I see Rider's signed A.C Leonard...I recall when he was dumped..they all dumped on him..bad guy...no good...bad penalties..yadda..yadda...yaddaa...I bet now the narrative is "Solid signing" "just s good as Willie at half the cost"...etc...etc

dark horse as well would be Rhymes...you have to remeber he payed behind Ellingson..Sinoploli and Spencer...so his looks were limited and put up a bit over 300 yards in 8 games..as a more featured guy...he could do quite well with nice size and speed

but really...other than the uncertainty of facilities..actually lack thereof in terms of practice etc. in T.O...What does he really have to see in other cities?...he knows whats what...

He knows what most teams facilities are..probably wanted to check out if T.O has actually built some kind of facility as opposed to busing around the city..and I sure it was more of a Jim Popp thing wanting to bring him there and go for the hard sell on him. The fact he didnt sign qhen the Argos said they basically planned to sign him yesterday is lending me to believe he is looking at the whole picture as opposed to maybe making 30-50 k more there, but playing in basic anonymity and no real fan frenzy

Adams just needs a bit of help to take attention away from him...he led league in 30=yards plays and was second in td receptions with 10...so some small help would do wonders Value signing in Roosevalt as a year stop gap while we "hopefully" develop one of our own recruits would serve well...unless we can nab Mathews on a ice deal...Terrence Tolliver as well is an interesting option

Yeah...A Mathews and Holley, or a Roosevalt and Tolliver combo would compliment what we have nicely and fit into what we do on offence better...

Thing is...The Riders will be in this hole now for several years as all the quality starters are locked up...so unless they can un-earth a real gem (won't happen) they have to trade for a second teir guys and most likely have to give up something significant for it, as why would a team help you out for nothing? They can spin things any way they want out there, but they have had to settle since Joes left for their coaches, and now QB and possible lose other key guys..I can't see Roosevalt wanting to re-up there to get set up to be pummeled like last year from poor QB play, and I wouldn't be shocked to see Tobi Anighua leave and follow his buddy here, or head up to CGY

That graph was before Demski and Alexander. Sure we only signed one new guy (so far) but re-upping Alexander was just as big as bringing in a new guy. Also all these "big" names signed so far were guys we never were really interested in or needed to augment our core of guys save for most likely Posey. But theres still Walker or Mathews who basically still fill that need and will require similar cash to sign. Outside of QB's, we signed prob the best available impact player on the market.. (Jefferson)for market value..all the while several of the teams in our division have basically used up most of their "big game" money. So now that the dust has settled a bit Walter's can re-evalute the needs vs availability and probably get guys he wants at better SMS value. Based on some of the B.C ties I'm thinking Awe would look pretty good here replacing JSK and possibly a Max Forde or Joseph from Mtl for national dline rotation help especially if we draft a dlineman where there are 2 of which who can most likely step into lineup as backup/rotation right away. We can also make a play too for Ackie now for national depth on defense as a starter..or a courtney stephans, and most likely get them at reasonable money. We lost a few starters in Loffler and Chungh but weren't vital cogs..nice pieces but not debilitating losses by any means. We have 6 olineman signed and coming back who were or have all been on roster and played and save for Gray and his one game dressed have been together for 3 going on 4 years now, and Gray most likely could have been a 1st overall if the known NFL interest wasnt there. Ace in hole..we have picks 4 and 5 and what..4 or 5 of first 24 picks..our national talent pipeline will be replenished easily again..

And the fact he hasn't been snapped up already is a bit telling too

I like the ability of our safety to cover..move up play man..and go from sideline to sideline tracking the ball..loffler doesnt offer that..big hits ain't all that..

Yeah I dont know if Walters is sleeping at the wheel, or has big plans....but missing out on Adeleke..Posey..and if we miss out on Walker I consider that a big fail...unless Lokombo..or Ackie...or both are in the works along with say Mathews

This defense now is going to be tough...and they are already vomitting over on Riderville which makes it more enjoyable
