  1. I agree again.. If i don't check in a few times a day and i have something to add i'm not going to add it if its 2 pages back.. the discussion is hard to keep up. I read alot of internet content for work and for pleasure but the current format isn't very good for keeping up on currently developments in signings/releases/news and thus drives away people from the site. I used OB alot more as it was easy to see on the main page the latest goings on and focused discussions. But i also realize that its not gonna change so i go other places first and come here after. In on click i can scan for the latest news about different clubs and then click on the links to read the stories.. OB had alot more post from media sources.
  2. Yup... I can;t disagree. The one thread fo all news means i have to read alot to catch up. reddit.com/r/cfl keeps my updated quickly and easily.. I still come for the discussion.. but not news.
  3. Calgary and Ottawa have two games broadcast, while Edmonton, Toronto and Winnipeg get nothing.. https://www.cfl.ca/2019/05/23/watch-2019-cfl-pre-season-broadcast-schedule/
  4. i like that the season is starting earlier. May is a great time for football to start
  5. Isn't Rielly a free agent? If u can get him then u do it and then let Nichols go. Otherwise u wait till someone steals the job from him. Or did we really not learn anything after Glenn? I get the disappointment in a loss but give your heads a few hard shakes. I rather be in the west final with a chance to win in the fourth vs losing a bunch of games and missing the playoff untill we find a QB that wins. Cuase as far as I see it, sask, Montreal, Toronto all show what its like to play without a good QB. I don't want to be like them
  6. They can sign 20 QBs if they want as there is no cost for cutting them:).
  7. Through in your significant other and I with disrespect both of you
  8. We should sign/trade for Duron Carter and put him at QB. Then let him get sacked on every play until he can no longer talk. won't help beat Calgary, but it would be entertaining that i wont care if we win or loose.
  9. 17to85 being as welcoming as always to newcomers.
  10. I guess you and i approach life in different ways.. I approach people as they are telling the truth and are genuine until they show otherwise and genrally accepting. You know the whole, grow the community by being inclusive? You apparently assume the opposite which is kinda sad. if this is someone trolling, then go on the attack when they reveal them self or have the whole thread deleted. It funny how the same approach is taken with other bomber fans that are "trolls" because they have different opinions from up north. You keep being you bud.
  11. Dude.. You are a tool. Another Fan from the league starts a thread about how good of a team he thinks we have and that its showing itself to be a rising star and as much as it hurts him to say he thinks they are one of the better (best) teams in the league. You don't know if he ever bought into the Jones shows. For rider fans you bash your should stop and look in the mirror and see you are the bomber equivalent here. Maybe take a break for the forum for a bit. He didn't say one thing negative about our team or even bring up anything about his team and you go ******* mental on him Thanks for derailing a perfectly fine thread. Idiot.
  12. Attendance could also be dropping as there are some pretty horrible teams in the league and there has been for a couple of years.
  13. Might be more about people enjoy the CFL but rather watch it at home since nothing is blacked out anymore. I sure like watching it at home then being at the game as i miss so much between plays and the "experts" analyzing things for me and keying in on things i can't see where i'm sitting in the stands or i missed. I like hockey, but i don't really watch it that much. There are so many games to watch and so little time with younger families. I enjoy watching hockey live in the arena though as you are close, and can see everything and the game flows. Still prefer the CFL, but i don't know how you get other people to buy in. Maybe lower prices and offer free tickets that are empty anyhow. I don't know if that would be enough to get people to go.
  14. I may be in the minority here, but i tend to enjoy watching the games on tv more. Maybes its because i get the replays, and having adhd, the production team focuses my attention on the plays then my mind does looking around the stadium. The stadium is great but its a very long bus ride from east st paul, and i don't mind the drive, but my son wants to take the bus as it is fun. But taking the bus means we don't get to go on the field after the game which i realize is the main reason he even wants to go to a bomber game with me in the first place as all the buses will have left before we get kicked off the field. The few times i have driven it was easy to get in and out after the game but thats most likely because i'm on the field and the crowds are mostly gone. I also can Work from home, on the couch, watching the game while remotely fixing servers /vmware/switches while getting paid a lot. So.. it normally wins. The other reason i tend to go to only one game a year is because the price for tickets, drinks (pop), popcorn, plus other snacks plus a souvenier get pretty price for 3 hours of fun with my son. Now. I could sit in the endzone, which would make it cheaper, but then its harder to see and less enjoyable. But when looking at the cost, its about the same price to drive to the family cottage, with food, snacks, gas for the acadia, gas for the fishing boat and i get 3 days of fun with my Wife, Daughter, and the dog. I'm sure most people on this board would call me a causal fan for it, but i read every article that i can find about the cfl, active on reddit sub forums, Listen to 1290 pregame, cjob post game and watch as many cfl games as i can squeeze in and never missed a bomber game in the past 10 years (radio, tv, or at the stadium). TL;DR, if the stadium was at polo park it would be a shorter bus ride, but, it wouldn't change how often i actually show up to the stadium to watch.
  15. Nice article on Santos-Knox's road to becoming a bomber. https://www.middletownpress.com/sports/article/Xavier-grad-Jovan-Santos-Knox-thriving-as-CFL-13111648.php
  16. Fair. But their Oline has been porous all year, so i think you are expecting too much from Him. Collaras et all had the same issues. We complained about how horrible our o-line was for years and was the main cause of horrible QBing, along with horrible QBs. But IF Bridge et all had alot more time behind an o-line like ours, he wouldn't have to panic after the first read or two were covered. I have no interest in him coming here, but, i wouldn't say hes a write off based solely on the horrible team he is playing behind. Yet they are .500
  17. Sir, you are missing what and exceptional DB/HB he would be.
  18. Wow. The argos look to have lost some key players this week while we may be getting some back. Should be a blow out. but i'm not counting on it.
  19. Thanks for the insight. In Vanvcouver it sounds like they are making a push to get more fans in the stand with reduced ticket prices/buddy tickets. Assuming the ammount of concession sales should offset some of this (if they get the proceeds). Just a tad worrisome for me seeing the only real sports league i really enjoy.. I like hockey, but the 80 game time commitment is hard with a young family. My son loves bomber games, mainly so he can run around on the field afterwards.
