  1. I’m shocked. Surprised but very happy. This might just be the best receiving core I’ve ever seen in my life time. Good luck trying to cover those guys.
  2. So if anyone disagrees with you it’s so called “ yah but” interesting..I guess that’s a full proof way of convincing yourself you’re right all the time.
  3. After a busy negotiation period and active day one, it’s been pretty slow day two and three. Probably not a lot of cap room left for most GM’s. Would love to bring in a DL like Mike Moore, or Shane Ray want to beef up that DLine otherwise I’m pretty content on what we’ve done this off season. Have to rely on our scouts to continue to bring in talent.
  4. Same with Twitter. I’m a young guy but I got rid of all my social media during the pandemic and couldn’t be happier.
  5. Well said. We’re the best team on paper because unlike most great teams we didn’t lose anyone of consequence to FA, and we added the best receiver in the game to an already great receiving core. With all the injuries we had in our linebacking and secondary last season and the emergence of new starters we’re in a great position. Not to mention like you said our scouting staff is always bringing in new talent to fill our roster.
  6. The 15-3 Bombers who added the best receiver in the game aren’t the best team on paper? I mean fair enough @Mikeplease educate us on who you think the best team on “paper” is it the Toronto Argonauts who don’t have a starting QB currently?
  7. If we’re going to make any more moves I would love to bring in Mike Moore. Solid DT, had six sacks last season with the Als.
  8. Not to mention that early 2000’s team won nothing. I’ll take the pedigree of proven winners over a team that never was.
  9. You’re on a bomber forum we’re not going to sit here all day and circle jerk your Grey Cup victory. Congrats on the win, any given Sunday, let’s leave it at that and move on you don’t need constant validation from another teams fan base.
  10. Probably wants a significant raise. with all the star receivers taking priority and getting signed between 200-300 k a lot of GM’s are going to be hesitant to throw North of 200 for Bailey. I guess that becomes the problem when your top receiver or two is making so much it’s the second tier guys who suffer because most GM’s will need to bring in a young American receiver to fill that hole. No doubt he’ll find a home but it may not be on day one.
  11. Agreed if big targets like Woli and Augdosi are your 4th and 5th options you’re in a really good position..
  12. Well said. It really shows how spoiled we’ve become when we complain about Grey Cup performances; like getting there three years in a row and winning two isn’t a major accomplishment.. Like we didn’t have a 30 year drought and a lot of bad to mediocre seasons in between that time period.. heck 10 years ago I just wanted the Bombers to not be the laughing stock or the league. How quick we forget!
  13. 200k for Sayles might end up being the worst move of the entire off season. Wow I can’t believe Hamilton is throwing that kind of money at him.
  14. Maybe they make a bid for Geno? For the price tag he demands id probably rather have White and Dunbar..
  15. Guarantee you the Riders over paid to get him and he’ll be making as much if not more then CF was making this season you can bet on that. With the way the market is shaping up it’s looking like another season with a terrible o-line for the Riders, Knowing the state of the franchise I think this is a last ditch effort on O’day to keep his job.
  16. I guess you can argue that however, BC and Edmonton threw around a ton of money on day one last year too.
  17. Gotta rely on our scouting department to fill some of those holes. Can’t always be free agent Day one winners. Teams that over spend in free agency are rarely playing in November.
  18. Well he’s played 13 and 12 games in the last two seasons. In a full season he would have easily had two, thousand yard seasons easily. Like I said I think he has even another level he can take his game. It would be a big big loss losing Demski in his prime.
  19. Really wouldn’t be too happy. Demski is a Swiss Army knife who I still believe has another gear,he’s close to really becoming a dominant player plus his passport makes him to me more valuable then almost any American receiver in the league. I don’t really see a scenario where we get Lewis or Lawler cheaper then what Demski is going to get so unless Demski doesn’t want to be here I would rather just use the money on him.
  20. Well I guess it depends.. Ellingson has been the better player when healthy but he’ll be 35 by the team the CFL season is over in 2023. I guess I can’t really see a scenario where a 34 year old is going to get less injury prone, I would rather roll the dice on Wieneke who was outstanding in 2021.
  21. Agreed. He’s also 6’4 he would be a great deep ball target for ZC8
  22. Depends. If they command 300 k each I would rather let another team over bid.
