  1. .... I guess every other player hitting each other on the field shoudl of got a penalty then. LOL
  2. Kuale will be gone, once O'Shea watches the tape and see they were all his fault, good bye Kuale.
  3. Bleh, I can tell already you haven't even played football. The refs have a huge affect on the outcome of many games, depending on just how influential the calls they mess up are. It just so happens intentionally not calling holding for one team through an entire game, has a huge impact on who can win or lose the game.
  4. Fixed by Refs, O'shea knows it, everybody knows it, some just don't want to admit because it's taboo to blame the refs. O'shea even sent in a long video presentation of the labour day game, I bet you he had the word "fixed", written on the tape. CFL should be embarrassed for allowing it to go on.
  5. No kidding, I hope he fell off of his motorcycle before writing that post.
  6. You must have watched a different game. Willy was pretty clean vs Montreal, nearly all of the sacks were coverage sacks. You can literally count the number of broken tackles by Grigsby in half a season on one hand. That is ridiculous. Running backs are supposed to battle for yards through contact. We have a guy who is great if he is untouched. I would be a great CFL RB too if you could guarantee that I'd be untouched. Big runs are good, but we won't have a consistent offense until we have a back who can consistently gain 4-5-6-7 yards each time he touches the ball. Exactly, our o-line actually played pretty darn good last game.
  7. He's only leading the league in rushing because other teams can't decide who they want as their running back or are suffering injuries. 1. Saskatchewan: Started off with Allen but switched just because of a couple of fumbles, then moved to Ford, then Messam. Add their stats up and you're at 692 rush yards in 125 attempts for 5.5 yard average. 2. B.C.: Enjoying the successful tandem of Harris and Logan They combine for 786 yards in 147 carries for a 5.3 yard average. 3. Edmonton Same thing for Edmonton with their running John White back showing off 334 yards in 51 carries for a 6.5 yard average. Oh and if you add in Kendial Lawrence then they combine for 558 yards in 79 carries and a 7.07 yard average. 4. Calgary Suffered an injury to their star running back Cornish. No doubt in my mind he'd be leading the league right now if not injured. Then there is TO, they are just a pass first type of offense, however their rush game is still much better than ours. With their running back currently showing off 332 yards in 57 carries for a 5.8 yard average. The rest of the teams, their offense has been so shitty and inconsistent that it makes sense that their rushing totals would be behind ours. With all this said, give your head a shake if you think Grigsby leading the league in rushing actually proves he's doing a good job. I would have cut or traded him yesterday already. If running backs are a dime a dozen, god knows why we're so content on sticking with a < 5 yard per avg running back. Completely unacceptable. Biggest point of this post is, our running back is not deserving of being #1 and our running game absolutely freaking stinks compared to the top 3 teams on my list above and we should be making a bigger deal of Grigsby remaining the #1 back then we are.
  8. lots of people, heck I am still mad about us cutting bowman.
  9. Keyword: "Improved" - He was already doing all those things well. For me it's very tough to pick three things that showed positively last game. Was just expecting so much more out of every player. - I can single out Denmark for playing great and the fact that we still can complete big plays, but beyond that... nothing.
  10. Drew Willy did nothing that showed he improved last game.
  11. nevermind, thought it directed his head at his knees, but it was his thighs.
  12. not exactly a week considering he was the same for the majority of the montreal game.
  13. For every play he was rushed and had actual pressure on him there was 3 where he had no pressure but simply didnt see the field well and did squat. So many of those he had big time daylight to take the ball down and run down field. Instead he tried forcing the air game because he was failing to see how wide open the field was in front of him, also seemed scared to take it down and run.
  14. The jfg play was 100% on willy, he had all day to throw to a receiver that was 25 yards wide open and still missed his mark. He rushed the throw and did not put enough air on the ball. Matter of fact all game he was slow at reading the field and played way more scared than necessary. Kind of looked like the bombers(offense) already believed their hype and spent more of the week partying than practicing.
  15. I think woods is overall still a better punt returner than Washington even without the ball security issues. I hate his hesitant pause after he catches the ball... It doesn't seem like much time, but when you have professional football players running at full speed that one second is a lot more ground covered than you think. However, both Washington and cotton are better kick returners Really? I think one of the reasons(aside from hsi speed and instincts) he breaks returns more often then then the rest of our returners is he hesitates the least when he is catching the ball, however this is also one of the reasons he drops it so much. He tries to time everything so perfectly all the time in order to hit the big return, but in doing so it's a lot harder to consistently catch the ball and not lose it. Just too bad he struggles to catch the ball and hold onto it, otherwise he'd be a pretty amazing returner, he struggles in the same area as a DB, so many times he should have had interceptions that he's just flat out dropped.
  16. Even with the 2 drops last night, he's still done more good for our team returning than he has bad. I dunno, I just hate watching boring returners. As evidenced by Keith Stokes still being one of my favorite returners, but his ball security was horrible.
  17. Wow just wow, he has an off play and all of a sudden he's not good enough.
  18. Washington has had way more than 1 great return, he has hardly returned at all in the past and has what, 4 TDs returning? It'd would have been idiotic to at least not try to find out what he can do as a full time returner. Now we know he drops too many balls, so we can put him back to the occasional return. and I doubt Grigsby would be a very good punt returner. The catching punts thing didn't help, but we were also struggling to do anything offensively for the majority of the 2nd half, probably had a lot to do with Aaron Kelly playing injured. We were just lucky to find a way to get a few big plays off. The struggles offensively against a very good defense were more of a factor of Montreal staying in the game then 2 plays. Still impressed with the offense though, good hard fought win with a banged up o-line and receiving corps.
  19. Every back will miss a block or two a game, can't see everbody every time.
  20. Pierce had 706 yards by game 3 last season and the team had 8 touchdowns by game 3. We didn't start out all that bad. Once we lost Pierce though it all went to hell Maybe true if you ignore time of possession, first downs and ability to sustain drives.
  21. Looks to be used to getting into the end zone and great at tracking down the ball in the air. Decently fast but doesn't seem to have any Pinball Clemons, Keith Stokes or Gizmo Williams like moves. All the records he has broke seemed to be in returning but he looked like a better CFL receiver then returner.
  22. Actually the last two years have proven to use he has no business playing football anymore. He's not half the football player he was 3-4 years ago.
