  1. refs shouldnt be nitpicking any team, but they are. Its not just incompetence.
  2. He clearly has enough `time` to make the throws or he wouldn't consistently be putting up 300 yard games. Grigsby plays like his shoes are one size too big. As far as our receivers are concerned we needat least one tough big bodied receiver that can carry guys on his back for yards and can block consistently well.
  3. Just have to keep it real, hate when people say crap about somebody then back out. How about just don't say crap about somebody to begin with.
  4. He said he needs to get a clue He then tried to cite another instance that had nothing to do with this thread and use it as an example that kpt as no clue Then said the creation of this thread was beyond stupidity. Pretty clear to me he was not attacking the thread or discussing anything, but rather attempting to attack the credibility of kpt with an insult thrown in... Then when called out he tried playing with his words and backing out...
  5. and he got the win, didn't he? What point are you trying to make? Me - ONE and SIX What did Collaros do to actually contribute to that win? Pretty sure their only touchdown came off of a blocked punt followed by a blown assignment in the run defence that was a 20+ yard TD from Madu. We gave up 5 sacks and had 15 penalties for 130 yards. The fact that we even had a chance to win this game shows the QB Willy is. If we were to get six wins all season, back in June people would have taken that easily considering our roster and record from last year. The team we see now is the team we are. We exceeded expectations at the start. There are holes on this roster in terms of Canadians, receiver depth, and the offensive and defensive line. We'll get there. Quarterback is not in any way, shape, or form the issue on this team. My point - You need to get a clue, because you have none. Remember the thread about keeping Renaud? You proved your knowledge of this football team in that thread considering he can't kick off or kick field goals, nevermind the creation of this thread which quite frankly goes beyond stupidity. Really Mr. P. 9 Td's in 12 games, and 11 int's, if you want to talk stats. Only stat I care about are wins and loses. You are so smart you dissed me about Crompton remember. Don't look now but Crompton is only TWO wins behind Willy. I could care less about stats though - it's wins. And Willy is 5 and 1, now 1 and 6. I have the clue you don't. And don't call me stupid it's an opinion mr arrogant Actually if you take the time to READ what I said, I said this thread was stupid. I never said you we're stupid.actually every item you referenced and the way you put your post together you pretty much called him stupid, you know it, i know it we all know it. Play with words all you want.
  6. I don't disagree but that time count was inexcusable and you can't expect to win a game when you score 11 points. You score 11 points when you take 15 penalties for 120 yards. As for the timecount, considering this, what would you have liked him to do...? Darrin Bauming ‏@DarrinBauming 4m O'Shea says Willy couldn't hear play call, which lead to timecount violation on second and goal in final seconds. #Bombers Call his own play. exactly last thing i need is more excuses
  7. its not bellefielle that threw incredibly stupid interceptions vs ssk and its not belle who piised the last three plays of our game today.
  8. Don't think that game could of went any better than it did! Thank you Eskimos! John White is awesome and I love him for spending the entire 4th quarter laughing at the Riders.
  9. Then you throw in the drives Romby has stopped by completely running the wrong route and you realize how much of an epic failure he has been here and wonder why he's even still on the team. There is actually a couple games we probably would of won if he was simply never signed.
  10. Kelly has been better than Moore and Watson and better than Matthews would be this year or was last year. Sure Moore has slightly more yards in less games, but he also plays slot and should have more yards. Not to mention, has some boneheaded drops, couple fumbles and no TDs. For a guy who is supposed to be our big time #1 receiver, he's done a pretty bad job of it so far. Kelly on the other hand has played wide out better than most of the wide outs in the league this year. One thing that would desperately help is a bonafide every down NI receiver than can play more than 8-9 games a year, really screws up the chemistry when you have a guy that is meant to get lots of touches but doesn't due to constantly being out of the lineup.
  11. You want battle level, look no further than Damon Allen, his Grey Cups were no fluke. You can take all the Calvillo's you want, but in the end if we're talking CFL with this wide open field and all the running room in the world for a QB, I'd prefer Damon Allen in his prime any day of the week. But sad truth is, almost nobody can do what he did as well as he did it throughout his career, just too bad more people don't have the ability to fully appreciate what he accomplished.
  12. I've already explained, despite his drops, he is currently the most reliable receiver in the league. It's not even really a debate, it's just the cold hard facts, if you want an opportunity to get a big play he is your man, if you want to waste a play targetting players that can't even work their way open and let your QB get sacked or have to throw the ball away or throw it 2 yards on 2nd 10 and proceed to watch the receiver not even get close to the first down, then be my guest. With the game on the line, I'd rather take the small risk that he fumbles or drops the ball then the huge risk that we don't even get the play off at all, period. You also state it like Bowman might get 1 big play a game if he's lucky and if he drops the ball then he pisses away that one big play. Truth is he's practically guaranteed multiple big plays each game whether he drops the ball or not, he's not pissing away the one big play his team can get a game, he's getting more big plays than any of his teammates, almost every single game. It's not even just big plays, he's helping his team throughout the entire game, consistently getting first downs and receptions throughout the entire game. This season alone, he's on pace for more receptions then Ben Cahoon ever got in a season, that's saying something, and what it's saying is definitely not negative. The other thing he does, unlike Ben Cahoon is he takes5-6 yard catches and consistently turns them into 15-20 yard gains by dragging would be tacklers like they are little fleas. No other receiver in the league can currently do what he does. That is the big picture.
  13. Except he's currently being relied on more than any other player in the league and he's currently producing more than any other player in the league. You have to look at the big picture! Even the year we got rid of him, sure he dropped some of the easiest balls ever, but he DID NOT and was not leading our team in drops when we dumped him. Fact is no other player in the league gets as open as he does as often as he does, which is one of the reason is drops so many more wide open balls than other receviers.
  14. It does matter. If the game is on the line will he make the catch? Reliability matters big time at all positions. No, no it doesn't matter because the game wouldn't even be on the line to begin with if it wasnt' for him. Edmonton would be crap without him, he's the biggest difference maker on that team right now. Even the year the Bombers stupidly got rid of him, he was far and away our best receiver. Heck, it wasn't even close, sure he sometimes drops the easiest balls, but he's also going to break more tackles, catch more balls and get open more than anybody. He's downright scary to defend when he stays healthy: Currently he has 81 receptions, closest guy in the league has 50. Most Pass Receptions, one season Derrell Mitchell (1998) 160 Allen Pitts (1994) 126 Don Narcisse (1995) 123 Michael Clemons (1997) 122 Allen Pitts (1991) 118 Adarius is on pace this season for 121.5 pass receptions. That would give him the 5th best season ever in the CFL, not bad for somebody known for dropping balls.... He currently has 36% of Edmonton's receiving/passing yardage, the next closest recevier is Emmanual Arceaneaux who has only 24% of his teams receiving/passing yardage. 12% difference! HUGE! - Bow down to Adarius Bowman! Currently, he also has 1,048 yards, next best in the league has 734. That puts him on pace for 1572 yards, and 314 yards ahead of the next guy in the race, which is more than any receiver had the last 2 years and more than any receiver aside from himself will get this year. Edmonton cutting him would be even more stupid then us cutting Willy for sometimes doing the most boneheaded throws ever.(eg. some of the interceptions he gifted the Riders, those weren't simply rookie QB mistakes, those were idiocy) But sometimes when everythign is on the line, really smart people can do really stupid things, so you have to take the good with the bad and move on.
  15. Wasn't just injuries that had an effect on Chris last year, he didn't seem to have the same attitude or will to play for us anymore, cost him both in his training, recovery and overall production. Need more guys like Dressler in this league that just want to play football and give it their all every single down.
  16. Willy is not even close to comparable to Buck, Willy healthy through college and healthy through the pros, Willy is a true athlete. Sure ther eis freak injuries that can happen, but number one thing I look for to tell how good a players instincts, genetics and work ethic are, is how often he gets injured or stays healthy. One freak injury that keeps you out awhile is no big deal, **** happens, but a bunch of small injuries that keep happening over and over and over again, is a pretty good indicator that pro sports just weren't meant for you.
  17. Need a Chris Matthews type that doesn't suck after 1 year, and I dont' care if he got injured, he still sucked when he did try to play.
  18. Doesn't matter how much he drops if he still does more than 99 percent of the receivers in this league can even dream of doing.
  19. Hang around and capitalize on the refs gifts.
  20. It's a conspiracy I tells ya! What brand of tinfoil do you use? truth telling kind.
  21. without refs help than are 3-9 easy.
  22. We already know what Elliott's got. Nothing. Could of said the same thing about Calvillo at this point in his career. So far I've seen way more good in Elliott than bad, he just got shafted by having to work with morons here. Put him at a disadvantage for when he went to B.C., he would of had to unlearn the bad attitude our team forced on him and he would then have to unlearn the bad things our team taught him.
  23. If you can call it blocking then all the power to you.
