You're right that it's not the main reason the bombers lost. It certainly played a role though. Either way, its not something im ever going to coach a kid to do. And i would 100% pull my child from a team that thought this was a legit strategy. The fact that grown men do it (its been a long time since a team has done it to the extent the riders did) is honestly embarrassing, for them personally as well as the league. I can understand doing it one time to help restructure things, but multiple times...ive never been in a situation in my sporting life (all amatuer) were that would be a legit strategy. Im not even sure how/if you fix the rule. Its basically what pro sports has become, do whatever you can to win. Im being 100% honest. Bombers pull that stunt multiple times in a game, id be disgusted win or lose. Rider fans obviously feel a bit more ok with it as the game went their way. However there's not a chance any of them can say its a good way to play any sport. At any level. "I faked an injury so we could win a game" multiple players from the 2017 riders can say that about the LDC. I honestly feel sorry for those "men".

yes they did. While the DT's where on the field. C johnson had a solid game. To be fair Westerman had the lone sack....but it was while Nevis was on the field.

I've been saying this for the past few weeks. The bombers are not playing their best football yet. And that's exactly what you want for the first half of the year. Now is the time to see if I was right or wrong. I obviously believe I was right,and think that they start turning in dominating performances on all 3 teams. Which includes 7 points instead of 3 from the O and more 2 and outs from the D. No long punt/kickoff returns for opponents etc etc you get the idea. The same can be said for SSK. Have they peaked? Or are they just getting their feet under them? We won't know for another few weeks. But if I'm a betting man, I'd bet they have shown all they can. Which isn't bad for a team in the 2nd year of a rebuild. I have zero faith in Glenn. And I'm not convinced the O line is as improved as others have said. And Duron will Duron eventually, either taking points off the board or yards etc etc. Too many times I've seen the hot team in the 1st half of the year be quieted come November. I honestly feel this Bomber team is different and still earning their stripes. Not sure SSK is in the same mind set.

Bc and edmonton did two things the same...didnt stick to the run and refused to check it down. Bombers excell at both. If the Poop starts in both games Im predicting a sweep. If not, we split. I honestly think hes that important to the defence. Need to get into glenns face early and often. Riders took advantage of bad play by both teams. Bc isnt as good as tsn wants them to be and edmonton has started to feel the reality of the injuries.

Our DE had solid pressure. Durant either rolled or stepped up and had all day. There was nothing coming up the middle all game long.

If the D showed anything last night, it's that Poop Johnson needs to be in the line up. Why Hall couldn't understand that 4 man pressure wasn't getting it done I don't get??? Send a blitz and something good happened...basically every time. Thomas just isn't enough up the middle. And I like Thomas a lot...but Poop Johnson gets a few sacks last night.
