What is Chris Jones upto these days? Maybe he can come in and replace Jake Thomas with Duron Carter for 2026?

Driving through downtown today for the first time in a few months... noticed many more buildings have been boarded up and are for lease. The tent city near Disraeli/Main has grown to a massive size with everything in that area now covered in graffiti. I saw a guy watering the streets with his home made apple juice from the boulevard near P & M. I saw maybe 10 normal working folks waiting for the bus or crossing streets and about 30 drunk folks stumbling around. Driving by Portage Place with a huge chunk being torn down and the beautiful park/water feature across the street still torn up and still being demolished.... feels like the aftermath of a warzone. I can't believe how far gone our downtown is. The mayor should be in crisis mode trying to do something with it. I'd never in a million years ever let my daughter or wife set foot in that area without some sort of protection. It's realllllllllly bad now.

CS Collectibles is deep in T-Cona and I assume it's a similar type of store.

Nope when you first would go into the restaurant and the booths on the very right. For the longest time they had tchotchkes pinned on the wall/ceiling.

It's all gone, it's bright with lots of yellow and red colors splashed around the walls. They had a mini renovation a few years back where they had taken down all the random crap up on the ceiling/wall. So no more Roy Orbison vinyls and pictures of Burton Cummings. What was funny is that they had taken them down but never repainted/revarnished the wooden panels and you could then see the outlines of the faded colors where everything was pinned up.

We tried IHop / Applebees for lunch today. The renovation really has brighten up the restaurant. It looks much better and far less 1990's then the previous decor. The place was jam packed full of seniors , nearly every table was taken. The prices seem to have also increased sharply. The Applebees special where you get 2 meals and 1 appetizer was really expensive. The menu shows 2 for 50.... but 9 out of the 12 meals that you can select have a 3 - 5 dollar upcharge for them. So what my wife and I would normally get (2 fiesta lime chicken + mozza sticks) was 2 for $58 dollars. If you were to order them individually off the menu it all comes to $59. So this "special" is only one dollar off which is really dumb. In the States even after the recent inflation this same combo is 2 for $35 after currency conversion. I'm not sure why it's so expensive up here. My wife ordered the $18 ultimate breakfast , it tasted good but the portions are quite small. It was enough for her, but I'd imagine none of my guy friends or myself would be satisfied with the size. The wrap I ordered was half the size of what it was pre make over and for 22 dollars it was over priced. I'm not a breakfast person , my wife is and said that Stella's and Ben and Fiorentines are much better. I wouldn't go back.

Better idea... start Zach let him get hurt and out for the season. Play Strelever until 3 minutes left in the 4th quarter and give Wilson one series where he hands the ball off twice. In the first half of the play off game Strev will get hurt by pointlessly bull rushing the D. Wilson then comes in completely cold with no real reps and looks rusty and we end up losing the game. O'Shea then when asked what they could have done differently. He will then answer by doing this face:

We tried Freddie's for the first time this afternoon. I would say it taste extremely similar to Dairy Queen. Better then McDonalds and Burger King... but lower then A & W and Wendys. My wife ordered the Truffle Crunch Steakburger with Onion Rings. They used canned mushrooms (despite the photos looking like they were using real ones) and the onion rings were straight out of what you get at a canteen at a hockey ring. Cheap frozen ones. I ordered some sort of bacon cheeseburger, they use processed cheese and the bacon was paper thin like at McDonalds. The meat was good and I don't believe it was frozen, that was the one thing they did really well. We didn't try the custard so I can't comment on that. Overall I wouldn't go back since Fat Burger which is a few minutes away blows it away and is similarily priced.

Glue guys are supposed to be at least a C+ to B level of player. Rasheed Bailey was a glue guy who could elevate and make big plays and would consistently be a reliable player. You need guys like that to fill out the roster. Jake Thomas is a Damian Jackson guy who is nice but at most is a D+ level player who makes one play every month.

Nothing saying that they couldn't bring Jake Thomas as a coach / water boy / mascot for morale.... Jake isn't the reason why we are doing so poorly this season... but he's such an obvious guy that should have been upgraded and the fact that they have made minimal efforts is alarming. It doesn't give us the confidence that they'll replace guys in other positions where a tough decision is required.

I'd like to believe that for every Evander Kane, the NHL has 20 great guys who are great ambassadors for the league/sport. I've only had minimal interactions with some of the players on the current Jets roster and they have all been A+++. Great guys.

I wonder how Reggie White Jr would have turned out had they kept him instead. Also I wonder why they didn't sign any other free agent receivers during the off season?

Dude his arm was cooked for the last 2 seasons he played for us. Instead of blaming LaPo rewatch his games... the guy could *only* make 5 - 10 yard passes. If only you knew what kind of things that many of our greatest Bombers used to do with women around town. Also kind of hypocritical when a guy like Lawler drives drunk and puts peoples lives at danger yet you gave him a 2nd chance and yet Kelly being a sex pest is somehow worse? I'd take Kelly next year over rolling out Zach and his 2 back breaking ints per game.

It's called being a realist. If I were to have to put money down on who wins the Grey Cup... I most certainly would lean towards putting that money on the Riders over the Bombers this season. It's not being a "bad fan" , it's called being a realist. Everyone on here "hopes" the Blue can pull off a miracle and win it this season. It's just that based on what they have shown it's highly unlikely. So people are saying what the 2nd best option would be. For myself I say Hamilton because I'd rather that fan base gets to enjoy a Grey Cup win over listening to Rider fans celebrate and be ultra annoying about winning the cup.

I don't think the o-line is fully to blame... on those deep balls he has time. It's the arm and decision making that is really hurting his play. If he's going to make random decisions and just toss "bombs" in hopes of the receiver making a play... I'd much rather we had kept Dolegala because at least he is healthy and has a strong enough arm so that the receiver "can" make a play for the ball. Their is a reason why noodle arm Nichols was doing short passes at the end... he knew his limitations and tried the best with what he could do. Zach is just ... yikes. His arm is not as shot as Nichols was... but it's definitely not strong enough for him to make those bombs. It would have been real nice to have given Wilson some game time this season to see if he has what it takes to play. Next season... try to make a play for Kelly or bring in a guy like MBT as a stop gap until we find a long term solution. Zach at 600+ next season is going to really hurt this team.

I'm ok with Hamilton going on a streak and winning it all. It would be nice for the community to finally get a win after all these years.

I know I shouldn't but I'm already looking ahead for next season (with the assumption that this season is a write off). I'm going to assume next season Hogan is gone and we either bring in someone from the outside or Jarious is promoted. I'm done with Zach being our QB, we are stuck with a huge contract next season and I can't believe he will improve after 2 terrible seasons in a row. Strev also isn't the answer. With all that being said... if possible would you straight up trade Zach for Chad Kelly? Coming off an injury, the off field issues, and Toronto appears to have moved on from him. Outside of MBT , Tre Ford, and several fringe back ups... I don't see anyone that we could grab and start immediately. He's on his last year of his contract and a much higher upside then starting Zach for another season. Outside of complaining about him being a sex pest, I would think that's the best player we could get.

Do you think for next season we bring back LaPo for round 3 (or is it 4 now?)
