But the Riders have one thing we didn't in 2013...
-
You know what though, in a way it has to me. Yeah, if the Bombers have a W when the clock shows 0:00, doesn't matter to me how that came to be. But it isn't just the wins, the last 3 games this has looked like a downright competent football team. I was at the Calgary game at IGF and it was men against boys for 90% of the game. To me it's been the little things, such as Nichols doing a quick fake to the man swinging out of the backfield then hitting Denmark in the back of the endzone against Hamilton. It is very encouraging to see the Bombers put the boots to someone after being on the other end of it so very many times recently...

Winnipeg comfortably leads the league in takeaways. Sure, it would be damn near impossible to keep going at this clip, but the fact the team is causing turnovers is no accident. And let's keep in mind that the "backup" QBs we've feasted on are a mere 4-1 when playing opponents other than the Blue.

I mean, would it have killed him to break 5 or 6 league rules in the process?

Happy birthday Knuckles. Simply the best.

Exactly. The teams that have vultured us for years playing backups that never amounted to anything didn't seem too broken up about it. Is it really a win if your opponent had Justin Goltz under center? Past years standings say yes.

Advice needed on how to create a CFL fan
Y2C replied to TrueBlue4ever's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
Absolutely. Sure the players are better, they get paid 5x more (or higher). But how can anyone honestly say the NFL game itself is "better? As stated, in the NFL dull stretches are plentiful to say the least but it's never more evident than after a touchdown. Ever since they moved up the kickoffs, get hyped because the next 8 minutes without fail include commercials, the ball being kicked through the back of the endzone, more commercials. FOOTBALL!!!!!!! Even the players skill difference is overrated by NFL fanboys. Sure they're head and shoulders better when all they watch are the marquee games. Watch a Jags-Browns game and tell me about the majestic display of football ability you can only get from the National Football League! -
Let's put the shoe on the other foot for a moment. Every time they showed a replay from the Bomber offense's perspective the Cats had amazing coverage on everyone. If Willy had been going downfield tonight just for the sake of it he'd have in all likelihood been picked at some point and dramatically turned the game. Hamilton's secondary was on their A game tonight and are still going to bed as losers. Nice to be on the other side of that for a change...

Win or lose, I'll always bleed blue and gold!

Good stuff! Keep supporting the team even when it isn't "cool" to do so. The people that become life long diehards when the team's doing well and are gone when there's any adversity are the worst. -

Question For Anyone Who Has Purchased Heritage Classic Tickets
Y2C replied to Y2C's topic in Winnipeg Jets Discussion
Oh, for sure I understand that. It's just that my buddy and my season tickets (side-by-side but separate accounts) got emails indicating 1 ticket available to purchase. Now does that just mean we get the one ticket per season seat? We have always understood that would be the case, that's not the problem. Our concern is that we'll only be able to purchase a lone seat on each account rather than side-by-side using one of them. Thanks for any help guys. Honestly True North is typically great on an overall level, but this whole process has been a nightmare. Just from hearing the issues of people that have already gone through the ticket buying experience to fruitlessly trying and trying to get through to ticket reps for days just to get any sort of clarification on things. Apparently they don't work weekends... Even if it happens to be the company's busiest time of the year by far. Hey, can I get that deal too?! No? Aw shucks. -
Read a bit of the thread and wow, just... wow. Geeze Mike, when will you ever get it through your skull that upper body strength is slightly important when it comes to playing tackle effectively?!
