for yards and yards per play. Will check that later.

The players are scoring in spite of his awful play calling and schemes. I don't see how that's such a hard concept to understand. Disagree, sure, go ahead. But to pretend like I just posted the calculations for cold fusion is dishonest.

Any success our offence has had this year is because of Nichols and our O line. Certainly not Paul ******* Lapolice

How fun will it be losing a home playoff game to the Riders?

It's hard really to properly thank this post, outside thanking it and expanding like I will. You can really tell who's emotionally invested in this team and have been for the last 3 decades when failures like this do exactly what they did; they rip open old wounds. This team has been a failure like none other since 1990, going on nearly 30 years. In an 8 and 9 team league. So I don't bemoan anyone who goes off the deep end after this team lays another steamer on the carpet. The only thing that fixes this is a championship. Everything else including regular season success is noise.

If you aren't ready to make a judgement on this defense after the last 2 seasons of data, I have no idea what would settle your mind. Maybe they should purposefully take a knee every play and let the opposition score at will?

Huff and company delivered Calgary a Grey Cup in 2014 and 2008. What a sham of a post to even dare to bring the Stampeders into contrast with our organization. This current management group has zero playoff wins in a 9 team league. If that streak continues this year we deserve to miss the playoffs next season for having such low expectations.

This defense is beyond trash, and with key injuries on offense I see us getting absolutely pummeled by Edmonton. Zero playoff wins since 2011. In a 9 team league. I honestly can't even fathom it, and while the west semi is in 2 weeks if someone gave me the odds I'd bet my house straight odds we lose.

Let's not forget this is the management group that gave Willy the keys to the organization and only put Nichols in when the team was a dumpster fire and their jobs looked on the line. They wanted nothing to do with Nichols as the starter.
