that market has only one "major" sports team to spend entertainment dollars on...I don't count junior hockey as one, as Manitoba has as many if not more junior teams in the Provence as does Sask . They have the Riders, Lacrosse and.....Usports...thats about it WPG for example has Bombers..Jets..Goldeyes..Moose...now soccer...as well as the 2 universities..WHL..and the 2 other junior leagues so a lot of disposable income to be spread about the city...so averaging what we do is still pretty impressive when you look at the big picture

a team who had to be saved by telethons and selling bogus worthless team shares to save their butts in the losing years shouldn't be trumpeting this endless money tripe anyway...has already been stated that attendance there has dipped due and a toilet bowl of a season this year I'm sure will take it's toll on their gate...thats how it works there...at least in our dry spell we still put anywhere from 27 to 29k butts in the seats...I recall looking back on attendance figures when they perpetually sucked and they were in the very low 20's and a few seasons in the high teens

and based on financial league records haven't the Bombers the last few years had more profit on the bottom line? I give Ripper some agreement that they sell a lot of green swag around the league but it's all they have to back really, and there are lots ...more like tons of defectors who leave that god forsaken place once they are old enough so ya...they but stuff in other cities..

a safety rarely is a focal point, or the reason that a defense is great vs good vs awful...and if the safety is the linchpin your defense is in serious trouble anyway. Pretty sure the likes of Biggie..Jefferson..Jeffcoat..Fenner..Sayles..Alexander will more than make up for whomever is at safety...our safety this year will be playing more of a centerfielder role this year..flowing to plays and being available for over the top help...I have no concerns

add to it the big replacement..Johnson doesn't have the supporting cast that he had in CGY...so he certainly will have lesser numbers...and who knows what Hughes has left...he burns out by mid season last 2 years and being a year older..can't see that trend reversing Jefferson allowed that defense to do a lot of different things, and truthfully Eguavoen was probably their best all around defender too..so AC Leonard and whoever replaces Eguavoen is a major downgrade from last year...

I doubt an over 31 Johnson is gonna put up the same type numbers without the supporting cast like he had in CGY...that supporting cast in SSK is gonna leave him doing all the heavy lifting there..plus looking at your offence the defense gonna ge on field...a lot..and wear down..Hughes will dissapear sooner than he has the last 2 yrs

I hope tho that the release of Bryant and Mcalister doeant indicate we are starting a national at DT..though with Jake only national on active roster it would seen Richardson won out the spot with Jake as rotation which I fine with. Richardson was a true beast and lined up with Nevis who is unsung hero we will get some major push for our ends to clean up and have Biggie come clean on blitz.. I wouldn't be surprised to see double digit or close to it sack totals for him I do like how we allocated our or PR too..and glad it looks to be Baikey as the 5th I bet and Lucky rotating in as a DI Bailey wasnt targeted much in preseason but staff knows what they have there..just watch that once the real bullits start flying with the starting offence he's gonna shine
