  1. Just looking at our FA OL,

Anyone out of WPG's FA OL crop that is a "must have" to be brought back?

Or are there names on that list that posters really want us to go after?

Also, from all the Andrew Harris talk, I assumed he was a FA, guess not.

Guess I'd like to see Henoc, Kohlert, Stewart either Ford or Simpson...

  2. I don't mind that they are interviewing him.  I'd rather see them interview 5-6 guys even if they don't wanna come here or even if they are set on letting Kyle be the GM.  At least they show they are willing to look for someone not just announce some guy has been hired without even doing some leg work.  To me as a fan it shows the club is changing their stance for once!  By interviewing more guys you learn what they want/expect at a position and learn what they like and don't like about the team.  From there you can change the negatives and actually have people wanting to come here for a change!

  3. For those saying Dickenson doesn't want to come to Winnipeg because of the situation we have are wrong. He was interviewed for the Edmonton opening before Reed and declined because his family likes it in Calgary and wouldn't even consider moving north a few hours. Dickenson will remain in Calgary until a hc job opens there.

  4. If Walters is smart (and he seems to be) he would let Miller hire a GM and stay as AGM.  He has witnessed up close in person how many careers have been ruined in Bomber land the last few seasons.  Butchko,Crowton, Lapolice, Burke, Mack, etc. may never see another job in the CFL with the except of maybe Lapolice and possibly Burke going back to DC somewhere.  If he's smart he will sit back and learn for a few more years under what we all hope will be an experienced GM and not jump the gun to quickly and lose any respect he has gained in the league.

  5. I can't imagine what person, in any walk of life, anywhere, would prefer to have a terrible team over a brand new stadium.

Would you rather be a millionaire or have cancer?

I guess what i'm asking is......if we had to deal with having a poor football team for a few years while we had some time to pay off the massive debt of the stadium would you prefer that over having a good team and having to live in the old barn?  Personally I can handle the poor football for a few years while making adjustments to balance both.  I just don't think the club can succesfully do both right now.

  6. Which would you rather have?  A poor record for a few years or a brand new state of the art facility to watch football games in?  I know the cost of the stadium isn't directly related to the poor football performance over the last few years but the club likely cut cost in areas that have affected the play on the field.  So would you rather have a playoff team with a winning record and be sitting at Canad Inns still or a crappy team for a few years and a nice stadium?

Saturday was the first game in a long time where I found out the score by checking my phone.

I'll usually watch ANY Bomber game ... couldn't be bothered on Saturday.

I watched, but made good use of my PVR. With free Centre Ice right now, I was channel surfing between hockey games on Saturday. I'd go through the PVR of the Bombers game to see what was happening, but that was it. I blew through the entire game in maybe an hour, skipping ahead for most of the time we were on D.

I did the same thing.  Watched the first quarter PVRd the rest and went to the movies with the kids.  Came back and just skipped through.  First game I can remember truly not caring about....sad really!

And BTW wow do you get free center ice?!?

It's free for everyone until Oct. 19. I frickin' love it, but it may cost me my family if I keep it past then...

On Shaw? I don't think I get it on Bell.  Maybe I do IDK!  I know it didnt get the last two Jets games damn BELL!!

  9. I was looking forward to seeing Randle play...instead this is what they bring in....

    Mario Fannin

The 2011 undrafted free agent has yet to play a down thanks to a 2011 torn ACL and 2012 torn Achilles' tendon. Even if he was healthy, he was never going to survive the numbers game in Denver. Injuries have likely wrecked Fannin's shot of ever stepping onto an NFL field.

Well Kory Sheets went undrafted, was picked up by the Dolphins had one carry for 5 yards and was side lined with an achillies injury and never played in the NFL again....now look at him!

  10. I used park and ride from the Downs for the first time on Friday. Took and hour to get to the stadium because Bishop was clogged at Waverly. Is this normal? Also, the bus back used the Perimeter instead which was much faster. Why not use it on the way to the game? Ill still use park and ride in future, but I'm wondering if my experience was the norm?

The last 2 Friday games from the downs has been slow.  The light at Waverly and Bishop is messed up and is only letting like 3 cars through a light!  It hasn't always been like this and we have made it to the game in 30 min or less for most games.  Once the light issue is fixed it should be back to normal.  Also the route seems to change from driver to driver.  Some take the perimeter to wilkes, some take it to grant some take it to pembina some take back roads.  All are within a few minutes of each other and I have found it to be a great option.

Also for those who want pre and post game shows.  Ask the bus drivers to put the radio on for the bus.  Most have gladly turned it on for us to listen to on the way there or back.  I always take a radio anyways just in case :)
