I was just trying to see if the qb's have improved from last week. It appears Davis is a tad more comfortable from what I've seen. Fajardo seems to float balls but the guys seemed wide open.

So I've only watched the 2nd half... why hasn't Ottawa blitzed more often? It seems like they have had no pressure and are playing a very soft zone? Is Fajardo the real deal or is this a case of bad defense?

I thought Lefors was healthy for the first 4 games but the offense was absolutely terrible. I don't blame him as I do remember the play calling and confusion was a huge reason for the ball not being moved. He ended up getting hurt and they hauled in Bishop. What I did not know was that he had worked out Casey Printers in the off season... Unlike Ottawa's last game... I do think this game comes down to turn overs. This is a golden chance for Riders to come out with a win , if they lose this one then this is not a good sign.

In fairness Bishop was what 12 - 0 with Toronto at one point in time? The stats don't tell the full truth. That being said if it's simply easy enough to hand off a ball to an all star RB then shouldn't Fajardo have an easy time and a tonne of wins because of Powell? I don't think anyone thinks Nichols is some kind of hall of fame all time great qb. He is however smart enough to avoid making huge mistakes and I would think if we had a guy like Jennings throwing the ball that we would of lost many more games with all the unnecessary turn overs. As for Harris and sands of time.... we drafted his replacement who looks real good and Streveler will be the QB at that time.

I would of traded for him last season, him for Petan straight up.... nothing more though.

I'd imagine that their are several air bnb near the Stadium for decent prices. I would definitely recommend doing this. If not the park and ride system is adequate and can open up much more options for places to stay.

As long as we are running for 100 - 150 as a team then I don't think the 300 mark really matters. I'm more concerned when we have to many two and outs and/or when we can't complete basic routine passes.

In Hayes they got one of the most desired players at the trade deadline... what else did you want them to do? What trades did they make that was so bad? After listening to the New York reporter who was on 1290 earlier today say that Trouba basically gave the Jets only 2 teams to deal with and then talk up Pionk by basically saying he was playing on the first pairing defense and how the Rangers were a crap defensive team all around and saying that he's much better then what the analytics suggest then I don't think the trade is really that bad.

They tried for Harris and missed out... I think they should of went for Jennings as a stop gap ... at least he can move and take a few hits.

I shitted on Nichols in the first quarter because he was off and missing easy throws, but for the rest of the game how could one not say he played very well? It's not like BC's defense was so bad that Fajardo would of thrown those 3 tds and moved the ball with no issues?

Nathan Beaulieu sucked balls and came to Winnipeg and seemed to fit in well and looked competent. I'll give the new guy the benefit of the doubt and would temper my expectations on him being maybe a 3rd line pairing / injury depth kind of guy.

On the radio they said he wanted to go to the states because he believes his brand / stardom would be much higher down south rather then up in Canada. The guy is a good player but I don't think he's Wheaties box type caliber IMO....

I understand not trading for several players in order to save money... it would of been nice had they at least received another 3rd / 4th round pick ….. it does feel like we got rid of Trouba for nothing since Hayes is no longer with us.

I feel bad that Khari is working with an absolute zero of a QB. They have some decent pieces but you won't win games with a QB who turns his back to the play while trying to scramble and a back up who tosses floaters into the wrong area of the field.

I don't understand how Edmonton is not over Calgary. Regardless things will sort out as the season goes on.
