The answers are obvious... but it's not like we only need to replace JT and things will be instantly better. I'd imagine we have like 10 starters that we need to move on from and like 75% of our "depth players" need to be replaced. This team needs a lot of new faces and new energy. Our depth has been really poor the last 2 seasons.

Walters was the guy that extended Zach for big bucks... I'm 50/50 on him.

Damn I have been so disinterested in this club this year that I forgot they were playing and missed the game. This club needs to fire Hogan and sign minimum 4 starters in free agency for next season. If this doesn't happen then I can't imagine this club getting any better.

Another bus driver assaulted tonight near Springfield and Gateway. At this point nobody is going to want to drive or take transit in Winnipeg. Zero % chance that I'd let my kids ride public transit these days.

He is/was better then Strev. He's worth a shot but only in the right system and he would really benefit sitting behind a veteran QB or a guy like Dave Dickenson coaching him for a year or two. We unfortunately don't have two years to invest in a guy for him to get better.

Disagree with that, more real game time against real players makes a huge difference in the ability to read a D. Not to mention these guys are new to the CFL and have to re-learn with all the unique CFL differences.

Only guy without multiple concussions, multiple leg injuries, multiple mileage...... no idea why they wouldn't give him some time earlier in the year when they had several games that they could have used a change of pace QB.

This is why it would have made sense to give Wilson some reps through out the season. This isn't the way I wanted them to give him reps... it would have been much better to not rely on an injury but that seems to be the ONLY way guys get a chance on this club this season. For the love of god I hope they don't bring back Strev for next season after this.... next year we need a clean start with new healthy QBs.

What is Chris Jones upto these days? Maybe he can come in and replace Jake Thomas with Duron Carter for 2026?

Driving through downtown today for the first time in a few months... noticed many more buildings have been boarded up and are for lease. The tent city near Disraeli/Main has grown to a massive size with everything in that area now covered in graffiti. I saw a guy watering the streets with his home made apple juice from the boulevard near P & M. I saw maybe 10 normal working folks waiting for the bus or crossing streets and about 30 drunk folks stumbling around. Driving by Portage Place with a huge chunk being torn down and the beautiful park/water feature across the street still torn up and still being demolished.... feels like the aftermath of a warzone. I can't believe how far gone our downtown is. The mayor should be in crisis mode trying to do something with it. I'd never in a million years ever let my daughter or wife set foot in that area without some sort of protection. It's realllllllllly bad now.

Nope when you first would go into the restaurant and the booths on the very right. For the longest time they had tchotchkes pinned on the wall/ceiling.

It's all gone, it's bright with lots of yellow and red colors splashed around the walls. They had a mini renovation a few years back where they had taken down all the random crap up on the ceiling/wall. So no more Roy Orbison vinyls and pictures of Burton Cummings. What was funny is that they had taken them down but never repainted/revarnished the wooden panels and you could then see the outlines of the faded colors where everything was pinned up.

We tried IHop / Applebees for lunch today. The renovation really has brighten up the restaurant. It looks much better and far less 1990's then the previous decor. The place was jam packed full of seniors , nearly every table was taken. The prices seem to have also increased sharply. The Applebees special where you get 2 meals and 1 appetizer was really expensive. The menu shows 2 for 50.... but 9 out of the 12 meals that you can select have a 3 - 5 dollar upcharge for them. So what my wife and I would normally get (2 fiesta lime chicken + mozza sticks) was 2 for $58 dollars. If you were to order them individually off the menu it all comes to $59. So this "special" is only one dollar off which is really dumb. In the States even after the recent inflation this same combo is 2 for $35 after currency conversion. I'm not sure why it's so expensive up here. My wife ordered the $18 ultimate breakfast , it tasted good but the portions are quite small. It was enough for her, but I'd imagine none of my guy friends or myself would be satisfied with the size. The wrap I ordered was half the size of what it was pre make over and for 22 dollars it was over priced. I'm not a breakfast person , my wife is and said that Stella's and Ben and Fiorentines are much better. I wouldn't go back.
