Jeeze I leave the room to get a drink and come back and they already are losing. It's getting more difficult to choose watching this team over watching the endless amounts of movies in my backlog....

FYI .... other clubs in the CFL lose veterans every season. Why is it so odd that we lose a few and it's looked upon as something bizarre and unheard of. If anything the Bombers have had the smallest amount of change over during the last 5 seasons and to a certain extent it's hurt the club.

Me thinks people have tunnel vision and are focusing on when LaPo had him running the gadget plays. The only thing this season that Strev needs to work on is his touch and placement on his short dump off passes.

We ordered from Pancho & Lefty's which is mexican food and it was above average. The tacos and Mexican street corn were really tasty and the prices were reasonable. It's located on Watt street near Nairn Ave and I believe they only do take-out and delivery (we did delivery). The pic below from their site is accurate with what we received.

I keep going back to the first time I saw Strev play live in person in his first season. When Nichols was completely washed up and couldn't do anything outside of a 5 yard dunk pass. It was 100% clear Nichols was shot and the O was lethargic and was so easy to gameplan against. Strev comes in and plays as a QB who scrambled and occasionally ran for a first down. His weird throwing motion (almost like he was flicking a dart) was surprisingly effective since it released the ball quickly and what he did that Matt didn't was make quick decisions, tossed the ball to receivers who were 10+ yards down field and let them make a play. Guys like Darvin and Wolitarsky who were seeing nothing suddenly became part of the game which opened things up. The next season when LaPo was trying to me smart and would run ridiculous flea flicker qb cartwheel cannon ball end around dispy doo plays that would end up hurting Strev and completely neutered him as a QB. We need Strev to play as a QB, the battering ram QB shtick wont last. Last week when Strev rolled out and dumped it off to Brady it absolutely froze Ottawa and those plays are what I think we need to use Strevs legs for.

Strev was so bad and regressed so badly that he stayed in the NFL and several times made it on the news for his amazing play and how his team mates loved him. Sounds like a bum!

I didn't watch the game but Mitchell ended the game with 374 yards... wasn't he at only 120 yards in the 3rd quarter? Lots of garbage time stats?

A lotttttt of players have baggage that would make the league look bad if it went all public. I'm assuming if you believe Kelly should be banished that the Blue should of never brought back Lawler and he should also be blacklisted. Drunk drivers kill so many people every year and it's equally as bad as violence on women.

He wasn't running hard on every play into a pile of players.... Strev even when he was handing off was smashing himself into the D. It was very noticeable.

In the first half when Brown was still playing it felt like he had all the time in the world dropping back to find his deep receivers... with Strev it felt like he was getting one steamboat and instantly facing heat. The difference in our pass protection from last year compared to this year is night and day different. The line needs help big time.

I'm not a fan of the 2019 Strev stuff.... I'd like to see him throw the ball more and take far less contact in the game. I do enjoy watching him roll out and dumping it off to Brady.... reminded me old school Flutie who would be able to non stop shovel pass the ball for 5 - 10 yard gains.

Maybe we can sign an NFL cut later in the season to replace Bighill and company? We used to be able to recruit solid linebackers.... baaaack in the day.

Is he playing hurt? Is he completely shot? Would O'Shea even consider benching him? Instead of cutting him do they put him on the IR? Could Walters work a miracle and fleece another team with a trade ? Are we all over reacting on his level of play?

Not going to happen, O'Shea won't replace him unless he suffers a massive injury.

This is the first game I've watched this season. Has the defence been this soft all season? Seriously I've never seen such a soft hitting and negative-intensity group of D before? Each run play it's almost like they freeze and watch the guy and then make a soft tackle 3 - 5 yards later. I've yet to see a "big hit" outside of the hit on Brown that took him out. Do we have a tackle for a loss or even for a minimal gain? Outside of Jefferson do we have anyone on D who is a play maker who can do anything? Kramdi also is completely useless. On O the o-line needs some help but everything else seems fine to me.

Slowly Zack is turning into Matt Nichols Thankfully the last time Strev came in for an injured shot QB he instantly spread the ball around and guys who were invisible beforehand started to get receptions and opportunities to make plays.

I honestly think a lot of fairweather Rider fans stopped following the team two seasons ago. The Riderfans forum is really quiet these days.

Zach looks like he is cooked, I'd give him three more starts this season and if things don't change then why not move on with Strev. It's very unlikely that a guy in his late 30's bounces back.

What a back breaking penalty they had that ended up with Dukes forcing a really bad throw into the hands of the Riders db. Dukes looks like a rookie QB going through the growing pains.

Nope not at all, I just want the club to use him as a normal QB and stop pigeon holing him into a running guy with gadget plays. He is starter material and just needs some play time to get back into a groove.
