  1. The clock stops between plays, he was pretty far down field from his team and they were going to be kicking.
  2. I honestly don't think our DBs problem is tackling/physical play...like not even close. I've seen Holm tackle the RB, as far as I've seen our DBs have not been whiffing on tackles. Like at all. The problem is they are having to tackle too much. Coverage has been the issue. Holm has far and away been our best cover guy outside of Houston. If we're relying on our field side HB to make plays on the RB...that's a problem, full stop. He's going to have to from time and time that's just football, and he has. But I completely disagree that Holms has somehow been a liability more so than any other DB outside of Houston.
  3. Watching the replay on TV, the tip of the ball absolutely hit the ground. How that wasn't reviewed by the command centre is still a mystery to me.
  4. Maybe the single worse game I've seen Mr.Bryant play as a Bomber. He was getting burnt all game long. People talking about the Defense etc etc...who didn't perform like we're used to in years past. But we all talked about how that's how this team was going to be this year. 30+ points would be needed more often than not. This loss is 100% on the offense. More specifically on the Olines pass protection. And I'll even throw Buck under the bus a bit as the play calling was bland and didn't help the protection issues going on all night. Not sure why that happens, but it was frustrating to watch. That deep pass to Schoen that was just out of reach when he had 2 steps on Sayles...it was a double move and for whatever reason, we he came out of his stop, he slowed down and then realized the ball was on the way. If he runs hard like he normally does, that's 6 points. Dunigan even commented on him slowing down after the replay.
  5. Pretending if TO just had a superstar player, they would suddenly become popular in TO is a losing strategy that's been tried multiple times with actual NFL superstars lol. It also removes the responsibility of the pos owners who do nothing to promote that team. There are good ways to grow fan bases and the Argos have tried none of them. If everything goes perfectly, and Kelly becomes the face of the CFL, like speedflex said, he's gone before the CFL execs can blink. That's who they want to tie a new market to?
  6. I'd argue Kelly is barely recognizable outside of most fairly hardcore football fans. And the CFL will very likely still have to make something out of VA and schiltz as Kelly played one game with some lucky bounces that went his way. I'm not at all a believer. Kelly will make TO as relevant as McBeth did. Take that to the bank.
  7. The key is getting pressure and containing. If they contain but don't get pressure it won't matter. The trick with Collaros is doing both, not just one.
  8. https://twitter.com/ThoughtsNations/status/1671743885129961472 A "vote for the good of the economy" (Which it actually won't be, but we've been down that road) and vote to ignore your own peoples history!
  9. Why do you insist on saying this about polls? You know they don't ask every voting age Canadian lol. It makes any point you're trying to make laughable.
  10. It's honestly impressive how often this happens.
  11. He was a keynote speaker at a conference I went to back in the day. It was fantastic!
  12. It's honestly never been a problem for us. Have missed maybe a couple of home games throughout the 16 yrs...but I honestly can't remember. I am missing this weeks game because of her....ok well...it's because I got her pregnant...and then 9 yrs later that kid wanted to play flag football, which happened to be on thursdays and the head coach is on holidays so i'm filling in....I can blame her right? lol
  13. that's one strategy, I told my Wife on our first date that I bleed blue and gold and she assumed I was joking...she quickly figured it out though. 16 yrs in and shes maybe gone to 3 home games with me (one only because our son was playing flag pre-game). She's watched a few on TV with me but only when she has nothing else to do.
  14. That Gizmo one is good. But Grants was better imo. IMO Grant had to do a lot more work. In the article Gizmo talks about how the other team didn't tackle well...but in that video of his return, he literally went right into like 2 guys arms lol. He just ran straight ahead and guys missed him/didn't wrap up. Grant made more guys miss and broke tackles with stiff arms AND had to run sideline to sideline AND had to make a guy miss near the end of the run. It's actually not only my opinion that Grant's was better....it's fact.
  15. I know for a fact that Walters spends a good chunk of his off season helping the scouts in person all over NA. He does plenty of scouting himself. Losing him would be huge.
  16. My comment was related to the comments about the lack of production from certain rec, after too games of dominant offensive football.
  17. Honestly, I'm getting a lot of second hand embarrassment from those posts. Can only shake my head and laugh.
  18. What has Jones done since winning a grey cup with a team he didn't build? What about Ford? Is he hurt or something?
  19. Agreed. The one hit they talk about with #00 was a ticky tacky call at best and had zero impact on the play.
  20. If corny walks back out onto the field, Chris Jones should be left in BC.
  21. Did wpg give up a sack at all? I can't remember one...
