Did he say that? I don't recall hearing it. We asked for permission to speak to him, like Dave Dickenson he said he was sticking in Calgary. Right...I do recall asking for permission but I didn't hear that he didn't want to leave Calgary. Oh well maybe they made a better offer in Ottawa.

Was it that Campbell had no intrest in Winnipeg or Winnipeg had no interest in Campbell?? I know that last thing I wanted was another DC turned HC....We have seen it too many times in this league. Now from ST to HC...who knows

Wow.....He would look good in Blue and Gold as an OC Defensive Coordinator.... He was a linebacker in the CFL. That was his history as a coach also. He has been a DL coach, OL Coach, OC, Ast HC, HC etc. etc. I don't really care what position they give him but he might be worth a look....although I doubt that happens.

Looks like the majority of MBB posters got who they wanted as HC. Guess we need a new poll for who we want as OC, DC, QB

As I said in the GM thread a while back, I am just glad they are actually interviewing more then one person!! I like how they are actually looking for a good fit and for someone who will be sucessful here. Not just promote the next water boy to be HC!

Guess I'd like to see Henoc, Kohlert, Stewart either Ford or Simpson...

I would also take all or any of those QBs

Some huge names on that list. Going to be interesting to see who gets protected, who goes to FA etc. I think if O'shea becomes our HC you may see some of this TO FA's come our way. Wouldn't mind seeing inman here!

What I feared the most! A rookie CEO leading a rookie GM who will likely lead a rookie HC.... I hope they can bring in an experienced HC or this maybe another long 4 years

I don't mind that they are interviewing him. I'd rather see them interview 5-6 guys even if they don't wanna come here or even if they are set on letting Kyle be the GM. At least they show they are willing to look for someone not just announce some guy has been hired without even doing some leg work. To me as a fan it shows the club is changing their stance for once! By interviewing more guys you learn what they want/expect at a position and learn what they like and don't like about the team. From there you can change the negatives and actually have people wanting to come here for a change!

Humm sure wouldn't it be weird having KJ as the head coach now and MB as the OC. Reverse as what they were in Hamilton ha ha.

For those saying Dickenson doesn't want to come to Winnipeg because of the situation we have are wrong. He was interviewed for the Edmonton opening before Reed and declined because his family likes it in Calgary and wouldn't even consider moving north a few hours. Dickenson will remain in Calgary until a hc job opens there.

If Walters is smart (and he seems to be) he would let Miller hire a GM and stay as AGM. He has witnessed up close in person how many careers have been ruined in Bomber land the last few seasons. Butchko,Crowton, Lapolice, Burke, Mack, etc. may never see another job in the CFL with the except of maybe Lapolice and possibly Burke going back to DC somewhere. If he's smart he will sit back and learn for a few more years under what we all hope will be an experienced GM and not jump the gun to quickly and lose any respect he has gained in the league.

I guess what i'm asking is......if we had to deal with having a poor football team for a few years while we had some time to pay off the massive debt of the stadium would you prefer that over having a good team and having to live in the old barn? Personally I can handle the poor football for a few years while making adjustments to balance both. I just don't think the club can succesfully do both right now.

Can we though? Can the club afford both or did they bite off more then they could chew with it?
