I keep thinking about a few years back when the Riders brought in guys like Patterson/Dolegala/Fine and those guys were able to hop right in and play. They weren't running a dink and dunk 5 yard check down game either, they ran the complete O with varying levels of success and failure. It feels like the Blue haven't done anything like this in years. It's always a back up QB comes in and it's just flat.

Veteran insurance. It would be nice if for this season they can give our back ups some real reps throughout the season. Many times over the last several seasons we could have given Wilson or McGuire before him some real reps.

Super Bowl was a bit of a snoozer for me. The first half was boring as could be. 2nd half was better. I'm glad Seattle won, the Pats were gifted an easy schedule this season and had an easy play off run barely squeaking by a QB who had thrown zero passes this season. The half time show looked so cheap this year? Usually they have eloborate sets and big dance numbers and this felt very very cheap. Also a tonne of lip synching and the music itself was a big meh. It felt like I was listening to a DJ at the pool bar when I'm in Mexico lol. It didn't feel like a big show to me.

We could of used him last season , I hope he comes back for a day to retire as a Bomber.

As of 3:30 pm today the font is now back to a normal size and everything is looking and running good when using a desktop.

Earlier this morning things looked good, as of now (noon) the font is quite small. Using Chrome on a 34" ultrawide. Is their an option/preference to increase font size?

Farhan isn't wrong.... in 4 seasons Tommy has thrown 12/21 passes for 83 yards. He's carried the ball 210 times.

Lemon / Mauldin could probably be picked up on the cheap. Might be serviceable in a rotation on a one year prove me deal.

The Riders did re-up a bunch of players, but no question they took a major punch to the gut with the losses. It will TBD if the recruits they bring in can perform. We always say you don't win a cup when you win free agency (see the Elks over the last 15 seasons). However losing 5 - 10 quality young players and depth pieces in one year cannot make the run any easier. It wasn't like they shedded dead weight from the club. Also Vaughters isn't the worst guy in the league... he's just an invisible guy. If he plays how he did last season then he's a C level signing. If he can perform at his best then he's more of a B+ signing.

I'd assume they may pick up veteran scraps at the end of free agency. Maybe a guy like Shawn Lemon. Maybe TCF at QB like a Caleb Evans kind of guy.

But that is my point. We can spend big money on a 1 - 2 guys in FA each year and still have enough money to sign other quality free agents. This year we paid the highest amount for a RB and an olineman. We also paid big money for a receiver, a dlineman, another oline, etc.... It's not like Walters has to wait 5 seasons to save enough money to start spending again. At no point did we ever have a Rourke/Adams situation as they had in BC.
