I've never heard anyone say he isnt an accurate Qb...I dont see how anyone who has watched his body of work in the CFL could say that. Unless you just watch one specific play.
-
Huh??? I've never heard that before about Streveler...you're really going to hold one pass against him? (Dont worry about him hitting that play at least 2 other times this year....) A green as could be rookie playing in his first semi final?? Lol. Streveler needs more time. Nichols will give the team the luxury of allowing him to develop at the right pace. I'm still certain that Streveler will be the starting Qb instead of Nichols by week 5 or 6...and he will finish as the starter come November 2019. He doesnt need years. He needs reps. I remember when they signed him and he made the team, everyone was talking about his size and speed. Except Lapo and Oshea...they spoke about his mind. The kid is very smart. That's what has and what will speed up his progress.

I'd honestly feel better if they moved on from Couture. Neuf has proven himself to be very valuable. Not that couture hasnt, but not quite as much as neuf. Move on from couture, hopefully one of gray or spooner can take his spot.

Designated Mexican is not a part of any deal. This seems to be a rumour going around. I believe Arash (huge surprise there) was the first to mention it. But Every person involved in the league has denied this as something that would be a part of a deal...TV or otherwise.

Different game. Especially for QBs.

Reilly to BC. Jennings to SSK along with a new contract for Collaros. Bridge to Edmonton to back up/split time with Glenn Bo goes back to CGY and they get V Adams out of MTL...either via trade or FA...I'm not sure if he is a FA. Winnipeg stays put. Along with Ottawa, Hamilton and MTL TO goes with Franklin

I know the exact amount. Down to the square foot. But I'm not telling!!!
-
I'm not joking. It wouldn't have been that much. It really isn't that big of an issue to install before they laid the turf down. But sure, cheap out...it obviously didn't hurt the game or the image of that stadium in anyway.
-
That was due to the natural turf. They replaced it a few years ago now. They can't use that as an excuse. Should have spent some money on a heating system under it.

I like pretending I know what's going on behind the scenes too. So I'll drop my completely uneducated opinion. He should focus more energy on markets that time and time again, prove they dont want a cfl team....instead of markets that are so determined to be a part of the CFL they sell season tickets and have a team name before a team is even announced as a possibility in the next year. And he needs to start making up for the human element in football. No mistakes are acceptable. If a player gets hurt. There must be a flag/penalty/fine or he and the league clearly dont care. Anything that might bring this league any global exposure is far to close to the expansion of the 90s and must be stopped immediately.

And yet, both did exactly nothing this year. Woods is too much of an injury risk, and Taylor is still living off one good year. I honestly don't think I'd pursue either this off season.

It really is too bad about Moe. Fantastic play maker. Clutch. Shut down Sam and Safety. This is the type of stuff you never like to hear, but know is coming eventually. Good luck to him, and thanks for the memories Moe! On another note, I'd like to see the bombers move on from Demski. Or at the very least, have him in the z position and move Wolli inside. Poor ball security and lack of vision have become very apparent and were costly throughout the season and playoffs.
-
Fair enough. I read it as all 3 being separate. Though, Adams and Dressler were FA signings. Wolli has been coached up. But I do agree agree with the overall message. They haven't found that game breaker.
-
What team are you watching? They've literally had other GM's comment on how many FA's they sign. Our Scouting has brought in plenty of quality players as well. You are right about the WR's though. I'll give you that one.
-
HUH? Have you not seen the FA lists of every single team this year? Every team has a huge opportunity to improve their talent at basically every position.
-
I forgot that it matters who is playing. You're right, they actually mark it down on the GC. 2017 Grey cup champions - TORONTO ARGOS *but they played against a far superior team who choked* that's what's marked down in the record books!! lol.

That's a fantastic arm chair QB way of looking at things. Both short sighted and ignorant. The "excuses" balance out over time. Wouldas/couldas/shouldas too. Completely irrelevant to both sides of the argument. You are right that most fans only want wins, playoff or otherwise. Which this regime has given them. More than most other regimes in recent memory. The other, I'd argue, almost more important aspect is the culture. I have no direct insight, but the rumors aren't a secret that WPG was at one time a last resort option for both players and coaches. Our past shows just how true those rumors could be. Now all reports show this has completely flipped. How many times during previous regimes did we hear about how great of a team/coaching staff/culture etc etc is here. I honestly can't recall hearing that as often as I have in the past two years. It's constantly talked about. That WILL and HAS brought players in. Players who have helped get the team to where it is. Not winning the cup...which is one game...has as much to do with getting lucky as it does with being talented enough. Ask CGY. If it's used as the only measuring stick when looking at making serious changes, you will eventually end up with the mess the bombers are currently just getting out of. So sure, be smug and arrogant while you talk about how most fans/this regime only want one playoff win or regular season wins. It still won't change the facts, this team is one of the most successful in the CFL in damn near every category...I know, I know, except the only one that matters. But to be consistent, takes consistency. And with consistency both playoff and regular season wins will come.

‘I SHOULDN’T BE HERE: THE ANDREW HARRIS STORY’
Bigblue204 replied to Fatty Liver's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
Nice, I was bummed out when I missed it on Monday night...damn NFL game! -
Keep in mind, that Stamps D was missing 4 starters. Including their MVP in Johnson. Take away Bighill, and 3 other starters on the Bombers D and see how well they perform.
-
I'd actually say no to medlock. I doubt he wants to take a cut, and honestly he is just too expensive. You don't need to pay a kicker that much. Hell, maybe Lankford trys out next year as a kicker lololololol
-
No chance Wolitarsky is still the Z rec next year. He is just too good. And to be fair, Bauming is actually fairly well connected to the team. I tend to believe him.
-
If they replace Dressler, which I don't think they will. I'd like it to be someone who has some upside. Not another aging vet the team can't rely on.
-
Randle can stay as far as I'm concerned. Got beat a few times, but otherwise was solid. His numbers show that as well. Fogg, he can not be a starter day 1 next year. Sure he makes the odd play, but I think that has more to do with just the amount of plays that are thrown his way. He gets picked on a lot, and occasionally makes a play. Need a star import WR. Someone who has game breaking ability. Any one of the names mentioned above I'd be happy with...with the exception of Matthews. Solid WR don't get me wrong, but just a personal preference to have more speed.
