  1. totally true....And Allen on defence further adds to that....They also lost a high contributing Global too which hurts....Be interesting on how they re-do that ratio there yeah his measurables were garbage for a receiver...well....bottom tier I guess....and he didnt seem too enthused to use any physicality in the blocking game either.... Speaking of Corcoran, he doesnt offer a lot really...even on teams and if we draft one of the intriguing upside receivers in the draft, and with Demski..Neild and Clercius, I just dont see a spot on roster for him....and If we dress him in addition to all 3..thats a poor decision. I cant see us going 3 national receivers either for ratio...ZC needs all the top end talent we can field and if 4 nationals, one of them being Corcoran is the best next 4 guys we scrounged up behind White..Demski..and Wilson then thats an epic recruitment fail...or a really poor coaching decision...again
  2. Yeah sex pest was more conversation/harassment centered...Ajou was more of an actual physical unwanted touching thing was it not?....so yeah only a fool would challenge his suspension.....Kelly did everything kinda right and caused no issues with it....and being a high profile player and key player position wise I guess good on him and the Argo org for doing all the necessary things..Ajou on other hand is a fart in the wind kinda player and his being on a roster...or off one is negligeable and no team would be better off...or worse for wear for it with him in regards to their roster...he's a big ol nothing burger
  3. i dont think we see him at all this yr...may be a quiet signing in 2027 off-season tho by some team with poor character decisions.....and really...It's not like he is a great asset anyway...crappy route runner....suspect hands....obviously an arsebag.....and he kinda showed that on field with his actions as well....Looks the part.....but isn't a top end guys...basically bottom end of you roster receiver....his passport was his greatest asset....but he just pissed all over that...
  4. Yeah...and he finally has put himself in the right environment to make said strides. Not that I think he will get another NFL opportunity anytime soon...if ever really, but if he was to maybe get a sniff it will be from being up here and showing he belongs on a pro field and can be successful. That being said he prob won't show any of that potential for at least 2 yrs and even then woukd be pushing 27 and still considered as a project down there and will have aged out. No team will invest money and time..especially in a Canadian College kid who if he ever shows starter or number 2 talent when that player will be pushing 30..not gonna happen His top end ceiling this yr likely is a number 3 guy running short yardage and accumulated tds doing so..but we have seen u can get that with any big body behind center..not always even a qb...that in itself won't get you a sniff...
  5. He looks the part...passed they "eye test" curious tho as why nobody kept him around for at least a yr to develop tho...guess we will see first hand in a month...maybe he doesn't have the aptitude or process ability at pro level...maybe back to the game he knows we reap the rewards...I pulling for him but with very tempered view
  6. he wasnt really made to kick anything over 40 yards...thats what...his consecutive streak record the league blkathered on about was a load of horsepiss as he kicked what...5 maybe over 40+ yards? confidence dropped when made to kick real FG's....basically
  7. agreed...should b....better be....and if it's not based on Walter's work....then cutting the head off the coaching aspect who is the one in charge of roster...player retention and deletions....game day preparedness and adjusting has to be done...and basically confirms where the main issues lie....and I'd do it in the last 3rd of the season if we on outside looking up....and get the head start going into Grey Cup week to let any interested parties know we in the market....or do our own back channel tampering...as it's a common thing anyway so for us not o do it is just dumb For now will give the benefit of the doubt based on moves and guys we moved on from...coaches we didnt retain (tho one is still lingering around...and god knows why) Now was that all Walter's doing and removing temptations?...guess we shall see when final roster is posted after TC and how the first 3 or so games go and if it's just becoe the same ol same ol...just with a new cast of characters I am skeptically optimistically at current, and think maybe some have learned finally and its adapt/evolve...or die...we shall see....but looking forward to camp and intend to try and get there several times to see first hand...I have no faith and trust in the media based on what I see from them when there...and what I read after the fact...and Tait's articles albeit a good read and well done, and enjoyable...are a lot of fluff pieces based on his marching orders
  8. Finally he made the right decision..he should have known and sucked it up after his 6 workouts after the Packers it wasn't in cards right now. History of players of his football pedigree never will succeed at qb down there...its a fact He has a lot to prove and learn and he finally will have the environment now to do it...now let's see what he does with it. Sure he looks the part...but so do a lot of players but they just can't make the jump. Lighting up Canadian college kids is a far cry from transferring it in pros..so the sooner he got here to try..the better his longterm football life will be Also I couldn't care less about people's boner about a Canadian qb..its irrelevant as the qb is just 1 of 24 starters...as a coach I want the 22...or 24 best available to me regardless of where they came from. To force a Canadian one...and 99 percent of time a lesser talent into one the more important spots to satisfy some stupid narrative...is well stupid...I could care less if he was a shot on a rock hatched by the sun...if hes the best then he plays
  9. Dumped a bucket of piss for a bag of crap....well done Does Sask have a kicker signed?
  10. we must have quite he rainy day fund accumulated now....and imagine what it could be if not for the 2 covid yrs Proof positive that if you put in the leg work, and do things right a franchise can be profitable....Hopefully other squads take note and reach out to try and replicate...tho it's also not rocket science either....you just need the right people in charge and ability to listen to and get a sense of your fan base
  11. Even still Stegall was in the NFL for a bit...so was deemed good enough there for a bit Every new player really comes up as a nobody for the most part...some with shining college stats...some with rather plain and unassuming stats...it's all about the opportunity present when they get here, and a coaching staffs ability to see it...or see something in a player and squeeze the most out of them and get them in a position to succedd....if you have talent and ability....teams will see it Interesting in regards to Bruce he came up here basically with experience in college as mainly a RB and not a receiver but our staff at the time saw in him the talent and gave him the chance at receiver as there was no chance in him unseating Roberts, and we also had Blount and Mills ....and that turned out pretty well for us. You don't let high ability talent walk out the door just cause it doesn't fit your ratio or established stars in prime are in the way....good evaluators will find a way...we have a hard time doing that here of late
  12. yup...we need one to step up as thats a critical need for us, and the kinda guy that ZC needs at this juncture of his career TJ Davis also intrigues and curious to see what we try to do with him...Has a lot of QB experience, and can return....could be a versatile roster guy too....camp will be interesting
  13. If we wanna keep a receiver of that ilk...then Banks should be the guy as bigger...way better measurables...better pedigree...huge upside and almost shocking he is up here, and likely is gonna be playing dialed in with something to prove. He could also easily step in to the wide side WR spot right outta the gate and be easily eased in with us having Demski, White and Pokey stealing a lot of the db's attention and find himself in a lot of one on one situations....and he is a proven contested ball receiver and knows how to us his body to box guys out....Plus can take inside routes and work from along the l.o.s too...Dude has all the tools and came from a top notch school
  14. I see him as early cut candidate in camp....just a body
  15. I'd love to see him start as well, as I dont think the sum of all the parts with us going 3 imports on the oline and sacrificing a key one on defence makes us better. Now if Osh actually uses his Canadian youth on defence at linebacker, as well as Bailey in rotation and we draft another kid who isn't just a teams only ever plug but a potential starter/high upside guy to ease into the defence then yeah maybe it could make sense....But we all know Osh and how he works his roster, and until I see otherwise...I have zero faith he will...let alone knows how to maximize his roster with the best players, and then actually use them
  16. yup....his next deal will be a mid level one...he keeps advancing his play...well in 3 yrs his next deal will be higher end oline pay. I like his current trajectory development wise and by all accounts is a sponge and works hard at getting better, and fully expect him to look down the guard spot this yr...And if Eli is just a competent center at, Broxton anchoring the right side and allowong Neuf just to worry about his job and not having the human pylon to his left that will all add to Wallace really coming on
  17. Wallace is an easy keep and foolish to let walk for what could amount for 40...50k Neuf shouldnt be back for 2027 and I doubt Big Stan will as well...Neuf money can go to bump Wallace...Big Stan elsewhere....and change left over
  18. thing is...sure he knows the Canadian game...but the leap from CIS to CFL for a QB...the speed...the nuances...processing what his eyes think they see....everything is just massive....and why for most part we rarely see a Canadian born and exclusively trained ever make the jump. Would realistically take them 3...4 yrs to just become serviceable...and by that time was the juice worth the squeeze....nope. He just pushing any possible development and success further down the road, and may never even get to realize it...Personally....if we could get some real good return for him at the draft...I'd dump him off elsewhere he's made 5 weeks of per diems for a first yr player in an NFL TC...thats it...thats all....a paltry amount and would have made more sitting on our PR or as QB 4on the 1 game IR all yr learning in a pro environment, and could still exercise his option to try the NFL again this spring if he got a camp invite
  19. and has proven nothing other than success at the CIS level....no offense to the cis and canadian athletes but that' a big whuppty do...especially for a QB....Just look at Ford recently...and he has a way better game with his legs that Elgersma and he was putrid. He's 24 sure...but has wasted a good 2 yrs so far in his development curve up here where he could actually amount to something....so he is just further delaying his development and future earning potential.....He is never....ever gonna get a spot in the NFL other than a PR spot and thats a stretch...and if his mindset and attitude is one where that is cool with him, and has no desire other than that...get the hell ouuta here then and move his ass for picks, or an asset. I have no desire for a Canadian QB whatsover anyway, and why would you want a inferior pivot....and no ability to back him up with one??... A Nathan Rourke is a unicorn and is a Canadian by birth only....he was developed and trained and learned his craft in the U.S for the yrs that matter .....Elgersma hasnt...he excelled against a buttload of players who once their senior yr ended will never ever strap on a helmet again...
  20. and doing it all for free lol
  21. combo of all 3 me thinks...but he has gotten some bad guidance since the 2025 CFL/NFL season ended...Dude in all reality has had no real significant play time since his last University season...and his one NFL camp and the position on depth chart he was at...got no real developing there either...and his couple workouts after that again amount to nothing...Likely was about 20 mins of showing of/how he can make the common throws in the NFL game and what kind of ball he threw...He could have got more useful work playing flag football in a beer league up here
  22. sauteing and marinating nicely eh?....doofus
  23. Wilson def needs to show this camp he has taken the next step and has advanced.....If he hasnt...I could see him losing the 3rd spot to Thorne who we may see as a legit development guy like we had in Brown. Has the makeup of a real good CFL style QB As for elgersma....he has wasted 2 valuable yrs now of development...and longer he pisses around he is even further behind in any realization of potential. If he balks all yr again...and in meantime we find a legit guy who shows progress and development thru the yr..that.. and or sign a already established guy in the 2027 FA period...I'd trade him away pronto as if he finally came in 2027 after 3 yrs in the abyss...he aint gonna be your answer anytime soon...and if handed it just cause we have a lil chub over a Canadian QB which I feel is irrelevant and pointless...expect several yrs of scuffling as a team
  24. Expansion team for what?....and a shared facility is totally not a bad idea...I agree Yeah Edm and CGY not too concerned with in regards to support...they get back to winning....and CGY gets some better facilities....they both be fine....Both tho are fair weather fan cities for sure tho
