CFL Draft Prospect Rankings
Want to see Lavertu as we need to upgrade the NI OL and the fact that he's a natural centre is huge. After that would be nice to nab a second rounder and a DL/LB or Coombs.

Jets Etc.
I think playing a weak division for two years has too many fans thinking this team is a playoff team. It's not close. Still have too many Thrashers.

CFL Stuff..
Hey let Hamilton go with Lefevour. Not impressed by him so far.

NFL tryouts
I have a bad feeling he goes elsewhere in the CFL.

Bombers hire Queens DC Pat Tracey as Special Teams Coordinator
I like this one. Experienced coach. Successful. Knows the Canadian game. Likely has good ties to the CIS (Helpful when it comes to building our nis).
-
Miles or Marshall...
What's with Miles that he'd pass up being a DC to be a DB coach? Oh and Rider fans are douches.

CFL Stuff..
Depends on the cost of Tate. Guy is glass.

Miles or Marshall...
Never, Burke is firmly in the Reinbold class.

Rate the Bombers Offensive Line
JBR, who would you want on our line in 2014 using who we have, the draft and potential free agents. Asking because you offer pretty good insights on the position.

Miles or Marshall...
Miles would be my pick. Already have an uninspiring choice as DC.

Like this move. Sadly think it'll be feb before we know about Henoc.
-
Pat DelMonaco
Glad he's gone.

Alouettes extend Troy Smith...
I like Troy Smith. As for Hamilton picking up Collaros, why? If they dump Burris, wouldn't they go with Lefevaour? If they do, would anybody else take Burris with Wiley?

Bombers sign Lirim Hajrullahu
Nice move by the front office.

Stubler New Stamps Defensive Coordinator
Sucks but Miles would be ok imo.

Matt Nichols back with Edmonton
Nichols has been too injury prone in his short time in the CFL.

Marcel Bellefeuille named Bombers OC
I don't like the hire any more than you do, I just don't think Montreal is the best representation of his work. I'd be more hesitant to buy in thanks to his average results in Hamilton. That's a good point. I wasn't impressed with his offenses in any of his 3 stops.

Marcel Bellefeuille named Bombers OC
Mike, I guess why I'm harping on Montreal and Marcel is people here saying don't judge him on last year and to me he didn't do well with some pretty good talent (although as you say, they did lack a running game and the OL was awful). But I think I'm going to stop. Wish they had hired somebody else but he's here so will hope for the best.

Marcel Bellefeuille named Bombers OC
Jacquie, bad or not, Flory is a better OL than anybody on our roster. My point is that despite having a hall of fame QB, a hall of fame sb, a hall of fame OG, a wr who had multiple 1000 yard seasons and a running back who had over a 1000 yards, Marcel had an offense that scored the second fewest points in the CFL. Remember how bad he made A.C. look in 07? He made a QB who was able to make three straight grey cup games, a qb who won 2 grey cups, who still had 2 MOP seasons look done.

Marcel Bellefeuille named Bombers OC
As has been pointed out, MB was OC in Montreal in 2007 - the year AC left the team to be with his wife while she was battling cancer and the year they had Charlie Carpenter as oline coach and the Als oline gave up the most sacks by far (65). A.C. played in over two thirds of the game that year (13). That OL had among other perenial all-star and potential hall of famer Scott Flory. A.C., Cahoon, Watkins, Edwards, Flory is a pretty good base of talent to work with. So you base his worth as an OC only based on being 7th in scoring, but choose to ignore the other facts. That's weak! Weak? his offense couldn't score with a hall of fame QB, hall of fame slotback, a perenial 1000 yard receiver and an OL that almost always an all-star and a likely hall of famer. Who gives a rat ass how many yards his offense got or that he had the rb with the most tds? Goal of an offense is to score points.

So who got bent over the worst by the Exp Draft?
Penton was one of the Sun Writers last year who didn't know the NI rule, specifically that an Aussie (Bartel) is a NI, so I take what he says with a grain of salt. That said, he is correct right now that Ottawa is better at QB than us, debatable at NI.
