Great game to watch... the Cubs almost gave it away with errors and questionable managing of the pitching and the late game bunt.

Based on what Lawless has said, the reason Copp isn't playing is because they want him to gain much more experience in the AHL rather then him sitting and playing crap minutes with the big team. I'm in favour of them doing this. Now Dano sitting... that seems to be a waste to me.

It's a combination of many things that add up to why they can't sell it out. Older folks don't want to park and ride and spend an extra 2 hours on a tight school bus. Younger families don't want to spend the big money on concessions (they are over priced for what you get) . Winnipeg (unlike Ottawa) has a tonne of options throughout summer and fall for entertainment and it's hard to compete when we have so many concerts, festivals and other options to spend our money on. The Jets coming back also hurt them... So many factors and each one knocks the ticket sales down bit by bit.

After using Kodi for two years... it's hard to watch live TV with commercials at all without raging....

I was mostly impressed by certain guys being in good shape. Gretzky looked terrible, maybe he stormed out out of embarrassment? Messiers last goal was sick. Berthiaume looked to be in good shape, got up pretty easy. Lots of fun to watch.

The Switch looks interesting... at least it appears that for the most part it will be a decently powered console with a normal gamepad to play games on. The tablet , touch, motion controls crap from the Wii and Wii-U completely killed my interest and experiences with playing any of the games on them.

I thought they gutted 80% of the staff worldwide (not just in Canada)? It's also a shame that they rid themselves of all those staff .... yet kept Dana White.

I lived 2 - 3 years in Ottawa... what I found is that a lot of the city has people who are purely workaholics/business oriented and they tend to focus on work and keep to themselves. A lot of people I worked with had no kids and really were not really into going out and having fun. I remember how one radio station was trying to get a petition going to get concerts to stop by to Ottawa since they never get any of the big acts. It's amazing how much more concerts and other arts come to Winnipeg compared to Ottawa. When I lived there during the Sens cup run the town was really big into the team.... up until they lost. I went to the airport to see the team when they came back expecting that their would be festivities and a big group of fans gathering.... their was maybe 100 people if that. For hockey , it was mostly Leafs fans, followed by Habs fans from Gatineau and a small minority actually cared about the Sens. The arena is good and it's not that hard to access it, my guess is that people just don't give a crap because the city is full of fair weather fans and the older more rich folks are stuck up and just don't leave the house. Their only hope would be to be like the Redblacks and move somewhere centralized and where they can attract the younger university/college kids (the only people in town who like to have fun).

So what *if* they low ball and offer him a 2 year contract..... meanwhile Toronto/Montreal sees a young coach who progressed with a really good season and then offers him a 3- 4 year deal?

I have EA Access... so my NHL is always a year old....
