  1. What I loved was that Suitor said, at least three times, that there were 8 minutes left when Grymes dropped the ball. There was actually 11:23 when he dropped it, but it makes it sound like Edm was closer to winning if there were 8. He also said that Edm was close to beating us twice. Not sure how he figures that?? 🤷‍♂️
  2. Ugh I turned this game off after Ottawa punted on 3rd and 2 at the HAMILTON 42! Why??? Can’t kick that field goal? Go for it then. You’re not winning if you don’t score points. Reminded me of the Tim Burke era here where he called for a field goal on the 15 when we were down by over 20 in the 4th quarter. It’s not playing to win and it drives me crazy.
  3. Another dominant game! Funny how teams come into games against us with the “league’s best offence” and qbs come up against us as “MOP favourite” and finish the game not even close to either.
  4. Over 300 as a team in Banjo Bowl. As for one qb throwing over 300 I’m too lazy right now to look it up 😆
  5. 100% he’s only out there to take some coverage away from Burnham.
  6. And as we all know, those are practically WJIII numbers!
  7. I think the most incredible thing about this news is that all three QBs who dressed for us in the 2007 Grey Cup are now head coaches of professional* teams! * Note that "professional" is used loosely in the case of the Cincinnati Bengals and Toronto Argonauts.
  8. Hey, I'm not going to argue against that. Not saying that going to the Argos would be a smart move. Just trying to say that his decision might be more motivated by personal reasons than anything else. And it'd tough to live up to the legacy he already created here. But since I don't know him, I obviously don't know what his motivations would be.
  9. The only difference is that having free agency in February keeps people and media talking about the league in February. But, I agree that they could easily fix the tampering if they wanted to, but they are not serious enough about wanting to. After Toronto traded ZC to Winnipeg, Pinball openly said that they expect to sign Collaros. If that's not tampering, I don't know what is. As for Collaros himself, I'm not sure he would want to come back to Winnipeg anyway. If you look at it from his perspective, he came here, he won 4 out of 4 games and helped end a 29 year Grey Cup drought. You cannot have a more perfect stint with a team than that. It can only go down from there. I don't think it would be anything personal against the Bombers or their fans. And I would never hold that against him. He will always be a legend for what he did! Add in the fact that his wife is from Southern Ontario, and I just don't see him coming back next year. Of course, I'm no expert, so I could also be very wrong about it.
  10. I don't post much, but I read pretty much every comment made on MBB. I just have to say that I'm still coming to grips with the fact that we are Grey Cup Champs! After the last game against Hamilton, I was really down, sitting in the stands and questioning how such a promising season could have gone so wrong, how a team could be so cursed. My wife said that all teams have losses like this and to stay positive. Trading for Collaros provided some hope. Didn't quite know what to expect though. 4 games later, and he will go down as a Blue Bomber legend! The way Lapo used him and Streveler was brilliant! Andrew Harris played the game of a lifetime in the Grey Cup (or for Harris, a game he has 5 times a season)! Couldn't have asked for a better performance! And screw all of the haters! The D was amazing in the playoff run! Props to Richie Hall for coming through big time when it counted! Jefferson and Jeffcoat were absolute BEASTS in the GC! Giving up 3 tds in 3 games? Crazy! Medlock was money all playoffs. Thought he should have been an all-star for his punting. But now he's Grey Cup champ, so I'm sure he'd take that in a heartbeat. It's funny how things turn out. I've been a season ticket holder for 12 seasons. A fan for much, much longer than that. I've been through so many ups and downs (many more downs). Of all of the years that we could have won the cup, so many crazy things had to happen right this year to do it! This was our year! Winnipeg Blue Bombers, 2019 Grey Cup Champions! Has such a good ring to it! 😁
  11. "Get your sorry *** up, Gainey!" 😂 Loved the footage of him with his daughter, too!
  12. Yup, Nichols would not have made that run. And it pumped the team and the crowd up! I did love it! But to say that we would have been battling for field position the 1st quarter doesn't take into account that Sask probably would have played different d on the first play and might not have sacked Nichols. Or that Nichols doesn't make a 17 yard completion. Again, both players bring different things. And if Nichols is healthy and starting, I think we should use Streveler more, especially later in games. This. We are 9-3 this year utilizing both qbs. We have good d, good special teams, and a reliable offense that is capable of putting up points. And two quarterbacks who can and have won us games.
  13. And Masoli injured himself for the season falling down by himself in a game. What's your point? Streveler held the ball too long in the LDC and got hit from behind. Could have had the same outcome as the Nichols hit. All depends on where exactly you land when you have a 320 pound man falling on you with all of his weight. Has nothing to do with being "injury prone". Streveler and Nichols bring different things to the table. I believe that we would have won Banjo Bowl just as easily with Nichols, and likely would have won LDC. I'm glad to see Streveler improving, but he still has a long way to go in the passing game. But would Nichols have been able to make the 20 yard runs (or many of the runs) that Streveler makes? Heck no.
  14. He might be the best defensive player I’ve ever seen. The best sequence of the game for me was Jefferson forcing the fumble on the strip sack, then while the scrum was still going on for the ball, him running away, celebrating and then doing a backflip! What a beast!
