Edem is brutal...and there's a reason he is on what,,his 3rd team now...and it's not cause he was wooed away from his previous team...horrible in coverage and penchant for dumb penalties..Blake and Labatte are 33 and 32 and on downswing..Corey Watson if he used as a starter is 35...Lavoie if used is 31..thats an old arsed team of core National starters to be relying on...and if they go down...whats behind them?? Bladek coming off a bad injury and wasn't a stud previous to that..Shepley is a big unknown..and no developing or potential starters on the horizon behind them that are National until their scrap heaping process starts...which it will....Judge is adequate but to be the main man now with losses they had (Jefferson..Eguevan..Antigha) not to mention Jones he is gonna flounder. and on top of that Hughes..Eliminiam ..Johnson and are all 35..32 and 32 in june for Johnson...again..an old arsed core of starters...so when you look at it yeah their list of starters National and Import are old in tooth...on downswing for the most part and have next to nothing but unproven guys behind them...at least the BC's and Edm's have depth pieces..younger quality national starters...and above all..a legit QB..Can't see nothing but a long miserable year this year especially with a rookie HC..DC..GM

and his 1 for 10 showing in the Green and White game...were you would think he should have lit it up somewhat against a plethora of newbies and soon to be camp cuts probably didn't help his mindset, and should be concerning to all. It is a continuation of his 9 TD's vs 13 int's previous season...I doubt he makes it to 6 games..either due to injury, or just sucking that bad

I think we are done being spoon fed that crap..we have the depth..and players now to not have to do these things...so fielding the best front 7 is I am sure priority one now, and a certain player mentioned in this thread doesn't make it the strongest...but...who knows...we will probably be duped again...and Bryant..or Richardson will end up elsewhere and be all-stars haha

still tho...we don't need to start a national at DT as we will at safety...safety is the better place to put an inferior National than right up the middle..as we have seen in years pst with the Hurl Thomas combo..when they were in watch some film..teams ran right at/through them. We are a much MUCH stronger team with a front of Jeff squared and Nevis and Bryant..with a Jones/Hecht safety combo than we are with a jeff sguared Thomas and Whomever front with an American safety...and anyone who thinks otherwise I don't know what to say...and really startiing 8 nationals with 2 on defenses doesn't eally do much for us as how it stands now we can freely swap an import in wherever as long as its not for whatever national is on the field...makes zero sense to start a national there unless they are leaps and bounds the best player avalaible, and sorry to say for all the Jake lovers...he's not the 2nd best DT on the team...5th maybe

to me sounds like they may be splitting reps depending on the scheme...but who kows...its week one basically of camp so who knows whats up or down

I'm pretty sure that if the Riders had landed one of Harris..Reilly or BLM...that Collaros wouldn't even be in anyones camp right now...he's where he is basically out of the Rider's desperation...that and aonly that reason...

Who knows...but if thats the end result then our import tackles must have made a serious regression from last year and Richardson isn't as good as his camp reports...even though I have heard more good things about him than Thomas from coaches..and players.. Would be a major step back for our defense as well..

nothing out of ordinary..when asked about a player they glow about em all....whens the last time yuou heard...he slow out of the blocks...horrible hands..couldnt catch a cold...he's in tough with ratio/sms/youth, i doubt he sticks...never...and how many times have we heard accolades outta coaches and media's yappers only to scratch our heads when they are cut...too many times to count..thats why you shouldnt read too much into comments...he was so glowing he wasn't resigned last year...think about that...he is not getting better at this stage in career...only declining unless he is on a strict fitness regime..using HGH and othe PED'S and looking at him...that doesn't appear to be the case..

I would hope he didn't get too big of a confidence boost in the fact that the Riders "opted" to bring him back...they did all they could to land several others, so were relegated to bringing him back or start season with a nobody. If the season doesn't start well for him/them...and or he gets belted around good a few times in first few games...he will be toast..mentally and physically...

well sometimes in a small roster league and a small SMS restrained league rookies start or lesser experienced guys step into the fray..just because you have to make it all work...regardless...there is no need to start a canadian defensive tackle to meet ratio..there will be a national at safety and 2 nationals replacing the departed o-lineman..especially with Foketti missing in action..a interior with Couture/Speller and Gray is less likely to have hiccups than a new American at guard who would be totally fresh to Canadian ball So there is really only a need for one National Dtackle on the roster...like has been done the last few years to meet ratio of 22 guys....maaaybe 2 depending on what skillset they possess...so at somepoint the newbies (griffith/Kongbo) will be given their chance to cut their teeth as they have more upside..and ability...Jake may stick at first..but he shouldn't feel to secure, and he is not a 75% or more snap a game guy as has been shown with extended use he peters out and is just muscled around..10-15 reps a game he is adequate, not sensational but so would be Forde..Kongbo wheh healthy or Griffith..

Thomas has not worked his way to the #1 tackle spot beside Nevis...thats almost funny to say that Thomas is beating Bryant..there are glowing reports from the "reporters" all the time about guys who get ousted in first round of cuts...or final cuts and guys stick who never got a word of press from our beat writers...Also havnt heard Hall or Oshea say as such either...other than having a good camp but they say that about everyone...he may stick and get reps...but no way is he being the 80 percent snaps guy in the middle

i read somewhere Soliman is injured..hasn't practiced yet?..how does one get injured before even being on the field...I think father time and injuries are taking toll on him and doubt he be much of an impact player there this year...more average than elite

if there is s surprise d-line cut it will be Nevis..or Roh...or both..Bryant is younger and cheaper than both, and way more upside and the last 6 ganes of year probably one of the best DT's in the league..Roh is expendable once Kongbo is healthy as it frees up a DI spot...and again...no need to "start" a national at DT...why make yourself weaker if you don't have to?..Richardson..Bryant..Nevis...offer wayyyyy more than Thomas...his time was already done last year but an injury got him back...he is on his last legs now...and will be lucky to make roster

I actually dont either, but with Kongbo out he has a slim chance..that being said Forde has looked good and Griffiths I think can step in and take reps already this year and looks to offer more than Thomas does right now..if not at par plus has wayyy more upside...

NO way Thomas will start in place of any of the D Tackles this year considering it is not needed...and if that wa sto happen that would be utterly disturbing that the coaches made that decision..he may at first grab the rotational National piece on the D-line to start the season, but once Kongbo is ready will see his reps decrease, if not even sent to the PR or the 2 non dressed spots.. I expect to see Bailey filling out the receiving corp with Lawler either 46'd or IR/pr Initially..I think Washington too sticks somewhere on the roster

Yeah we are well stocked...if any one ..or more of Couture/Gray/Speller/Eli/Desjarlais was to hit PR or outright released hey would be snapped up immediately says a lot about the depth, especially when we have the top left tackle as well as arguably the top right tackle, and the straw that stirs this olines drink...and not to forget Neufeld whom many still doubt on, but has played every game now for what..the past 2yrs and a bit and many across the league would say is a top guard...not to mention one of the guys who plays with the mean nasty streak

with these new rules too...couldn't he conceivably be dressed as the 6th olineman now..3 years with Bombers, so whoever went down on the line national or Import he can step in for
