  1. Not really. Although I'm not sure when he fought a toddler.Or are you just being a ****? Omega did fight a 7 or 8 year girl. Kid won (sure) & it was creepy... I think a pedophile would have enjoyed that match. Ridiculous. Japanese wrestling is a joke. Im definitely aware. Not a toddler. And it's pretty outrageous to frame it like that. It was a huge hit and in Japan represented great trust in Omega on the part of the promoter. "Japanese wrestling" is varied. New Japan is far better than WWE right now.

  3. (CNN)Syed Rizwan Farook -- who along with his wife, Tashfeen Malik, carried out the San Bernardino shooting massacre -- apparently was radicalized and in touch with people being investigated by the FBI for international terrorism, law enforcement officials said Thursday. Farook's apparent radicalization contributed to his role in the mass shooting of 14 people Wednesday during a holiday party for the San Bernardino County health department, where Farook worked, sources said. Still, it wasn't necessarily the only driver behind the carnage, as workplace grievances might have also played a role. President Barack Obama hinted as much Thursday when he said that the attackers may have had "mixed motives." ***If you go to CNN, they have a headline saying Terrorism and a sub-story with Obama saying Americans are safe from ISIS.
  4. Lame. We had the same spot on a show two months ago. I should have uploaded video and it would have gone viral!
  5. You could do that, and then I could post some paragraphs about how you have a terrible misunderstanding of Christianity (and the Bible). But what would be the point? It's still just Muslim terrorists killing everyone. Can't you see that? I dispute this statement, as few of these mass shooting events have been linked to Muslim terrorists. I don't care what the motive or the religion of the nut bars who execute these mass killings is, the fact is 14 more innocent people are dead. The root of the problem lies in their unrestricted access to excessive fire power and their determination to execute as many people as possible. Can't find the link but watched a doc. on YouTube earlier this year on black youth gangs in New Orleans where kids as young as 12 were getting their hands on automatic weapons like the one shown in the previous video and using them to mow down other teenage gang members on a nightly basis. The film-makers easily tracked the sale of these guns to a local inner-city gun shop who was doing a "bang up" business from all the carnage created. When questioned about excessive sales of automatic weapons in an inner-city neighborhood, the shop owner's response was that his business was perfectly legal and he didn't sell guns to anyone that wasn't qualified. So why are these weapons legal, when they have no justifiable use but to kill humans? When the accumulation of money trumps human life, the justification for profit is no longer necessary. Well Im pretty sure they arent allowed to buy bombs at the store but the motivation for these killings prompted them to make them. I agree about gun control. But lets not pretend the warped ideology that motivates these particular killers isnt a problem...
  6. Missing your point. Are you saying Radical Islam isnt a thing because some nutjob identified as Christian? People committing violence against abortion clinics are generally lone-nuts attacking a specific thing they hate. They arent waging war on all things unChristian.
  7. This has merit if those three shootings had the same specific motivation, if they were doing it for some perceived ideological reason.
  8. People commit terrible crimes for different reasons. But many of the crimes are committed for the same reason. That's the difference. The random shooters thing...its not an organized effort or even an unorganized effort. But the attacks on behalf of Radical Islam is. As for the weapons, I meant the "common sense" (there's that phrase again that gets people upset) scenario of banning weapons that no one in America needs for hunting or personal protection. It should never be legal to buy an assault rifle.
  9. SUN CBC Radio’s grip on the top spot in Winnipeg’s radio landscape has been solidified. According to the fall ratings book released Thursday by Numeris, the talk-radio station can claim to be the most popular in town for a second consecutive ratings period, up 3.4 points from the spring — when it dethroned decades-long ratings champ CJOB from the top spot. Ratings for the spring book measured listeners ages 12 and older from Sept. 7 to Nov. 1. Corus-owned CJOB, which had a round of layoffs in the last period while also parting ways with longtime mid-morning show host Charles Adler, continued its multi-year slide in the ratings, dropping six-tenths of a point from the spring. That puts the station closer in the ratings to rock radio station CITI FM and pop station Virgin 103.1 than to CBC. Things are slightly better on the FM dial for Corus. Its music station, BIG 97.5, was up nine-tenths of a point from the spring, when ratings at the station had bottomed out while rebranding itself from longtime rock station Power 97. Other notable changes in the radio ratings include country station QX 104 losing almost 25% of its audience from the spring. A similar drop was felt at TSN 1290, whose springtime success was likely connected to the Winnipeg Jets’ playoff run. RADIO RATINGS How each local station did in the fall ratings book (how they did in the spring is in brackets): CBC Radio 990 15.3 (11.9) 680 CJOB 10.9 (11.5) 92 CITI 9.4 (7.9) 103.1 Virgin 9 (9.0) QX 104 7.4 (9.9) 99.9 BOB 6 (6.8) KISS 102.3 4.9 (4.6) Energy 106 4.5 (4.1) CBC Radio2 4 (2.9) FAB 94.3 3.9 (3.5) TSN 1290 3.5 (4.6) 97.5 BIG 3.1 (2.2) 99.1 Fresh 2.5 (1.7) Jewel 2.2 (2.1) Rhythm 104.7 0.7 (--) CKSB 88.1 0.2 (--) — Source: Numeris
  10. CNN Sources: Syed Rizwan Farook, male shooter in #SanBernardino massacre, was apparently radicalized
  11. #BarackObama says motive of #SanBernardino shooters still unclear. Says possibly terrorism, possibly workplace-related. #California
  12. Is it just me or does Obama seem really out of touch? Washington (CNN)President Barack Obama said in an interview that aired Thursday that he is confident the U.S. is safe from a Paris-style attack from ISIS and that American law enforcement is well equipped to protect the nation during the holidays. "ISIL will not pose an existential threat to us. They are a dangerous organization like al Qaeda was, but we have hardened our defenses," Obama told CBS. "The American people should feel confident that, you know, we are going to be able to defend ourselves and make sure that, you know, we have a good holiday and go about our lives." His comments came amid reports that the FBI is investigating ISIS sympathizers across the nation and a new study shows support for the terrorist group has reached unprecedented levels domestically. But Obama called for calm and said that terrorists and ISIS "only win if we start reacting out of fear." Obama also told CBS that when he promised "no boots on the ground" in the fight against ISIS, that Americans understood him to mean no "battalions," and not that he wouldn't send any troops there at all. "When I said 'no boots on the ground,' I think the American people understood generally we are not going to do an Iraq-style invasion of Iraq or Syria with battalions that are moving across the desert," Obama said in another clip CBS aired Thursday.
  13. I agree about Myers. I wouldnt trade Myers or Trouba. If New York wants to get Hamonic to Winnipeg, they will have to accept that they wont get their "replacement". I'd trade Buff as a UFA and then the deal would have to expand from there ofcourse.
  14. You're still just scraping snow off the top of the mountain. The root of the problem are all the weapons and armoured vehicles being sold to wealthy countries in the Middle East. And North American support for governments who suppress minorities. Fight the battles we can win.
  15. Yup. What a joke. The easiest thing in the world is to immediately stop sale of these weapons. Period. Im pretty ******* sure the founding fathers didnt intend for Americans to get their hands on assault rifles. Secondly, they have to stop being wishy washy on terrorism. And people need to be told its okay to report suspicions. Its not racial profiling to find suspicious activity by any specific ethnicity or religion to actually be suspicious.
  16. I figured they'd save Doomsday for the Justice League films. I kept pushing an idea years ago, before Superman Returns came out. They should have had the film open with news reports of Superman vs Doomsday (no explanation needed at that point, in keeping with how the news would really cover it). CGI of the fight between Doomsday and Christopher Reeves' Superman. Fight ends as in the comic except Superman doesnt immediately die. He is gravely injured. You can use Christopher Reeves as the crippled Superman doing his farewell to Lois etc and then dying. When reborn, he looks different as he did in the comic. Thought it would have been a cool way to use CR one last time. I agree about Jesse. I cant stand him. He is the same in all his films and the most annoying prick. Snyder worries me because he just seems to not really "get" the characters. Man of Steel was just awful from the get go.
  17. Which can be said about most mass shootings in the US that are committed by US citizens.I think you know what ISO meant.CNN falling all over themselves to avoid suggesting radical Islamic terrorism. Even contradicting their own intelligence analysis. Compared to the US media falling all over themselves to avoid calling other mass shootings terrorism because they were committed by white Christian men. When a Christian male kills and injures co-workers it's called a workplace shooting but when a Muslim kills and injures co-workers it is automatically brings on calls of terrorism before any facts are known (network intelligence analysis is pure speculation). Can you point to a shooting done by Muslims that was in the news that didn't end up being terrorism? It's common sense. On the other hand, the "Christian" males pretty much always end up being very much not Christian. Christ taught love and respect. Muhammed taught war, slavery and death. Not to mention that Christianity is an easy target. I doubt CNN would have any trouble blaming a person's radical Christian beliefs in the same way they kept reiterating that this attack was not terrorism. They had their own intelligence analyst report that it had all the earmarks of terrorism with details as to why he feels that way and then it cuts back to the studio where the anchor immediately says "ofcourse, we cannot say this is terrorism." Okay, I get it. But that should be the most obvious investigative road you'd go down. There was a report that a neighbor of this killer grew suspicious of him and activity going on at the apartment but was afraid to report it because he didnt want to be seen as racially profiling.
  18. Im waiting for the day they get really organized. I dont know if there is speculation on numbers, but lets assume there are a number of people in the US right now who are either directly or indirectly affiliated with ISIS and/or the radical Islamic movement who see it as their service to their God to attack and kill civilians...and we see how easy it was for these two. Legally bought assault rifles, home made bombs. Military fatigues. No problem. What if everyone who wants this chose a day and attacked at once? All across America. Its going to happen.
  19. I guess wanting to fight terrorism and wanting stricter gun laws are mutually exclusive. Its really a weird dynamic. The left wants gun control. The right wants radical Islamic control. Both serve a similar purpose especially when it pertains to attacks like this. But neither side wants to step outside its own biased political box. The right will say "this has nothing to do with guns. These were terrorists bent on killing us and would do it no matter what. They had bombs and we dont sell bombs to Americans." The left will say "this has nothing to do with Islam. Its about crazies getting assault rifles. We must control the guns and this will never happen". Both are wrong. Both are right. The good news is, Obama contained ISIS a couple of weeks ago. Imagine if he hadnt?
  20. The most glaring issue with the announcing was how they watched several replays of Kadri try to check Myers, fall down and draw a penalty and STILL insisted it "has to be called".
  21. I think this issue has proven more than that, namely that Trudeau is a giant hypocrite. Which should be a surprise to no one.I think that you are the last person on these board to be calling anyone out for being a hypocrite. .. due to you calling everyone out for disrespecting harper and making a huge stink about respecting the PM and his office, yet all I see in your post is shiny-pony this sunny family that, entitled brat this. Your **** is old, get new material and try to contribute in a respectful and meaningful way. You have good, legit arguments- but your delivery is dreadful- like a poorman's brian lily. I disagree with you that I am the last person on these boards to be calling anyone out for being a hypocrite, being that Justin Trudeau just proved he is a giant hypocrite. Who cares who calls him out on it, he is one. You just don't have the balls to do it, because your **** is old too. This "material" is brand new. You are just mad that your boy is getting called out, finally And he should be called out, as he made a terrible decision. And you better get used to it. This is just the tip of the iceberg. You can crap on me with stupid comments like this, or you can knuckle down, and accept that you are now on the other side of the fence now. Attack me all you want, but its how it is now. You are playing defense, trying to defend a guy who obviously has no political acumen whatsoever. Embrace it, or shut the hell up. Somebody's cranky. I intend to fully embrace watching you & TUP get bent out of shape over every minor issue that pops up for the new government. I hope their kids get a puppy so they can hire a 3rd nanny to watch it too. Sort of proving the point. If you actually get some sort of pleasure at watching people discuss negative issues pertaining to someone you support and perceive that as being "bent out of shape", then its more a commentary on you and the people KBF was referring to. I suppose this could be considered a non-issue. But you'd have to stop telling us message board people and start telling pretty much ALL the media in the nation who have been covering it. Are they bent out of shape too?
  22. This point wasnt lost on me. In the debate about how "This was terrorism and had nothing to do with lack of gun control". Uh, except at least one of those assault weapons was purchased legally. Why the **** does anyone need to buy an assault rifle? "Because its our right". Yeah sure it is.
  23. Which can be said about most mass shootings in the US that are committed by US citizens. I think you know what ISO meant. CNN falling all over themselves to avoid suggesting radical Islamic terrorism. Even contradicting their own intelligence analysis. Sort of a silly debate, no? I agree that, in a perfect world we dont rush to judgement. But as humans, we always rush to speculate. "Terrorism" in todays context refers to radical Islam. I think you know that. So why you would think a white Christian nutjob going on a killing spree would be called terrorism is sort of beyond me. It wouldnt be, at least in todays context of "Terrorism" unless he is doing it in the name of radical Islam. Terrifying, sure. Terrorism? No. And considering, even though CNN was trying like hell to avoid saying "Terrorism" (and we know CBC has a policy about use of the word, that CNN also had a presser from the Center for American-Islam relations. If the "white" media or pulbic was jumping to conclusions, the CAIR was also pretty quick to try and get in front of the story. Im not sure they'd care so much if it was a Christian shooter. So they must have thought there was a chance this would end up as "terrorism". The interesting blacklash I've noticed about this shooting is the right being angry at the left because the left was quick to make this a "guns" issue but as soon as it started looking like terrorism, they got pretty quiet.

  25. Funny ending. Yeah. I know if I was about to be vaporized by an indestructible alien I would joking. Seems closer to Batman & Robin than the Dark Knight. Hope I'm wrong but Snyder's Man of Steel was awful.
