  1. maybe yeah...I havn't looked at their depth chart as to if any are raw rookies
  2. Though guys like Rose, Hecht, and Jefferson I don't consider new...to the team yes but not the league..and Fenner as well is not a rookie...he's a former starter too
  3. totally agree...my only concern is a few hiccups with bad reads, or miscommunication with seeing something they aren't used to...physically and the ability to smack guys around not too concerned.
  4. thats the thing...it wasn't a matter of "if" he was gonna get knocked out but when...and it didn't have to be a head shot either...as cheap and lowdown dirty as a hit it was..Lawrence turned to the side and hit him more with his shoulder/body than a blatant spear or helmet to helmet shot so the impact wasn't as violent as it could have been..if that pop knocked him out just imagine a real good bone rattling smash...
  5. I think that continuity and the fact we will be running full schemes on both sides of the ball will carry us through this first game...that O-line interior has me a bit nervous but at same time also a bit excited to see if the grooming of guys has paid off...
  6. same can be said about Michah Johnson..talks about how his and AC Leonards addition makes their D-line better than with Jefferson there...which in itslef was laughable, but Johnson now has to work with weaker talent around him than in CGY and won't be the force he was there, and didn't do much last night though it is only one game in..but still...didn't wow me, and Hughes picked up right where he left off the last 2 seasons...non factor and invisible
  7. Harris also is surrounded with a QB and passing game...good to great o-line and other weapons to take the abuse off of him..Powell is going to get destroyed this year..also Dickensons claims that he wants powell to have 20 carries a game..like wtf...360 carries in a year in these times is ridiculous at best...
  8. Evans went down...may have came back but unsure..knee..Labatte is already out...I seen Clarke too come up real slow a few times..for a team with very thin depth as it is this spells trouble...I knew Bladek would get hurt especially a O-line guy with a knee rebuild as being there 2 times myself it seemed awfully quick to be back fully participating considering it happened in Oct... On Collaros maybe this was a good thing for him and Riders...Get the first of what will most likely been/be multiple concussions this year out of the way right away..and maybe make a decision to move on/away now..save the guys noodle more trauma it would get over the season...pretty sure quality of life is more important than trying to turn that tire fire around... The loss of Jones may be more far reaching than thought as that staff looked lost and perplexed, and that team of primarily 30 somethings as starters is gonna be beat up bad by mid season...Powell is gonna be worn down to a useless knub in no time
  9. Riders are a mess..brutal oline play and they lost another starter on it..yikes! When Powell turned it over on downs Clarke got right trucked..and guys were coming through all night. Did Hughes even play? Johnson doesnt look as good when he has to do all the work. Pop gun offence will scare nobody and expect Powell to be hurt or worn and broken down by midseason.. not like he a spring chicken Lucky for rider faithfull that Hamikton played and looked like crap or this would have been fugly... Dickenson looks lost and is going to have a lot of learning/growing to do if he wants to continue as a HC
  10. https://s3.amazonaws.com/assets-ticats/app/uploads/ticats/2015/05/22150957/Depth-Chart-Roster-06-13-19-vs-SSK.pdf Looking at that not a whole lot of rookies to me...both sides of the ball are basically 2 years or more save for their center...
  11. hahaha...no doubt...2 factors gave the Riders that win...No Glenn and we still almost beat them with Dinoodle...and if there was challenges/command center then...the pivotal INT be overturned...yup they won and you can't cry over split milk or change things, but they shouldn't have
  12. I dunno..no labatte though he not that good no more..bladek fresh off injury and isnt that good..same with Clarke.. Blake old as dirt and unproven backup as their 6th No Solomon and he may not have it no more..Means hasnt played since a short stint in 2016..linebackers look real suspect..Edem..well he gets beat more than he does anything spectacular.. Other than injury prone Roosevalt that receiving Corp has to be bottom tier in league until they prove otherwise..rookie hc and DC and top it off hanging season on Collaros...dont see that as anything more than a 7 or 8 win team and that's being kind...Powell wont be a difference maker there and will be beat down sooner than later as he is 32 as well..
  13. YEAH..it does go both ways...prime example Sask last year
  14. for all teams involved...last year means jack
  15. yes...and no...just like a goalie in hockey...but if your qb right sucks..as does your goalie...your team seldom wins
  16. whats their win loss records though over the past 4 years...and who's the chubby one?
  17. Streveler threw more TD's than Zack last year as the back-up...that says a lot right there about him not having it anymore...
  18. I could care less about the stats...I want my guy to give the team a chance to win and just play smart..othe than that 3 -4 game brain fart episode by Nichols last year all he has done is basically that..won, or had us in spots to win and if not for a sad sack defense his first year and a bit as a starter here he'd have even ore wins..as he was putting up 30 and more points a lot of games and still lost..thats not on him...I dont feel like looking it up but as it sits now his winning percentage as a starter here is well above .600 Collaros I think just doesn't have it anymore and is playing scared and isn't mentally tough enough anymore...his record last year sure was 10-6 or something as the starter but that 9 td's and 13 int's didn't get that record, and I think 4 or 5 games were won by a touch down or less and if the defense didn't score any in those games, well they'd been losses...
  19. yeah kinda funny...especially the Gainey part...wayyyy overated and never understood it...gets bunrned way too often to be considered elite...and other than the one year where he got all those interceptions (10) many of which were gifts and not from superb coverage he has pick totals of 0/0/2/0/3/3...hardly a guy who creates turnovers or makes a huge difference...he of 1 sack and 4 forced fumbles in his entire 7 year career. I'm sure we will see him in Banks or Taskers dust tonight a few times
  20. your lucky...buzz and Boomer have noodle arms and zero escapabability
  21. totally agree...and be further ahead this year too
  22. yes I read that somewhere too hahahahaha
  23. yeah I enjoy discusssing with other fan bases..get diffeent perspectives...but man sometimes some there get wayyy over sensitive and ultra immature...but its all good fun..I post on a couple other sites but under a different name...
  24. not in the same way though...more so with facts and history...over there it's unfounded..juvenile and pretty petty
  25. yeah I like to give Ripper a hard time...more in fun but he seems like a good fan of is team, and league and can actually have back and forth convo that actually makes sense and isn't blinded like others on his site...and can take it and give it just the same...it's interesting though if one of us venture there and make similar type comments/statements are attacked for it, degraded at times and generally banned......weird lol
