  1. Hardrick has been killing it since last year..and there was never any doubt with Neuf at guard other than many's perceived idea he was a bandaid..he was just a victim of bad luck and being rushed back to play before 100 percent healthy which augmented his injuries due to us needing him and having zero depth. He always has played with an edge and follows up run plays to help out and move the pile..same with Goose and Chungh two nasty SOB's who take no ****. Our oline does a great job getting under defenses skin with still playing within the rules and it is part of what makes then so successful. Teams are more concerned sometimes with retribution or payback at the expense of making plays...and I love that.
  2. You have to..or else hear incessant whining out of Sask
  3. I still cant understand how we lost to the Cats...shame on us
  4. Imagine his record for us with an above average defense the last 3 years.. dare I say a dominant one
  5. How was that not blocking from behind at goal line by Carter on the pick 6?
  6. yeah pretty much showed that this offence is balanced and has many different ways to beat you...focus your game plan on one aspect...two others step up and become the dagger..so it's a pick your poison type thing with our offence...and this is very encouraging and will eliminate any prolonged offensive dry spells. once tompkins gets more game savy and integrated we may get even better...and just love how the o-line drives everything..mean..nasty and play right from whistle to whistle..downfield punishing guys and helping the weapons all over the field. come cold weather football these guys are going to just be punishing teams left right and center
  7. He must have a killer QB rating..2 for 2..about 30..35 yards and a TD
  8. He is gonna draw coverage help away from Adam's. And looks to be a good possession guy with big play abikity
  9. Nichols got screwed by his defense and coaching in his 2 playoff games here..look at the stats and how each game went..not on him Any semblance of a defense and no coaching brain farts and most likely we are in both west finals and a good chance one of them we prob would have won
  10. Exactly..on the punt where Darvin passed it Strevler is the second option..Harris is the primary target but 2 Argos went with him and covered him so a pass to him would have been most likely incomplete or picked off. Kudos to Adam's for recognizing it and Strev's for doing his part and running his part to a T and being in the spot to make the play. Well coached
  11. Big block on the Demski run too..he does all the things right..always been a kick ass blocker since he arrived here
  12. Thing is tho..good teams generally abuse the weak sisters and save for the 2 quarter melt down against bc we have basically mauled the bad teams..a good sign
  13. Or goes on and on about squaring up shoulders to turn up field..holy crap I sure people got the idea after the 6th or 7th time he yammered on about it
  14. That's generally what happens when you chase the money and don't create any lasting legacy...and try and become a leader...and you get some inflated defensive stats as your crappy defense is always on the field so you rack up the tackles. Also listen to that first podcast with Andrew Harris and his comments on not getting Muamba...he basically said he was glad and that Muamba wouldn't fit in here and didn't want him on the team...more or less...we lucked out big time with him spurning us
  15. sadly nope..haha...u made me laugh there...good one!
  16. was waiting for your retort..and you can't compare different eras...If you look back at average attendances through the decades the Bombers have out drew the riders...they only have been putting more buts into seats "consistently" since the mid 2000's And sorry to rain on your thoughts but yes the Jets and other options in the city do have an impact..as I am sure it does in Vancouver..Edm..Cgy..Mtl and Ott. The riders are the only ticket in town for the province and many are fair weather fans there as well as in a lot of cities..hence the numerous telethons to save them, and the sale of Rider Shares that are not worth anything but the paper printed on. If things turn south there the Rider fan base is notorious for turning back on team and staying away in droves to the point of almost folding several times...truth is in the history and you cant change or dispute it...If that team went as long without winning a Cup or having sustained success like occurred here you would be hard pressed I bet to get 20k to games And the Moose replaced the Jets essentially and I recall were the highest attended team. Fan supprt in Winnipeg is not an issue...but some families have to choose one team over the other..thats just the way things are economically today, and I bet if Winnipeg was as Regina is...no Major League team of any kind, and no minor league hockey and Baseball to support that IGF would be filled to, or close to capacity every game, as that would be all sports fans in city would have
  17. truthfully that organization should be selling out every game every year...no reason not to as it is the only professional thing in the province and really the only thing in the province/city of Regina/Saskatoon that takes any type of entertainment dollar away from anything else. To yammer on about how great they are to have 30k at their toilet bowl and rag on the Bombers for having 27k at a game and not factor in on some days there are 15k+ at a Jets game and between 5-7k at a Goldeyes game amoung other things going on in a bigger city is at times funny.. When you think about it the total number of season ticket holders for all 4 professional sports teams in the City (Goldeyes/Jets/Bombers/Moose) and soon to be Soccer far outnumbers fan support and contribution that the Riders claim. There is only so many entertainment dollars to go around in any city and when you add it all up there are probably close to what...40k-45k season ticket holders in the city on any year, not to mention casual walk-up crowd fans
  18. That would be the stupidest and funniest thing all wrapped into one. Carter cannot tackle whatsoever, and would get eaten alive...I so hope they do that. Are they so weak with depth and talent where that is ony option for them?...pathetic
  19. not bad considering we have played more games than everyone else and the first few were with a raw rookie who took some sacks where a vet most likely wouldn't have...the rushing yards tho and qb pressures is the more telling tale tho of how good an o-line is, sacks don't reflect o-line play per say And any team at the pro level who are averaging over 170 yards a game along the ground obviously has a strong o-line
  20. O-line is key for a teams success...and we have the best in the league...bar none and the stats validate it. How many sacks have they given up this year....curious about that number, and if Goosen didn't fall on his own last game it would have been 3 straight games without a sack I believe...correct me if I am wrong
  21. Chris Jones and stupid enough tho does seem to go well with each other don't you think? They are in dire need of DB's, so he brings in an NFL retread who is 33 and hasnt played in 2 years...does that not exude stupid enough??
  22. Hamilton did what they did to bring him in to see what he's got...if he lit it up from the get go then they had an attention grabbing starter that would help them all around, with a good back-up in Masolli..or if he showed well but didn't win the starters spot then they had a good back-up still with name recognition to give them more viability. In regards to Montreal if Adams lights it up..well he becomes the back-up that has shown he may be capable of running the offence if Johnny gets hurt or crashes and burns...
  23. So does this mean that all revenue generated that remains after football operation costs goes into the team's bank account/rainy day fund??
  24. Thats what a lot of old school coaches claim...tho more suits a real rookie who is in his first year of ball...as opposed to a 4 year NFL vet who has logged significant playing time..
  25. Don't base an import position's production based on the previous player. Throw what Bowman did out the window. A Tompkins or Washington...heck even a Lankford over the long haul will be far more productive and garner far more attention from a defense than a Lafrance..Augustine (both of whom aren't receiver options)..Peterman or a Simonese...tho a Simonese on the rail would be the best route to take if you went 3 Canucks. Playing 2 rookie Canadians with Demski makes us weaker....and thats not even debatable...also...you just lost your depth if one gets hurt...and as the old adage goes...every rookie you start you are going to lose a game...so with Sayles..Cooper..Streveler already having started thats our 3 losses..we don't need the extra couple in a tough west division Peterman and Simonese ...and really Lafrance havn't proven jack yet so not sure why that would be considered an upgrade. And honestly I think Augustine is a better back than Lafrance...but thats just my opinion
