  1. Ok I guess my point was incorrect as one player showed well and the 20 other players they rotated in and out were extremely mediocre.
  2. If you go to Grand Forks/Fargo they have Paradiso's which is the same tex-mex food that Chi Chi's used to serve. The Chi-chi's on Regent Ave used to be very busy and very successful back in the day. I remember always having to wait for a table and the free taco chips and salsa and everyone 'wow'ing over the sizzling fajitas that were being served. I do remember it being a good experience with good food. Eventually the owner sold it at its peak and the new owners had no clue how to run a restaurant and within 2 years they lost their franchise and renamed it to a different Mexican name and then closed shop not much later. I'm always amazed that nobody has set up a Tex-Mex shop since then.
  3. I would think Harris would need to be slowly brought into a role of an OC and I can't imagine his ego allowing him to be a RB coach or receivers coach for a few years beforehand. I'm not sure if Buck was the problem or if it was ZC tossing high risk throws that resulted in our issues last season. I'm not sure it was designed by Buck for Zach to throw it into triple coverage. I guess we will find out next season.
  4. I will disagree, the last two seasons at least we've brought in a whole lot of players who are barely depth level players in the league. I can't think of anyone new that is remotely close to being considered an all star level of talent. The d-line and lbers have rotated in and out with very little success. The punter is god awful. The o-line has aged and the only new blood that saw lots of play time is a Rider cut. Our import talent has been a whole lot of meh. Our Canadian talent has looked as good as it has in the past so I will say for that part we are doing a good job of bringing in fresh faces that can make plays.
  5. Is it though? The last three seasons has been a whole lot of meeeeeeeeeeeeeeh with the new blood that they brought in.
  6. I would think that Greg Battle and Tyrone Jones would go in before Bighill.
  7. I'm assuming Bryant is an automatic for the ring of honour?
  8. Tre Ford is #1? The guy couldn't even win a starting job on a bad team.
  9. The previous theatre at KP was equally as expensive. A kids combo which was a tiny bucket of popcorn a candy and a small drink was $25. This is why we used to (and still do) buy the packages from Costco which cut the costs quite a bit.
  10. You mean $30 for a popcorn , soda, and one candy is not reasonable? I now understand why my Mom always would bring her big purse to the movies when I was a child. We continue that tradition as I don't feel like dropping $100+ dollars on popcorn and drinks when instead we can go to Dollarama/WalMart and get a whole lot more of snacks for only a fraction of the price.
  11. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-14134669/dolph-lundgren-cancer-free-update-years-live.html He has the powwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwer!
  12. Imagine if Lapo becomes our OC and we sign Tre Ford.... I could only imagine how many flea flicker double reverse hail mary plays we would run!
  13. And Bogosians room-mate was Jacob Trouba during that time.
  14. Just like the internet made up all of the Evander Kane issues.
  15. I thought the issue with Trouba was his drug problems off the ice and his family wanting him closer to home so they can keep an eye on him? I'd assume the Jets wouldn't want anyone with a history or character issues.
  16. If I have to pick one it's MBT. He's durable... he's nutty... but he at least can throw the damn ball down the field. I'd rather take my chances in a nutbar who can give our receivers the chance to make a play over a hamburger fatty who sits in the pocket or a prancing prima donna who spins in the pocket and can't throw deep for $hite.
  17. YouTube does not pay well at all, he would have to get in the 100 000 of views per video to make any decent money from ad revenue or potential sponsors. The CFL is far to niche to reach that level. I'm guessing the TSN panel members make $50 000 - 75 000 per year. That's what Glass Door suggests and it's Canadian Football.... the States pays way more because they have a significantly larger viewing audience and budget.
  18. I'm guessing the next step is who Edmonton decides to go forward with? Once that's decided then the remaining QB's will be taking pay cuts to be veteran back ups around the league. I'm curious on what happens with Strev and if he stays with us next season?
  19. Nichols checked down because he couldn't throw the ball with any velocity. The more LaPo had with Strev it ended up being ridiculous trick plays... when LaPo stuck with the basics it worked. I'm in favour of trying someone new... we don't need some kind of mad scientist of an OC to figure out that handing the ball off to Brady = 5+ yards on average. Maybe we need more creativity in getting Demski involved with the short passes since that seemed to have disappeared last season. Also Augustine still averaged 5.0 yards per carry yet again.. why not give him a few carries to help lighten the load on Brady.
  20. I'm sure Threads will make a come back also
  21. It'll be dead within a few months, they already are begging people to join. See Mastadon from a few years back.
  22. It doesn't seem like the old days when the club would sign an NFL cut mid season and that guy would make an impact right away. It feels like we try guys out in pre season and then roll them out through the year and never bring anyone else unless we run out of guys from injuries.
  23. Either way... some sort of change needs to happen. It is unfortunate that Zach is making such a hefty salary as it would be nice to have enough money for a 1a and 1b. I don't know if a Davis Alexander would want to sign for a smaller contract only for him to hold a clipboard.
  24. I am not worrying, I'm saying that average QB play may have gave us the win. Zach in the Grey Cup has played extremely sub par over the last few appearences. Reminder... he was outplayed by Cody Fajardo and Nick Arbuckle... that's not good. The question is... was it Zach's play that got us to the big game? I'm not so sure... I know if we had lost Brady that it would of been the difference between going to the cup or not. I'm curious to see how a different veteran qb would play on our team. Because I think our o-line isn't as bad as people have said... the receivers are above average and the rb play is outstanding. Maybe it is all coaching? That also is TBD.
  25. I wonder had Harris played for us in the Grey Cup if the outcome would of been different. Harris doesn't throw prayer and a wish deep throws... he's vanilla but maybe vanilla may have been a better shot then just chucking and praying.
